“I'm always nervous to try new Thai food due to my severe seafood and shellfish allergy. However, my first experience here, the staff was very accommodating and walked me through the menu to find something that worked for me. They really went the extra mile and the food hit the spot! Thanks so much! I ordered the chicken pad see ew :)“
“It was so delicious i always crave the boat noodles and thai spaghetti .The boat noodles you're able to request how spicy it comes with a dark broth Chinese broccoli the option of big or small noodles two meat balls sliced beef stewed beef, liver and tripe . The spicy spaghetti has the delicious tomatoe jam and crispy fried Thai basil on top i couldn't wait to dig in“
“Phenomenal Food !I love thai food & this is an actual really good place ♡Order the Kaho Soi Noodle Soup 10/10 !!!Never had tried this place & I am so glad I got to try it !Cost 16.95Drink Thai Ice Tea 10/10Cost 5.50All the Thai flavors were there ! Coming back for sure !“
“This place is so cute! It reminds me of a hipster joint you would find in LA or Tokyo. They play funky music and offer happy hour everyday 8pm to close and you get $2 off munchies (their version of appetizers or small plates) and $1 off drinks. The food can be pretty spicy. For example, the drunken noodles were like a 7/10 on spice level. The boat noodle soup was loaded with robust flavor. The fried chicken wings appetizer was moist with a sweet and tangy sauce. They offer a variety of drinks from Thai tea to fresh coconut as well as unique desserts! I've been to Thailand and some of the best Thai restaurants in LA and OC and this place ranks among them for their creativity and uniqueness. The service is good and everything came out in good time. Another plus is that they provided eco-friendly to go packaging AND their water is fresh and clean! Didn't taste like tap water! I'd come back to try their other foods but make sure that the spice is not as intense.“
“As their place is on the smaller size, we opted to do carry out since we were going for a saturday dinner. It wasn't a long wait and we reheated in the oven as soon as we got home. We got both Thai Curry and Tom Yum and both were SO good. Would totally come back for this again!“
“My go-to spot for Lao / Thai food in the L.B.C. I stopped in today & got soup because it was cold and rainy. Soooo good! I usually get the green papaya salad & / or pad see ewe but the soup hit the spot & was exactly what I needed. The owners are so kind. It really feels homey here. Down to earth service with delicious food & a comfy atmosphere. I came all the from the San Gabriel Valley because I knew it would not disappoint. The vibe here is so good & genuine. Sending blessings to these owners. The food & service brought sunshine to a gloomy day.“
“Hands down, best spot in Long Beach for Lao food. Me and my family frequently order delivery or will make the drive down to Signal Hill. It’s located in an unassuming plaza that also has an amazing sushi spot. My favorite dishes on repeat:Boat Noodle (I can’t order this anywhere else because I need the sour sauce that comes with this dish to cut the blood. Yes, the dark soup is made from blood!)Crispy PorkLao SausageTom Yum SoupKhao PiakFried Chicken WingsSom Tum (lao style papaya salad with the dark and fishy sauce - the only way I like it)Honestly, everything is authentic and delicious! It’s a simple spot. You order first and then take a seat. Your food will come out fast and hot. Don’t expect a waitress to take your order here.“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“I tried this little place with my friend a couple of weeks ago. It’s in a very eclectic neighborhood in Long Beach with lots of dining options nearby, and was glad we chose to eat here. I had the Pad Thai and my friend had yellow curry with rice. We both enjoyed our meals and got a good portion for a (very) reasonable price. The service was also very friendly and the restaurant had a very chill cafe/sit down restaurant fusion vibe going on that was really welcoming. I would go here again.“
“Very impressed with this spot, server was great, food was amazing, you're greeted by the kitchen when you walk in. Food came out at a nice speed and hot sake was nice on a rainy day.Vegetarian options: Most items can be made without meatParking: Roughly 30 parking a spots. Also street parking availableWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramp“
“Hadn’t been here in years. Have no idea why I’ve deprived myself of such great food!! Can’t beat the sunrise roll. Albacore sashimi was fresh and buttery. Staff was friendly and quick to seat and serve us. Love the art on the wall. Even background music was enjoyable. Great place for date night. Def adding back to our date night list!“
“I really enjoyed eating at Real Thai. The employees were welcoming and I felt like I was eating at home. The food was also amazing; I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Medium spice and it was very good. Definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“I've been a bit under the weather and I needed some spicy soup to help me get better. Sophy's is one of my favorites and it hit the spot. Ordered more food so hubby could be fed. He was very happy with his choices. The food was so delicious, timing was great, and service was wonderful as always. I've been going to Sophy's since they were originally located on Anaheim. Also, potions are generous, we have enough for at least 4 more meals.“
