“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“
“They have the best xiao long bao! I tried XLB at other restaurants and it's not the same. I also love their friend rice, spicy wonton, spicy noodle, cucumber salad, and taro desserts! Besides the good food, the service is also excellent. Although, the wait can be really long! So make sure to make reservation or come right when they open to avoid the long wait. There's also yelp waitlist so that might help with the wait a bit.“
“Authentic Chinese food specializing in noodles. Beef and pork on the limited menu, no chicken.House special fried noodles with pork was excellent. Also had pork meatballs and cilantro pork dumplings. All excellent and a nice proportion.Only 6 tables, luckily 1 available when we arrived at 1:20 pm. We will come back.“
“Pros and consPros:?They have changed face show. Interesting.? If you order noodles, they have noodles show from scratch.? Little snacks are provided while a long waiting if no reservations? Disposable Toothbrush and toothpaste are providedCons:⛑️We have party of 8 without reservations. Waiting time is more than half an hour.⛑️ Finally we agreed to sit in a 6 people table for 8 of us. Unfortunately 3 out of 6 stoves are broken. Unacceptable ?⛑️Actually they have another 6 people table available. Then they brought us to that table per our request. The service of the receptionist was so unprofessional.⛑️ Credit card machine is tricky. Pay attention. In the future, I may visit again but in a smaller group size.“
“Dimsum was pretty good IF/WHEN you get seating. We ate the usual dimsum; dishes were freshly made. Some unique, & some common. The only complaint I have is one party cut in line because they actually know one of the chefs, which is a typical Asian move. Chances of me returning is 2/10. Lastly, parking sucks.“
“So good! We had the spicy beef soup with wide noodles, the chow mein with triangle noodles, and the pork burger. All were very good! The beef noodle soup was great and the chewiness of the noodles was fantastic. Will have to return and try many more things. The chili oil was on point. The man who took our order was very friendly.“
“I enjoyed all the food I ordered. Scallion pancakes, pork bun, braised beef soup with thin and thick noodles, and the best fried rice ever. I would definitely order from here again. Too bad I didn't take any pictures of my food as I gobbled it all up. One thing to note is that, and I believe, there are 4 types of noodle options, thick, thin, flat, and wide!Parking: Shares a small lot with the rest of the plaza“
“My favorite restaurant in Arcadia. I highly recommend the liang pi (cold noodles), ziajiang (dry noodles), and Guilin soup (noodle soup). Plus their Guilin soup is my go-to hangover soup dish. It basically saved my life.edit: Forgot to mention, their portions are huge. It's well worth the price. You can easily eat any entree for 2 meals. For me, it takes closer to 3 meals.“
“Pretty solid noodle house with yummy broth and a good variety of choices to order from. We ordered the Crabmeat Tomato Basil Noodles and House Special with Mixed Noodles. We thought the flavors were good and there was enough to take home for some leftovers. The place wasn’t crowded before noon. This is our second time here and they have specials if you order over $39 worth of food and pay in cash you can get a drink included with your meal. Hope this place stays around. Parking on the street if it’s available.“
“Pretty amazing section style cuisine! The spicy beef noodle soup , Dan Dan noodles, scallion pancakes, and Xiaongnbao were among the very best we've ever had. Okay prices and plenty of parking. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.“
“On a Tuesday evening around 6PM, there was only one other table seated, and the employee was mixing ground beef. She was very sweet, and offered suggestions despite the language barrier. She also asked if I needed utensils or napkins with my to-go order. The place did give off authentic vibes, with there being minimal english throughout the restaurant (e.g. menu, spoken language, etc). We ended up getting food to-go: - Chongqing Noodles $8; very simple noodle dish with no soup. Szechuan, numbing flavor, with one fried egg and a dan dan noodle texture. I prefer my noodles bouncier, so it personally was not a favorite.- Shrimp Wonton $11; not much shrimp flavor. More pork than shrimp. I wouldn't get either of these again, but their rice dishes look promising.“
