This is the third Indian restaurant I have eaten at that is located inside of a gas station. That makes it a little bewildering at first. You walk in and you see mostly the regular chips, soda etc., and you're thinking here? ? ? There is an area with fairly nice tables but if I lived in Bakersfield I would probably get it to go, because, gas station. I got biryani which was excellent! This is a very flavorful dish, that isn't hot or spicy. The spices tasted fresh and savory. If you are new to this cuisine and you haven't tried anything beyond butter chicken I recommend every version of biryani. The portion was very generous.“

We were sure In-n-Out wouldn't be that busy WRONG the drive thru had at least 25 cars patiently waiting for their burger of choice. There was no waiting for me, a parking spot right in front was open. I was through the doors in a flash. I entered with a smile these stores are so well run all the workers were busy as usual. Almost all the patrons had smiles sitting side by side, some were standing visiting no politics no world issues. When their number was called their smiles were even bigger. Annika who took my order was cheerful very friendly. My number was 73 they were serving 59 my wait went by fast watching people come and pick up their orders never saw a frown. This Rosedale store is bright clean and fun. I headed out the doors and the line of cars was gone the two team members who had been taking orders we're headed in with smiles . Our double doubles we're delicious onions and lettuce were crisp our fry's were hot with a light touch of salt Bentley finished his doggie burger patty before we finished ours. “The wait was not long. They were fast and efficient. The pizza was vegan and it was good quality for the price. They offered the change gloves several times. That was very good to make that offer ?. It didn't matter that much to me. The downside is that because of the layout for preparation there is a lot of cross contamination. So if you are highly allergic this might not be your place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was comfortable so I'll likely be back.“

I was there on Sunday and was met with enthusiasm unknown to man by a gentleman wearing a scarf, I think he said his name was Moe. “I've never dined in, I always do drive-thru, but I can say - as not a big chicken fan, esp fried.. - It's so good. It's tasty, it doesn't feel overly heavy or greasy, the crinkle fries are always great, the toast is perfectly grilled, and Cane's sauce is so delicious i had to figure out the recipe myself because I never thought I'd steer from ranch, but it won! I always get the 3 fingers combo and sub the coleslaw for extra fries and I order a few extra cane sauce, a half unsweet tea half lemonade to drink and it always is so satisfying!“
“Rode my bike almost 25 min one way to get the burrito with the bacon wrapped hotdog inside with a side of a fried cinnamon ice cream cheesecake burrito; and let me tell you this. 100 percent worth it. “Bomb guys! It's crazy that I literally used to live around the corner and I never visited. I started visiting years ago and I feel like I've missed out all these years. If you know me, I love me some freebies so one year I looked up all the places I could get goodies for my birthday and Jersey Mike's was one of them. I tried it for the first time one year on my birthday because when you sign up to their rewards program online then on your birthday you get a sub. Anytime I have visited it has always been to go and the service is always fantastic. I always order on the app and my order is always ready when I get there. I've been there when they were super busy and ordering on the app/online will save you tons of time because they'll place your sandwich on the pickup shelf. I am not the biggest fan of sandwiches, so if I'm raving about a sandwich place then in my opinion it is high quality sandwich... again that is only my very own opinion. The place is always clean, you always see the staff wearing gloves when handling food and the veggies look fresh. Staff is always pretty friendly and they are probably on rotation when I'm craving for a sandwich with 2 other sandwich places that I hold at a high regard. “This taco truck tucked away next to the IN-N-Out on Panama was recommended by some colleagues, and it did not disappoint. I knew it would be good when I saw how long the line was at 10:00 PM on a cold weeknight. Their menu is surprisingly large for a taco truck and even more impressive considering the main draw is the freshly made tortillas. This definitely adds to the wait time, as I waited about 20 minutes before getting my food. But as expected, the homemade tortillas made a huge difference in texture and consistency. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a single chorizo taco. I ate the taco first and wasn't happy with the size: I finished it in not even two bites. But was it tasty? Certainly. The meat was well-seasoned and cooked just right. And the freshness of the cilantro and onions were spot on. Was it worth $3.50 (or $1.75 per bite)? No. But now I know to just get the burrito which was likely the best taco truck burrito I've had in a long time. The tortilla tied the carne asada and salsa all together harmoniously. And the portion was decent sized. I'm definitely coming back to try their other menu items - but not the microscopic tacos however.“

I can honestly say this is the best pastrami I've tasted since moving to Bakersfield almost 20 years ago. I also ordered a pastrami sandwich for my husband to go (will update after he rates it). I didn't get great pics of the food but here are a couple of what I did take... It's a nice little place on Brundage close to the east side of town (where ALL the good food is)!!! “I use to love this place. They originated in my home town of Ventura and I was so happy to see them out here. When made right the bowls are amazing but the consistency is just not there for DoorDash orders. I've had plates with minimal sauce and I've had plates drenched in sauce to the point it was not edible. They've been great about replacing the plates at a later time but still inconsistency kills me.“

Things from here I also love: -- their large cup of freshly brewed iced tea that comes in a styrofoam cup so it's extra cold on a hot Bakersfield day -- Zucchini fries!!! - If you haven't tried them, you must. The breading is super thin and crispy and the texture is amazing. Comes with a side of ranch! -- 2 for 10 Happy Hour Burger special (after 4pm). I eat one and then eat the other later. -- The corn dogs - So good. So crispy. Not spongey like Wienerschnitzel. Happy Hour after 4pm, you can get 3 for the price of 2. -- The patty melt. Mmmmmmm. -- The chili cheese fries (a large is large) -- Basically all the breakfast The workers are always super nice and friendly. The only feedback I had is I wish they could get their drive thru mic/speaker replaced because the workers can never hear us, so I feel bad for them. I definitely recommend the egg flower soup and the barbecue pork, but pretty much everything is really good for the price.“

I like that they have a lot on the menu, though I haven't tasted everything, we had burgers and the kids had chicken tenders. All around very good. Burgers were a decent size and with fresh ingredients, the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Didn't taste the kids stuff but they didn't leave any leftovers so I assume they like it. I think the only problem for some would be the price, we paid $55 for a family of 4. But everything is expensive for food. Overall a great dinner.“

When I went I had my made to order Turkey and Ham with pepper jack cheese, spinach, lettuce, onions, extra olives, jalapenos, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, and the chipotle southwest sauce. Which makes for a delicious sandwich. I went during their lunch rush which wasn't too bad, I had to wait a few minutes but nothing terrible, the staff was courteous, and did a fine job making my sandwich. Subway has changed the menu completely and has a lot of new sandwich selections and they slice the meat in house now.