“Solid Thai spot in Cypress! The food was very good and their chili powder is super spicy. If you get the lunch special, it is $2 cheaper and comes with ice cream and salad, but the portion is slightly smaller. The pad see ew was very flavorful, and even though tofu isn't on the menu it is an option for protein.“
“Food: 5/5 highly recommend, their combo is very good. Great portion and price. They also have lunch menu, which comes with a side of your choosing. Service: 5/5 very welcoming. Ambiance: 5/5 they have a couple tables for dine in. But, most of the time people would order takeout or call in for a pick up.“
“I've been here a few times, and in these times, I've had the lunch special. It was price well. It comes with a drink of your choice, which I had Thai Ice Tea. It also comes with a salad and 2 dumplings. I would recommend this place.“
“Best Thai food anywhere nearby, bar none! Owner and his wife serve you personally, make recommendations and cook some of the best food I've ever had. Standard dishes like pad Thai or fried rice with crispy pork or spicy green beans and beef, are made to perfection. They will accommodate allergies ( my wife is allergic to nuts) or whatever level of spice you are comfortable with. You need to try this food“
“Great place for Thai food if you are in the area. They make flavorful and savory options with mix spice levels as requested. Staff is super friendly and clean restroom. Limited parking spots closeby in the complex.Vegetarian options: You can always substitute meat for veggies and or tofu.“
“For some odd reason every time I’m in Long Beach, I tend to search for a Cambodian spot. 1. Its very uncommon anywhere else in L.A 2. Always down to try new food from different cultures! Cambodian cuisine offers a melting pot of Thai, Lao, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian spices clearly, through the agricultural and spice trade. This is probably the fourth Cambodian restaurant I’ve visited in Long Beach. The vibe and décor are very cultural and cute. It’s a small restaurant with 3 booths, 8 top in the middle and 12 top on the other side. The service was very friendly, the walk to the restroom was interesting because I got to see the kitchen which was filled with aunties and uncles, seemed like a family business for sure!Come during lunch because the specials are worth it!Ordered#17 Khmer BBQ Pork with rice 5/5 – BBQ had a nice glaze to it, paired well with pickled veggies and spicy sauce#24 Mint Leaf Chicken with rice 5/5 – Similar to Thai basil chicken but instead they used mint and even topped it with an egg!#27 Student Noodle 5/5 -Enjoyed how these were served with thin noodles, the flavor was delish (similar to pad thai)The parking lot is small, I was lucky to have found a spot! Give them a try!“
“It's been a few years since we'd been here...why??!!! It was so great. Both the panang curry and yellow chicken curry are so flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Beautiful presentation as well! Kind customer service. Will be back soon!“
“This place is sort of hidden unless you're cruising and looking around or stopping by the nails salon next door. Parking space is good, from parking lot to street parking since they are located at the corner PCH and Sherman Pl. This place has been around quite sometimes, and this is one of my top choices for noodles. Their interior is very cultural, like from table cloths to ornaments. Love the dark theme. Feels elegant and vibing-like with good choice in music. Besides interior or decoration, let's dive right into the good stuff. My orders are as follows, Dinner:1. Thai NoodlesBeef stew, beef tripe, tendon, beef ball, beef insides, shrimps, watercress, bean sprout, green onion, cilantro, and roasted garlic.2. Beef Stew Noodles(Chef Special Order)Sliced beef, beef tripe, beef ball, bean sprout, green onion, cilantro, and roasted garlic.3. XO Fried Rice(Shrimps and Beef)Special XO sauce, eggs, green onion, jalapeno, tomato, and cucumber.4. Me Ka Taing(Beef and Shrimps)Big rice noodles, eggs, straw mushrooms, and carrot. Was able to get a taste of everything. The broth was delicious, and the temperature was nice and hot, with good quality and amount of meats and vegetables served. Additional spices or sauce are provided and present at the table. Our server, Kim, and her team were very polite and courteous. Excellent on the timely checking to see if we were alright. Hospitality is superb the second you enter the restaurant. Overall experience was fantastic. Definitely recommend to friends and families. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience.P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!“
“Happened to be in the neighborhood, so thought we'd give it a try.We ordered green curry, pad krapow and grilled beef "crying tiger."Green curry was good. Pad krapow was the best. It has just the right punch to it; very flavorful. Sadly the grilled beef was chewy and overcooked. It was so overcooked that it tasted more like beef jerky. A big disappointment. We will come back for the pad krapow and will try some other dishes.“
