“I had no idea this restaurant existed. If I did, I would've come here at least twice a week. This is easily one of the best Mexican places I've been to in a while. So homey, clean and welcoming. It's in a strip mall, so parking is plentiful and easy. It's the restaurant beside the laundromat. This place specializes in birria. So we got their birria pizza and nachos with birria meat. You order everything either from a cashier at the counter or through a kiosk nearby. It's very high tech. The nachos came out within 5 minutes. It tasted fresh and home-made. My son and husband just attacked it with gusto and barely left me any. The tortilla chips were light and didn't taste greasy. The birria meat was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This was the best dish of nachos I've ever had. That's saying something! The birria pizza was so flavorful...it isn't made with pizza dough but with crunchy tortillas that were generously packed with the meat and cheese. I was surprised by the structural integrity - it didn't fall apart even after I dipped it into their consommé (which tasted like a liquid dream) multiple times. I couldn't stop eating because I enjoyed the mouthfeel so much. The owner, Francisco, was kind enough to allow us to sample their churros which were made in-house. They were the most righteous proportions of crunchy and soft. And dipped into their dulce de leche (which is not cloyingly sweet but surprisingly balanced and complemented the churros so well) - we knew we were addicted. All in all, this was such a serendipitous find. We're so lucky we stumbled upon this gem. This must not be gatekept! Go to Fuego Cravings and thank me later!“

Their chirashi bowl is huge with 6 cuts per fish and can serve 2. The fish is good quality and fresh and the tempura bits in the rice adds another layer of texture. One thing to note is that you have to "send" in your order using your phone. Im a oldie and this is annoying. My friend ordered for us. The English menu is not entirely translated correctly. It takes quite a bit of time to get your order. So keep ordering Their flavored soju cocktail is too sweet, barely any soju. They have 2 beers on tap...coors light and a japanese one (i think). I was a little eerrked with the "server" bc she made it sound like ordering 12 lamb skewers between 2 ppl was alot. So we reduced to 10 skewers. We didn't see anyone working so we sat ourselves in a booth and patiently waited for someone to take our order. Ended up ordering the botana la palma and ceviche de pescado. About 5-10 minutes later we were informed there were no more fish for the ceviche, so we decided to go with shrimp instead. The service was a bit slow or non existent. Maybe because the restaurant was hosting a paint&sip on the other side and required the waitress' attention. Nonetheless the food was amazing! Seafood tasted fresh and full of flavor. Where it went a bit wrong was when we got our bill. I typically just double the tax for a 20% tip, but didn't realize until afterwards that 1. The tax was off and 2. We got the wrong bill. The botana la palma was $25 and ceviche i believe was around $19, but was charged $25 for sashimi de atun azul. The tax was only $2.49 so our tip was unfortunately lower than intended (sorry, I was tipsy). My fault for not checking, but I was in a rush. Overall, would definitely come back, but will double check my bill.“

“Wah Sing Dim Sum, on San Gabriel Blvd., is just below Las Tunas Drive. The only time they've disappointed me is when I forget they're closed on Wednesdays. Other than that they make some of the yummiest dim sum around. They make my favorite charsiu.... chasu? chashu?? -- anyway, favorite bbq pork steamed bao here. I don't know what makes them so good. I think there's a hint of ginger in that filling. Their stir-fried noodles, $5.89 under the "Chef's Special" section, are also a steal. Their steamed sausage rolls are good as well. I've only ordered my food to-go. I've only seen diners inside one in a while although admittedly I usually stop in the early afternoon. The ladies behind the counter are no nonsense but sweet; they've thrown a sample my way once or twice. The wait for your food can be more than a few minutes, especially if that item you want isn't fully steamed yet, especially if they're busy, but the extra wait is worth it. They're a dim sum hole-in-the-corner of a strip mall dominated by a Good Fortune Supermarket, which means tons of parking. In fact, every single time I've been there, there's always another customer-- or several customers-- waiting to order, or waiting to receive their order. Speaking of ordering, they have the standard golf pencils (next to a bottle of hand sanitizer) for filling out the order form. There are also laminated menus with photos. They make the best plates and their queso fundido is bomb too. They also give you chips and salsa as botana; their salsa is delicious too. You can ask for the camarones a la Chipotle to be mild or spicy. It comes with rice and potato salad which is also good. I highly recommend this place they have drink specials Sunday through Thursday. Seriously drop by if you're ever in area.“

Can't even update the STAR reviews if I could I would update them 2 stars I've been coming here since they opened, and at least 2x a week, love their food n service but the prices in last year have gone up by almost $5 each item. That's why I cut back n only go once a month if anything or less. I use to spend at least $60 a week there. Now prices have tripled and just not it anymore. Shouldn't take advantage of price hikes that everyone else is doing like rents, gas, food, etc. Smh“
