“My fiancé (he's Indian) and I have lived in LA for over two years now and we had yet to find any good Indian places that were to our satisfaction, until now! We're so happy that Amaravathi Express is here! The flavors are on point and well balanced and the service is impeccable. We've already been back twice and already looking forward to our next trip back, which is an hour drive and still totally worth it for quality Indian food.“
“Vegetarian friendly menu. We usually order the saag paneer, mushroom masala, yellow daal, naan and the fries rice. Portions are good size and everything is seasoned well. We took my sister in law and her husband and they said best Indian food they've had!“
“I don't have photos , but this place is awesome expeince. The place offers regular pizza and also Middle Eastern India flare so many different options to the expeince..I can tell the have a lot of passion for thier work..My hat is off to them good service fresh good toppings and varieties..I'll be back one day..Thanks So Much for the great pizza experince..Chicago Pizza Rocks..???“
“Came for the pani puri and dosa and they are both very good. It's my first time trying pani puri and definitely won't be my last. The fried bread is crunchy and it's the perfect vehicle to deliver the chickpea, potato, tamarind chutney filling. We got the dosa with cheese, tomato, and onion. The outside had a nice crisp, followed by the nice savory filling. One order comes with 2 good size dosa.Last thing we had are the potato samosa, which was a little too dense for my liking.“
“We visited this place while shopping in the area and were pleased by the food they serve here. I have not found any other place that serves kulcha like this place. Other dishes are equally good to have. We have visited twice so far and have not been disappointed. The food is made to order, with generous filling in their paratha and kulcha. I would recommend to go eat at this place if you are start remembering the 'paraunthe' you get in Punjab.“
“Super friendly service, and best dosas in SoCal. We drive from Redlands, CA to get them! I was hesitant at first because of the reviews but I’m so happy we came and my bf introduced me to this place. I despise lamb, but this place hit it out of the ball park with their delicious lamb dosa! Thank you for expanding my tastebuds. I’d post a picture but we ate it so fast ?Vegetarian options: We love the spicy vegetarian dosaParking: Several parking spots available though very tight“
“A friend from Bakersfield recently took over the restaurant as a co-owner and is changing the name to the Curry Lounge. I drove down from Bakersfield for my first visit along with wife and two young adult sons, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I may be no connoisseur of Indian food, but I can honestly say that it was the best Indian meal I have ever eaten, and I’ve eaten at several Indian restaurants over the years. Everything we had was addictingly tasty! We also celebrated my younger son’s 20th birthday with a cake that we bought at a nearby bakery. After singing happy birthday, some guys at another table joined in celebration by chanting “Drink a beer, drink a beer … one more year!”“
“Woo hoo! Now THIS place is truly and utterly "ah-mazing". The India Restaurant is not only drop dead gorgeous, but the service is 5-Star all the way! The India truly comprises the best of everything, the food, the decor and the top-notch service. Now I have to say I am not an Indian food expert, but everything and I mean everything I tasted, was delicious. The staff seemed to anticipate our every need. Indeed, my 5 year old granddaughter said she was thirsty even before we sat down and one of the staff must have heard her and immediately brought her her own cup (with lid and straw!) of water without even being asked! Impressive. The Nan bread was exceptional and all the different dishes we had, from butter chicken to chicken Tiki Masala and several others, were perfection itself. I wish I would have gotten the names of the staff so I could commend them individually, but it was a busy family table, so...suffice it to say they were ALL marvelous, professional but kind. I am sooo going back! Butter chicken here I come! ☆☆☆☆☆+Vegetarian options: Not a vegetarian, however I sampled several vegetarian dishes my daughter in law had ordered and they were DELICIOUS! I may just have to go a little vegetarian next time! Lol!Kid-friendliness: The staff treated my 5 year old granddaughter and 19 month grandson with kindness and respect, indeed they anticipated their needs immediately and brought both of them their own water cups with lid and straw, without being asked!“
“Loved the biryani!! Thai tea was good, they forgot to add cream\milk in the Thai tea but then we spoke to them and they fixed it. The Malai Chicken tandoori was the one of the best Indian dishes I have ever had. The chicken 65 and the shrimp tandoori was delicious too. Overall it was a good meal.“
“The food was great, could eat it for days and I would not get tired. Especially the garlic spicy nan bread, best thing I've ever put in my mouth! Could've cried because of how good it was! The service was great, they were so kind and helpful! 10/10 would recommend, it hit's the spot!“
“This place has been really good for vegetarian thali. You get unlimited food as much as you can eat. The service has been excellent as well.Parking: Limited parking space in the parking garage. Plenty of city parking behind the building with 1st hour free and reasonable city charges from 2nd hour onwards.“