“Great dining experience! The restaurant is so well designed and trendy. The food was fresh, delicious, and truly memorable! Service was very quick and our waitress was so kind and accommodating. We had a delicious dinner and even our doggy enjoyed his time here. Will surely be back!“
“This place stands up to all the hype. Just some of the best Laotian + Thai food, all the flavors are peak umami. Try the fried fish dishes, the Tom ka gai (just the right amount of sweetness), and the amazingly fresh and perfectly seasoned morning glory if they have it (you might have to go earlier in the day, we only got some on our second visit). The laab is also perfection. Go go!“
“Absolutely excellent food. I ordered the TD Brussel sprouts and the soft shell crab curry. Brussel sprouts are ever bit as delicious as others here have noted. The curry was superb - Probably the best I’ve ever had. The crab was tempura fried, which wasn’t what I was expecting but it stood on its own. Will definitely be back.“
“What a lovely quaint Thai restaurant I stumbled upon. I was in the area for a delivery and stopped in to have some lunch. It was very peaceful in there, the staff were friendly. I ordered the glass noodle soup and it was very flavorful, not to mention only $8! They also give you a generous amount of chicken in the soup which is always a plus. Overall great experience.“
“Our family of four came here while on v Our family of four went here for dinner as it was within walking distance of our hotel that we were staying at to go to Disneyland. We ordered the family meal named "La Tablita" as it had pork, steak and chicken with tortillas, veggies, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. My 11 year old daughter really enjoyed making a soft taco with steak and so did my 7 year old son. My wife had a pork taco and a steak and enjoyed them both and ate some chicken without a taco. My wife said the steak was the best. I had a taco with all three meats and enjoyed them all. I thought the chicken tasted the best. We all really enjoyed the food but we went at 7 pm and it was super busy and the service was a little slow. The restaurant had a very casual feel and we only got chips and salsa when we asked for it. The salsa was a little too heavy on tomatoes but still tasted good. If we were in the area again, we would definitely come here again. acation and we wanted to see if a highly rated Cambodian restaurant could come close to my wife and her mom's cooking at home. We decided to order three dishes and share them between the four of us. My 7 year old son and I really enjoy Asian noodles so I ordered the Beef Pad See-Ew. This dish was brought out first and all four of us really enjoyed them. Even my 11 year old daughter enjoyed the noodles although she doesn't care for them at home. They had a nice Cambodian assortment of vegetables in them and really hit the spot. The second dish we ordered was Beef sticks as we all enjoy them. These were good to all of us but were a little sweeter than we expected. We did notice how all the beef on the stick was so neatly and evenly placed which is hard to do for us. It would be awesome to know how that is done but we didn't ask. One of my daughter's favorite Cambodian meals is Beef and Prahok so of course, we ordered BBQ beef with Prahok. The Prahok sauce came out looking different than what we make at home. My daughter spread it over her rice and did not like it due to a lack of spice. When we asked for peppers and added them to the sauce, the food got better but we all agreed we like what we make at home better. Overall, the meal was good but if we were in the area, we would give another Cambodian restaurant a shot.“
“I can't believe that I had never heard of this spot before and can thank Reddit for this amazing find! How often can you find something for under $10 nowadays. While it is cash only, there are so many options available that it totally makes up for it. I came in on a Saturday around 2pm so there wasn't a ton of assortment left (out of eggplant) so I picked the chicken larb, green curry and pork ribs. All of the food was solid and I loved that you can eat different Thai dishes versus when you normally order takeout, you kind of committed to one dish. I loved the portion and the flavors of all the dishes. There are so many grand and go options available too. I will definitely be back again to try other dishes!“
“I will definitely be returning, with the simple fact that they place 3 hot sauce/pepper options on your table I'm sold. I got a fresh young coconut water that was to perfection. Don't leave without ordering Sticky Mango rice for dessert. All the food I tried was great. Prices are fair and staff if nice.“
“The food was great! I had vegetables with tofu and a side of rice. The food came out quick and very hot. The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was calm despite several other customers, which I enjoyed. Thanks for a great experience!“
