“Stopped by for a coffee while on the way to visit some family. Everyone really enjoyed their drinks and the gluten free brownies. The staff we friendly and we had some good fun with them.We will definitely be back!”

“Excellent experience. Lunch for three of us. 2 had the 2 piece cod & chips special and 1 had the clubhouse with fries. All were cooked perfectly and the servings were good size. Very busy, the parking lot was full, but we were seated and served quickly and efficiently. very nice comfortable atmosphere. Prices were comparable to other eating establishments. It is worth the trip.”

“They’re a bit of a drive for us and their hours aren’t the best but we love their food as you get so much with the price you pay for. The staff working there are also all so friendly. We do miss the larger hot food menu they used to have before the pandemic where they had the rice dish with the spicy chicken. Photos are taken last Aug 2023 and may not reflect the prices today.”

“Old Victoria Water Company is a pleasure to work with. Always quick to respond and super helpful in the office, while the delivery people are friendly and helpful. I have received much better service at the same price from this outfit than I did from much bigger companies that are based out of the US, despite branding themselves as "Canadian".”

“The place is decent, the food was good and the super Cesar was really unique! Although the service was quite long and I got there at also 6:30pm and stayed there till over an hour later because of how long the service lasted, I don’t know if they’re short staffed or they were way behind on making food for other people cause I did notice a lot of food were left out to serve and that took awhile for one person to serve one another. But nevertheless and despite that it did took awhile for my food being served, it did came out hot and not cold and it was good either way.”

“Great place! We are from Victoria and came to check it out. Jim, the owner was really chill and has a great place running. Turkey sandwiches were yummy with the cranberry jam. I had an ice mocha. Good sized. Will def be back! Love the outdoor area too, it’s nice if you’re still wanting to socially distance or if it’s sunny and warm.”

“Good food. Excellent service. Quality.Parking: Next to a motel along the Pat Bay highway. Lots of parking but tricky to find the entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp but it's a bit narrow, from observation.”

“I came here with a group of geocachers after our Spogomi. This is a Japanese term which means the sport of picking up trash. We picked up 35 kg of trash and 1 lb of cigarette butts in less than 1 hour. McDonald's was gracious enough to allow us to put their garbage in their bins. Lots of fun.”

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!”

“Incredible food and service. Our server Renee(hope that’s spelled right) was knowledgeable about the menu and excellent. The food was the best Indian food I have ever eaten in Victoria. I recommend it all but particularly the fish pakora as a start and the lamb curry to follow. Wow! Thank you for an amazing experience all around.”

“This deli has many Mediterranean items for sale which takes up most of the store. There’s a few tables in the middle of the store for people who want to sit and eat. And there is a big kitchen with display counters that are refrigerated for all the prepared foods that are made here. My favourites are spanakopita, and a Greek dessert bougatsa. Phyllo pastry wrapped around an inner filling of luscious not too sweet custard. I’ve never tried it, but I hear good things about their pizza. ? in fact, I think I go back today and try it.They also have lots of staff in the kitchen to serve you. Pictures next time.”

“They serve generous portions of chips, easily sufficient for three people with a small size. I wish the chips were a bit more crispier though. The coleslaw was delicious, and the halibut was exceptional. Although I'm not usually a fan of salmon, it was surprisingly good. With its reasonable prices and ample servings, it's definitely a great place to visit!”
