“Fast service, seated quickly on a Friday at lunch. Not too loud despite it filling up. The seared salmon sushi was the excellent and the best of the nigiri we had (raw were just OK). The baked roll that was brought to the table on fire was good too, and definitely worth the show to order.“
“Took the family out to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. My first time, but our kids eat there often. All the food was amazing, and my main dish of barbeque Korean Ribs was the best I've ever had. Sampled several of the sides and different types of sushi and everything was fresh and delicious. The service and hospitality of the staff made us feel like family. Will be going back soon and often.“
“Great food, huge menu, lots to pick from. Every item we ordered was full of deep flavors. We ordered papaya salad, vegetable sushi rolls, green curry and chow mein. Every item was super tasty. I am surprised the restaurant was empty. It is must try place in this town! Highly recommend!“
“Went for my first time with my wife ti celebrate our anniversary, was seated pretty quickly especially for being lunch hour anywhere downtown! The food was amazing, the ingredients were fresh and atmosphere was lively and fun. Our service was a bit slow but that’s to be expected with the lunch rush, I will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone!“
“Went by today and unfortunately my favorite busser wasn’t in they definitely made it feel elegant and comfortable I hadn’t caught the name before hand and was hoping to see them today I believe his name may be ray or other definitely deserves a raise.“
“Without a doubt Miyoshi Sushi is the best Place for Sushi in and around Bakersfield. The venue is not large but in a decent neighborhood. The service is right on point and most of all, the food. These guys have no competition. The fish is fresh and the prep is consistently beautiful for presentation. The only complaint I have is the same complaint that most people have in these times. It is expensive. We're talking Prime Rib expensive if you would like to have enough food in front of you. $18 for a roll, ouch. No Edamame, no miso, nothing. With tip your looking at $25 to leave hungry. This is getting all to common for the sushi restaurants nowadays. I think that the cost of a cup of miso and a Grip of edamame would not break the bank and I know that I would feel better using these inexpensive items to mitigate the price.“
“This place genuinely took me by surprise. The service was excellent and the wings were amazing. Went here last minute and it was the best choice I could’ve made. The ramen was delicious and a little spice, the fries weren’t really for me, but the wings were too tier and were very rich in flavor! Would come again for sure.“
“I went in there yesterday with my 4 month old son to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately my boy was not too happy to be there. He was very upset at one point and everyone there was so understanding. I felt so guilty to have him crying but thankfully all the employees were so nice. I desperately wish I got the woman’s name but a younger waitress (a mom of a 1 year old) came up to me to let me know how great of a mom I was. Words can’t describe how thankful I am for her kindness. I will be recommending this place Kid-friendliness: Read my comment“
“Don’t let the exterior fool you. Yes it’s a tiny restaurant with maybe 10 tables but the sushi is fresh and delicious. They even have hoedeopbap! It’s called spicy sashimi bowl on their menu. Not sure if the ownership is Korean but I was so pleasantly surprised to see it offered. It’s basically a Korean poke bowl or sashimi bibimbap. My boyfriend almost refused to go here because he thought it was takeout only from the name but even he walked out happy we decided on Bento Express for dinner.“
“Had my birthday celebration yesterday with a large group and this is our families go to when celebrating birthdays! Love the koi pond in the front entrance! I ordered the scallop and chicken teppanyaki meal. The chef who cooked for us was very entertaining and promptly gave me a birthday wish. Staff was very attentive and constantly refreshing drinks throughout meal. The fried rice was cooked to perfection with a delicious sesame flavor. The scallops were seasoned perfectly and were buttery soft. The chicken was delicious with the sauce the chef prepared. Best Teppanyaki in town! Bakersfield classic staple!“
“My daughter has celiac disease and Jin Sushi is one of the very few places that carefully prepares gluten-free items. She has never been "glutened" there (they are careful not to cross-contaminate). Further, they have gluten free soy sauce, which many places don't carry, and they don't charge extra for it. Also, their sushi is some of the best I've ever tasted. My grandchildren love their chicken dishes and their sashimi is always fresh and delicious as is their tempura. Our family goes there at least once a month and we've never been disappointed. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the staff has always been friendly, polite and eager to do whatever they can to enhance our visit. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because sushi is quite pricey. If not, we'd probably go every week! Next time we go I'll post some pics of the dishes - everything looks as good as it tastes! Kudos Jin Sushi!“
