This is my Platonic ideal of a burrito. The potatoes, eggs, and beans are perfectly cooked. The homemade chorizo really takes it a step above. And if you eat in, their fantastic hot sauce is just the cherry on top!
I’ve eaten here for lunch 1-2 times a week for the past two years - Comal Nextdoor is worth every penny. While it’s slightly more expensive than most food in downtown Berkeley, the key word is “slightly.” The portions are massive — I could happily split a burrito with someone else.The service is also really fast. Today, I got my burrito in maybe 2 minutes, I’d say the average is 4-7 minutes.Can’t recommend the chicken burrito highly enough, either.
