So happy we decided to eat closer instead of going into Bakersfield. We're just passing through, but highly recommend this place for breakfast! The morning regulars add to the small town atmosphere and our waitress was on her game! The bacon was thick and not normal restaurant bacon. Don't come here if you are looking for fancy, trendy or new. This place serves good old fashioned comfort food at reasonable prices. Generous portions. I had the daily special chile verde omelet. Very tasty. Just wish they were open for supper. BTW- I used to come here about 60 years ago when it was called "Rae's". New owners now but still good food. I do miss Rae. She'd have to be over 100 y.o. is still alive.

Nice little place just off the highway 99 south of Bakersfield. Easy off, easy on. Fast, friendly service and a clean place. Good French toast, good eggs, the bacon was a little tough, but tasty. Comfy booths and plenty of parking