“My family has been ordering sushi from here for a long time now, and each experience has been a great one. From dining in on a birthday and getting a little light show and music from the staff, to ordering takeout for a birthday and being gifted a complimentary set of cute chopsticks. The staff is skilled, kind, and attentive.“
“Pretty good for a mostly quick chicken/steak and fried rice place. Steak was better than the chicken because it didnt require sauce. Chicken was good but a bit dry and sauce would have helped. Sauces provided was a HARD pass for me (1 Mustard and 1 Ginger) and definitely keeps this from being 5 stars. I come from the land of Fresno, CA with these amazing hot and spicy sauces that I cannot seem to find any other restaurant has tried to emulate at all. Heck I would take just a solid terakyi sauce. But it was still good enough for me to clean my plate, therefore it has to be 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Great spot for date night or a quick lunch. I’ve been to love sushi a few times, and have tried the bentos, ramen and the sashimi. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Super fast service! The owner is very personable, and you can tell they take great care when they make their food. The mexican roll and the spicy baked salmon rolls are my two favorite things to order at the moment. The servers are also all great, and have walked me through the menu when I couldn’t decide what to order. I would highly recommend this place!“
“My wife and I absolutely love this place. Their Yakisoba is amazing and definitely always recommend it. Their rolls are really good too, their fried rice has a lot of flavor, and their green tea ice cream is really creamy and delicious.Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegetarian and she is obsessed with their vegetable Yakisoba.“
“Hi Hushi excellent sushi at the price that is hard to beat in this town. There is only one other place that is cheaper and close to the great deals. However, Hi Sushi wins in the end. The food is just that much better. The staff is very friendly to its customers.Although not the most impressive of the sushi restaurants in Bakersfield, the atmosphere and seating arrangements are organized and clean.“
“The food is always delicious. I like all kinds of sushi and fish so I've tried most of the stuff on the menu. The ramen is delicious too. It's a good price for great food that generally is pretty expensive everywhere else. The staff is always so kind too (they recognize me because I go so often). 100% recommend!!!“
“Great little sushi place with an interesting atmosphere and reasonable prices. They run drink and sushi specials regularly which are actually quite good. Things like buy 3 get a 4th free. They have 2 vegan options that were quite good, nothing special but tasty none the less.Highly recommend if you are in the area. It is just down the road from a golf course and makes a great spot to eat after a round.Vegetarian options: They have a few options but not many.“
“We came close to the end of shift so it was understandable that the servers didn't check in with us as frequently as we'd like. The sushi and beer were great.Dietary restrictions: The server was very understanding of the menu and was able to answer our questions about diet restrictions.“
“I ordered the premium small sashimi, a spicy tuna handroll, 2 large Asahi beers and a bottle of sake ($15), which if you don't finish you can take home. It's like being able to take an unfinished bottle of wine home. The sashimi was very fresh. The premium include premium fish. One was a trout from Norway that resembled salmon. Very tasty. The spicy tuna roll had a nice portion of tuna. The service was top notch. My total bill was $72 without the tip.“
“The food is always great when I come here. The atmosphere and how quickly the waitress gets your order in is awesome. I ordered a Las Vegas roll and an Ex Wife roll with extra spicy mayo and eel sauce. Always a have to get are the Dragonballs !“
“Service was great and consistant. The staff is very friendly and the miso soup is on the house. Portions sizes are great. I recommend the spicy garlic edamame, the Hama Hama and the Summer Breeze Roll. The ginger dressing on their salad is the best I have had. We have been to many sushi restaurants all over and this is by far my favorite after tonight. The prices were great too. We spent only $80 for our family of 5. (Not Including tip.) We will definitely be going back and this will be our goto family dinner night location. Your restaurant should be very proud!“