“First time ever having Thali and I gotta say there wasn't one dish I didn't enjoy! Service is great and the Mango Lassi was among the best I've had.Private parking lot with plenty of space makes it easy to access. I'd def come back.“
“"A Heavenly South Indian Feast at Udupi Palace!"**Review:**After a long drive through the bustling streets of Los Angeles, my weary taste buds found solace and delight at Udupi Palace. This gem of a restaurant is a haven for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. The ambiance of Udupi Palace is inviting and warm, making it a perfect retreat. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and were incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with expert recommendations. The standout for me was their dosa, a masterpiece of crispiness filled with a perfectly spiced potato mixture and you cant miss thali. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, transporting me to the streets of Southern India. The accompanying sambar and array of chutneys were equally impressive, each adding a unique layer of flavor to the meal. But the real surprise was their Mysore Coffee, the perfect end to our culinary journeyUdupi Palace isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that captivates your senses and leaves you longing for more. Whether you're a lifelong lover of Indian cuisine or a curious first-timer, Udupi Palace is a must-visit spot in Asteria. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining“
“Surati Farsan in Artesia is a lively spot buzzing with customers and takeaway orders, which speaks volumes about its popularity and tasty offerings. While it may not be fancy, it's the kind of place where you feel right at home, enjoying good company and even better Indian food.Starting with their drinks, the mango lassi hits the spot with its creamy texture and tropical flavor, setting the stage for a flavorful meal ahead. As for appetizers, the pan puri is a standout, with each crispy shell filled with a burst of tangy goodness that leaves you craving more. And let's not forget the dahi sev puri, a real crowd-pleaser with its satisfying crunch and creamy toppings. Now, if you're up for a bit of spice, the spicy tacos are a must-try. They're not kidding about the heat, but trust me, it's worth it for the explosion of flavors. And to round off your feast, the chole samosa is a crispy, flavorful delight that perfectly encapsulates the essence of Indian street food. All in all, Surati Farsan offers a cozy atmosphere and consistently delicious food that's sure to leave you feeling satisfied and already planning your next visit.Don’t come here expecting 5 star service! It’s a fast food place so come eat and leave.“
“Excellent veggie samosas, Habshi halwa was amazing and the chai was good. Most Indian sweet shops add way too much sugar to their desserts but I’m happy to report that the Habshi had just the right degree of sweetness. Unfortunately, like much of Artesia, I did not feel entirely comfortable with the cleanliness of the entrance and seating area.“
“Food was great. It's one of the rare places I have found that offers a cheese and onion pasty on the menu. The pasty was top notch and highly recommended for anyone looking to try something new. It's a classic British item. Had the pasty with a side of sautéed mushrooms with garlic. Only downside is that this place is only open for about 4 hours on Monday thru Thursday. I saw a few items that were indicative that this is a pub for Liverpool F.C. supporters, but unfortunately, this pub does not open early for English Premier League matches. Nevertheless, I decided not to downgrade my rating since the Cheese & Onion Pasty made the trip worth it.“
“Had amazing Mysore bonda with authentic peanut chutney.. hope this place maintains the taste and quality over time. It's an added gem to artesia! The pani Puri served on a bandi is very yummy as well.. overall very satisfied and will be returning“
“It is easy to miss this place driving by as it is small and located next to Udupi, a well known South Indian restaurant chain. Parking can be challenging on a busy afternoon but that is the case with most restaurants on Pioneer. The place itself is relatively new but the food is amongst the best I have had in the United States. We came in hungry and was greeted by the friendly owner who took our order and explained the menu items to us. We ordered the papdi chaat and the Maharaja Thali, both of which were delicious and bursting with contrasting flavors. We really enjoyed the three types of roti, baatis, daal and the spicy red chutney. Each bite tasted distinct and you could taste the quality of homemade Rajastani food. Sampling different items on the Thali was an experience in and of itself.I don't understand what some of these poorly written, negative reviews are about. As someone who likes to dine out, the prices are more than fair and the portions are filling. Maybe the service was a bit slow during peak hours but those are things that can be easily fixed. I am not a vegetarian but I loved their food. Maybe other restaurants in the area need to do some quality control instead of serving stale food, delivering poor & inconsistent service and expecting that the customers will somehow keep returning. Leaving fake reviews on a family-owned restaurant trying to drive them out of business is really trashy and makes you look petty more than anything else.Vegetarian options: All items on the menu are vegetarian and made with plant-based ingredients. May contain dairy and nuts for those with allergies.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegetarian, plant-based, gluten-free options.Parking: Depends on the day. Weekends are busiest.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, wheelchair accessible“
