“Two of us enjoyed a quick lunch here. It's a busy place, but we were seated right away and service was quick. We both enjoyed our meals and the prices were reasonable. The carne asada street tacos were overflowing!! If I lived locally I'd be a regular!!“
“Every meal we have tried has been delicious, and the waitresse's attentive and friendly. The food was prompt with fresh ingredients. The dining area is spacious and your not packed in. You have to try the fried ice cream, you won't regret it.“
“I moved to Banning 3 years ago and have been driving to Mo Val and Riverside to find Mexican food I like. Well, the drives are over! I got the chicken enchiladas and a carne asada burrito and have to say these enchiladas were some of the bests I have ever tasted, the burrito was also very good. Rice and beans were a treat also, I will be coming back real soon!!“
“Overall good vibes here, We decided to go here to celebrate my brother in law's promotion. It was a Friday night so they were busy. It took about 30 min for us to get seated for a party of 10 (3 kids) which is not too bad. Waitress was fast and friendly. Checked on us pretty regularly to ensure we were doing ok. The food over all was great, all of the adults meals were delicious. Only thing I heard that wasn't great was the kids bean and cheese burritos. But kids are picky, so it's safe to say we'll be back, especially for the molcajete! Perfect for 2, and the cheese and chorizo and sauce inside it was the truth! Thank you!“
“The food is always pretty good here and the customer service is always on top of it. The lady that took care of me was extra sweet. I got a carne asada burrito and a chile verde with egg only. It was really good. I will be coming back again and thank “
“Who doesn't like Mexican food? Only weirdos is my guess. Excellent selection available at Nueva Generacion. My favorites so far have been the birria quesatacos, and of course, classic carne asada tacos. Can't go wrong there. My last order was exactly that -- two quesatacos, two asada tacos, and washed it down with some horchata (they have other aguas frescas too, of course). Food is good, and the prices are reasonable. Hard to find anything to quibble with there! They do accept card payments as well, making things very convenient. Lots of tables too if you want to eat your food there. Not that it has anything to do with them, but if you're eating with them and it's not the dead heat of summer, bring a sweater. Last few times I picked up food late in the evening it was legit cold. Couldn't believe it, but there I was, shivering as I was waiting for my food.“
“The ladies who were working today were amazing. They greeted, made sure the dining room was spotless and even had some fun with a great conversation. Most taco bells throw the food together, not here they took their time and everything was tasty and fresh. Thanks ladies. Have an amazing day and stay positive. :)“
“Great food in this spotlessly clean takeout restaurant. We went to Consuelo’s today nearly 7 years since our last visit — we are from the East Coast and hadn’t been to California in that time. However, as we planned our trip, the lingering memory from 7 years prior of incredible food made us build a stop here into our trip as we traveled from Palm Springs to LA. It was totally worth it!One big change is that the restaurant is now only for takeout (used to have a dining area 7 years ago). We were mildly disappointed by that, but oh well…the food was still delicious. We ate our tacos in our car and they were nice enough to give us containers to do so to avoid the mess in the car.The tacos are very big. One soft taco was like a small burrito and was sufficient to fill each of us up. The drinks were very large too (Coke products). The place was also very clean looking which is something that stood out to us 7 years prior and had not changed.Having tacos for breakfast was somewhat unusual but we were so thankful that we could have them at 9:30am to fill a long overdue craving. They did offer more traditional breakfast things too. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but hiding within is a true gem. After your first visit, you’ll likely want to plan your future trips around a stop here too.“