“My friends and I have been there a few times. It was worth driving for an hour to have delicious food with excellent services. I couldn't eat spicy food, and they were happy to make me a new dish. Thank you for taking care of us in good manners.“
“Some of my favorite yellow curry and pad thai around! I always get the peanut sauce to add to my noodles. They always remember to fry the tofu when I put it in the description. I usually doordash but I walked in the other day and it was so nice inside! My only wish would be to have a little more rice come with the curry.“
“Hey Foodies ❤️ if you're looking for a place where Thai meets seafood in a bag, Nine Seafood Restaurant is where it's at. Best time to go before things really get jumping on a Saturday is about 4/4:30pm. After that you will blink and see half the place start to fill up. When I came in I was greeted, and ask to hang out for my table to be prepped. Just a few minutes and away we go. The customer service by far is a 10 double ++ for those of you who are not used to being tended too, asking if you need anything during your time at an eating establishment you are in for a treat. The host, server, etc were very sweet and sincere. To the food.....I'm sorry my tastebuds just had a flashback. Where do I start? The flavors were bold and complimented one another something fierce, I had a Brazilian Carnival going on in my mouth. We started with the Edamames with a cajun seasoning. I was stuck here a while, even when our food came i was still going through them. Next was the curry. The yellow curry was rich, smooth with chunky potato and big juicy shrimps. I poured this delectable treat over my seafood fried rice which sent me to another dimension of tastebud euphoria. The class, mussels, shrimp, crab was just mmmmm mmm. Finally we had the Pad See Ew Combo with flat noodles, Broccoli and egg yummy. I mixed this in with the yellow curry, can somebody give me a ride home because I feel a food coma coming. Absolutely loved every dish presented, this hidden gem is a golden nugget. I wish them much success, blessings and favor to the employees and management of this establishment in Jesus name for your work shall not be in vain. May your fruits continue to bear in and out of season.“
“A friend recommended this place. Everything was very fresh. I appreciated the cream cheese wontons and papaya salad. The pad Thai was good but a little too sweet for my liking. The panang curry was good but needed more vegetables. The Thai iced tea was good as well. Overall a good place for Thai food and worth a try if you are local.“
“This is my first time here in person (usually I order on uber eats which delivery is free ?) and let me tell anyone who reads this the flavor this food has in amazing. Good portions and a reasonable price! And to top it off the owner Jack is such a sweet caring attentive person. He's the reason I will be returning in person just to enjoy a delicious friendly meal. Thank you everyone for the hard work ?“
“The atmosphere is mature, relaxed and familiar almost like you were relaxing at home or at a grandmothers house before a holiday dinner or summer lunch. It's pleasant to say the least. And it's not pretending to be something it isn't. It is comfortable in its own skin. And the food is a fresh reminder that all who wonder aren't lost, that different is needed and in many ways the progression and change we need in life ? my recommendations would honestly be anything on the menu but my "gotos" are any variety of "Pad see Ew" and "Pad Thai" the yellow curry as well every time I order these three without question.“
“OMG??? EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD??? Okay let me go in order. The Thai tea.. was the best Thai tea I've had in so long, and for the portion the price was just right in my opinion just as the other meals, PLENTY FOOD FOR SUCH REASONABLE PRICES IS CRAZY THESE DAYS. I got the kimchi tom yum, and omg. See I'm not s big soup person unless it's pho, and this tom up was so good you guys. SO GOOD. It was the right amount of spicy and sour and the kimchi tasted so fresh. We also got the cucumber salad, and this was new to me because I usually get cucumber salad at restaurants but the style, presentation, and taste was completely new. I liked it I definitely did enjoy it, it's my second favorite kind of cucumber salad right now. I also got the cream cheese wontons, the crispyness of the wonton itself was decent and the cheese was so smooth I enjoyed it AND IT WASNT ONLY 4 PEICES GUYS THIS IS IMPORTANT IT WAS LIKE 8 FOR AROUND 8 BUCKS??? WOW. My boyfriend got the pineapple fried rice, I'm not s big fan or fried rice or anything but he really liked it and it was a big portion and he almost finished all of it. I ASKED FOR BOXES FOR EVERYTHING BECAUSE GOOD FOOD LIKE THAT SHOULDNT BE LEFT BEHIND. The atmosphere was super calm and I really enjoyed myself please this place deserves an award.“
“Came here today with my husband. He LOVE the chicken massaman curry! and mine was Beef Thai Boat Noodles, recommend to try if you like flavorful taste (they will give you the things to adjust your flavor as you like but the base is also good). Service was lovely!“