“It is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I love the autentesidy of Chinese cuisine Chang's Garden has on its menu. The food is tasty, fresh and well-executive. The servers are always friendly and attentive. The environment in the restaurant is excellent and clean. I highly recommend it if you want to have a great experience trying authentic Chinese food.“
“I missed that this place was located inside of the HMarket ?. I’m still loooo mi Ong for a replacement to New Garden Jajamien noodles. This was a good start. A small storefront with a few other eateries sharing large tables. Noodles were thick and chewy and the sauce was meaty. I needed a little soy sauce and pepper to punch up the sauce but I love the shredded cucumbers on top. Good start on my journey for good jajiang noodles. The HMart is Asian market paradise with every food, snack , produce you can imagine.“
“Hands down one of the best egg custard in Arcadia (626) area. They have the original and Portuguese style egg custards. Can't go wrong with either. I prefer the Portuguese custard. It has a little more depth. The custard is slightly creamier, and the crust has a flakiness to it.“
“I got a tomato based pot and really enjoyed how customizable the hotpot is. Despite the name, my friends and I all didn't feel like our hotpots were particularly spicy (the spice is diy via the sauce station). Fresh veggies, good variety, decent price for value. If you are on an allium free diet, their tomato broth does not have onion / garlic which is a plus!“
“Thought it would just be a quick bite of Shanghai Pork Ribs Glutinous Rice Cakes, but flipping through the menu felt like a trip back to Shanghai—each dish a deep-rooted memory!Even so, we went all out and ordered a bunch of dishes. Each one was authentically Shanghai, and I especially recommend the Wine Chicken. Honestly, wanted to try everything on the menu. The Pork Ribs Glutinous Rice Cakes, originally the main attraction, took a back seat. Auntie even brought spicy soy sauce and hot chili powder from Shanghai—selling the sauce for $6 a bottle. The chili powder isn't for sale, but she'll give it to you. Added a new item to the wishlist: Conquer their entire menu!“
“WHAT I GOT: - Signature Beef Noodle Soup with Knife Cut Noodles ($14.50) - 7/10- Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Triangle Noodles ($15.50) - 7/10- Beef Roll ($11.80) - 6/10 I really like that you can pick the type of noodles and the texture of the noodles are great! The signature beef noodle isn't quite like traditional beef noodle soups I've had but it's pretty hearty which I like. There's a lot more green onions and cilantro. Spicy beef noodle soup has a little bit of a kick but good flavor! Service was attentive even though they were closing soon.LOCATION:- Inside Santa Anita mall next to Din Tai Fung. It's kind of like open air seating with a good amount of tables that could comfortably fit 2-4 people. PARKING: - Santa Anita mall parking so usually isn't an issue - can park near Nordstrom if you don't want to walk too far. WAIT: - No wait for a table for 3 on a Tuesday around 8 pm. The food also came out pretty fast.“
“Wow! Just happened to stop in with my family. We loved it! Cucumber salad was my first bite and the best I had in years. Eating Asian food daily it's hard to find a new spot and we wish we lived closer because we would come weekly. We also had dumplings, noodle soup and the meat was so tender and falls apart. When we come to southern CA my family and I will definitely make sure we stop here again. Such a great find! Highly recommend!!“
“The pork knuckle is super big! Great value! The glutinous rice is delicious! You can’t go wrong with braised chicken if you don’t know what to eat! I like passion fruit for the set drink. Although it is included in the set meal, I can’t handle it at all.“
“Food court mostly comprised of Asian food (Chinese, Korean, Malaysian, etc). Good spot to check out of you're craving Asian food but can't make up your mind on what type of Asian food. The food is pretty traditional, and seasoning is good. Kinda gives me home cooking vibes.“
“I am a picky person when it comes to eating out. When my sister said a noodle house I wasn’t sure about it. But I decided to really try it. Well it was great I would recommend this place and go back again. Quiet little place in Arcadia. Very clean. Very helpful servers and reasonably priced.Parking: Behind restaurant plenty of free parking.“
