Surprisingly good bbq tucked away in a "sandwich" shop. Fried chicken is ok. They give 1 biscuit when you buy an 8 piece. The biscuit was good. All the BBQ meats were good. Service was good! I'll be back.
If you haven't tried the BBQ yet, I really recommend it.Been here a few times in the oast but most recently for the BBQ and it was super delicious. Meat is slow cooked in a smoker smothered in BBQ sauce that the owner himself makes from scratch. Told me he has been making that stuff for his 8 children their whole life. I appreciate the generous portion of the plate and the overall quality of the food. I will come back again and again.

Finally! Some actual soul food in Alameda. I usually had the BLT when the old owners ran the place, but now that the new owners have added soul food, I had to check it out. It was great! The ribs were delicious. I was going to buy extra bbq sauce, but I didn't need it. They put a generous amount on the ribs and they tasted great. The bbq baked beans were good too.