“Love Thai and the drunken noodles are my favorite specially spicy with shrimpAnd #4 season wow I drove from lemoore that’s 4 hours away this place is worthy of it and it has a tv where u can watch family feud and eat at the same timeWheelchair accessibility: It has handicap parking and wheelchair accessible I’m disabled I have a prosthetic leg and the walk from parking to front door is not far at all“
“My friends and I love this place! Vietnamese home-style cooking. Sooo comforting—the flavors hit the spot and remind us of home and of our childhood. My go-to here are the fish, ong choy salad with beef, the pea sprouts, and the fish in like a lemongrass sauté. They have a Japanese purple root soup which is not widely available even in Bolsa. We always feast when we come here.“
“The food is delicious with a great presentation. Anything you get from the menu is full of flavor and great tasting. They have different drink options to choose from all great as well. The staff is friendly and is always available for whatever you need. The decor is beautiful and is calming.Great vibe to have breakfast, brunch.“
“Whether we order takeout or dine-in Hanako's been consistently yummy! Thai food + sushi ... makes it nice to not have to go to two separate restaurants Their pad thai & drunken noodle are solid. I also like their spicy tuna crispy rice & salmon w mango roll. They have an awesome happy hour menu that runs til 7pm - so it's nice to visit before then. Good to support a family business!“
“This is a small local Thai restaurant that serves delicious food. We typically order take out or delivery from here, but I came here over the weekend to sit inside for dinner and the service was great. I got their chicken satay with peanut sauce, egg rolls w/ chicken and chicken pad thai. All of their items were delicious. My dad ordered the pad thai with shrimp. Prices are very reasonable as well. 2 meals + 2 appetizers was $50 + tip. Mind you, my dad and I could not finish our pad thai and took boxes to go. Portions are big!“
“Exceptional, customer, service, with authentic outstanding food. If I can give 10 stars, I would. If your looking for Thai food, I highly recommend this spot. If your dish isn't up to par, they will make it right customer service at its finest, how it should be. I will be coming back next time I crave Thai food. Thank you for a wonderful experience.“
“The food and service was great. Our waiter recommended the sole in pepper sauce and it was amazing. We also had the crab fried rice, money bags, and wonton. We ate the entrées so fast that I forgot to take a pic! Lol. The entrées are shareable in size, so u get a good amount for what u pay for. Oh... and my drink (lychee Paloma) was BOMB! I will definitely be back!“
“Had dinner with family and friends in this restaurant and loved it. The food was delicious, fresh and affordable. The service was great! Drinks and food did not take too long. The atmosphere and ambience were perfect for our gathering. The place was clean and in a good location. I had the chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.“
“Haiku: Thai Addict Cuisine Bold, spicy flavors I come for the lunch specials Affordable meals. --- I love Thai food and lunch specials (Mon-Fri, 11a-3p), so I naturally gravitated to this restaurant. Lunch special items start at $12.95 (depending on what protein you choose) and come with salad and egg roll. I ordered the Pumpkin Curry and it was a generous portion. I liked how soft and creamy the pumpkin was and the crunch from the bell peppers. I felt the curry was on the sweet side, maybe a bit too sweet. I also ordered the Pad Thai and that was too sweet as well. Just note the dishes are made Medium Spicy, but you can adjust the spice level. I ordered a mild and it was the perfect amount of heat. Service was okay. They were nice, but not as attentive. It was getting busy in the restaurant and we had to flag someone down to take our order, grab to-go boxes, and get our bill. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. The inside has a nice, modern aesthetic and is a good place for large groups. I would come back again though and try their other lunch special menu items. Hopefully their other dishes aren't too sweet.“
“I was looking for eggplant or pumpkin curry with a coconut Thai tea and this place was so good! They didn’t have pumpkin curry, but I got the green curry. It was so rich smooth and yummy, I added more Chile to it. I got it veggie and I also got a Thai tea with coconut milk that was so tasty!Vegetarian options: Coconut Thai tea and Veggie curry, eggplant“
“I have eaten here in the past and it's always yum! The owner is super nice and friendly and makes amazing food. I was in a rush and so it didn't quite sink in that he gave me an extra dish with my order thanks!!! If your looking for curry this is the spot!“
“I am trying all the khao soi places in LA and stumbled upon Thailicious while on the SGV eats facebook group. So glad I discovered it because its one of the best khao soi in the LA area. It tasted really authentic just like northern thailand. The prices here are great because you can get a small noodle dish for $7.50 that can fill you up! The servers were really nice and service was fast. Parking is super easy as they have their own parking lot“
