Omakase Izakaya & Sushi Bar

Sushi rolls are fine, but DO NOT order their chirashi don. It was a wildly priced bowl of plain vinegar rice with a few piece of sashimi on top. For the price of that chirashi don ($45), I could get a plate of assorted sashimi that has good pieces like toro at other places, but here I only got a few pieces of tuna/salmon and even tamago... TBH who puts tomago in a 45 dollar sashimi plate... Only thing noticeable was a sweet prawn maybe? Anyway, not well seasoned neither.

We had never ordered from here but it was the only place open on a Monday when all of our “go to” sushi restaurants in Victoria were closed. Order was large (ebi tempura; yakitori; salmon and ahi sashimi; steak sauce so we can add it to our home cooked rice; a few rolls; ebi nigiri; edamame and some miso). Apparently this place is also the kitchen for a new restaurant 'Chickenability'. We ordered for pickup from Doordash today - I would give 2 stars as a combo of bad customer service and tasty food. The owner's (I guess?) face looked grumpy when we arrived at their pickup window. We let him know we were picking up our order from Doordash and he forced us to show some 4-digit code?
