“It's not easy to earn a five star rating from me, but Oishii Teriyaki 2 in Auburn deserves it. The food is consistently and exceptionally fantastic! Great service and a beautiful, relaxing interior round out the experience. My friend and I split an order of beef noodles and the Lion King roll with another I can't recall. If you like high-quality and scrumptious Japanese food, you have to try this place!“
“While the ambiance (or lack thereof) might concern you about the quality, it should not. This has been the best sushi in Auburn for years and still holds that title. Fresh and generous amounts of fish with many options, most of which are great.“
“I've been eating Japanese food since 1978. I usually start with the Bento box.If that's good then I come back to the restaurant. And I try their sushi and sashimi. I have to say that this is hands down in my top five that i've been to over all these years. The sushi and sashimi is as perfect as it gets. The owners and staff are very friendly And treated me to a free ice cream and Saki and sang me Happy Birthday on my birthday.“
“They only offer ToGos. Sashimi dinner combo, scallop carpaccio, soft shell crab, 4 rolls were perfectly placed with care and beautifully presented in each container. All were what we had hoped for and more. I can see why folks drive out of their way to pick up their delicious orders!“
“I hate to say this but we ORIGINALLY went to Auburn for the pizzeria next door but we were on a time crunch and the wait was going to be too long, so we came to Ninja Sushi because it was empty (still wondering why). The food we ordered was GOOD: monster roll, chicken teriyaki roll, vegetable tempura, and spicy edamame. Our waitress was very nice and fast. She only forgot the wife's spicy mayo BUT no biggie. Our only gripe would be with the temperature in there, it was a little on the warm side but to be fair, the weather is just now starting to change. So, all in all, a good little sushi spot. Not the fanciest place BUT good food. Still scratching my head on why it was empty on a Saturday night.“
“Hubby and I wanted to try a new sushi place. So I googled "best sushi place near me". This place popped up. It was pretty good. Small place great for a date night. We ordered 3 different kinds of sushi, galleria, California roll and forgot the 3rd one name but it was really good. We'll have to come bsck and try other kinds.“
“I rarely give a 5 star review, but this place deserves it.Service was prompt and courteous. The server clearly knew the menu well and she made recommendations to us and accommodations for us. We were in a group, but she provided separate tickets. She didn’t hover, but was watchful when we needed refills of their truly delicious green tea and boxes at the end of our meal. There is a wide variety of dishes on the menu. The lunch special is chicken teriyaki. A large serving of grilled chicken comes with white rice, a green salad, and your choice of potstickers or sushi roll. The chicken was grilled and served without sauce. Bottles of teriyaki, soy and sriracha were on the table so we could season our plate as we liked. Everyone was pleased with their choice and there were three clean plates at our table.Though this place is in a small strip mall across from Sierra College, it was very quiet inside. An absolute must for us aging diners! My ticket was $20, which is about in line with lunch specials these days and considering the generosity of the servings. Planning to return to try the fish!“
“Came here to check it out and grab drinks to see that the neighbourhood would be like. Was up here checking out houses . Walked in on sunday around 12:45pm and was greeted right away when we walked it. We were offered menus right away and it all looked so good. They offer American fusion Japanese food. We will have to come back and try the food another day. It's was nice to atmosphere with music in the background but lots of people chatting. This place.“
“Absolutely the best, not only their food but the staff and chef, the interior, everything. I went for my first time and Im hooked, I can't believe I haven't gone here before. I live in Grass Valley but I will make the trip out here every time.“
