The food was suitable, but our server, Max, was terrific. He was attentive and always prompt in serving us. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup chicken flautas and the plantains. I really like Fondas, the small plates add up making it expensive to eat here, but the duck tacos are one of my favorites. The margaritas are some of the very best with the jalapenos. I also love the poblano pepper with cheese and sauce, one of my favorites here. The chips and guacamole are pricy for the portion, but still very good. The service is always pleasant, I like to sit at the counter and watch the cooks, they never stop!

Wow! That should encapsulate everything I'm about to say. To start things off to a strong warm welcoming for me, duck as a protein is a sign that this place was meant to be. The duck tacos with guacamole and pomegranate seeds were a nice end to my day. I confess I'm now using pomegranate when I roast a duck! At Fonda, the meat is tender, juicy, and so flavorful.
