I am from the southeast so BBQ is different everywhere you go. This was near the hotel but can be tricky to find or get to because of the traffic on MH Blvd. The place seemed popular and the dining area basic and a bit worn. I wanted the tri tip as it's not something you can get everywhere. The menu said they often run out versus reusing pre smoked meat. I found it hard to believe as both the smoked turkey and tri tip came out cold. The smoked turkey was moist and very good....read full review
Stopped by for dinner and I was pleasantly impressed with the food. I ordered fried pickles which were delicious and it was paired with a creole dip and a ranch dip. For dinner I had a pulled pork plate and added a spare rib, had a side of potato salad and baked beans which the beans were really flavorful which is a plus. And my waitress gave great customer service as well. Only missed opportunity was the cornbread but with that I give this establishment a solid 4.5

Initially this place was great. Food was good, great sides and service. However, the last couple of months, it seems the management thinks bbq without baked beans is the way to go. Also the had great fried pickles and even better cheese curds that are also not on the menu anymore. Don't go as often anymore as these changesAre not good decisions for me. Only positive is Mattie.
