This is THE best Indian restaurant in Berkeley. We only order to-go and they give generous portions that I can eat over the next two days. This is our go-to place and have yet to find another restaurant that blows us away as much as Mehak does.
This was a random visit at this restaurant while visiting Berkeley, and i had few friends for the lunch. This is by far a restaurant to refrain visiting from in terms of their food which ironically is what people look forward to in a restaurant. Owners of Mehak restaurant doesn't seem to get this simple concept of good food. Authentic quiet high quality family run. Plus you get a view of the sunset strangely because of the angle of their large windows. We had salmon Tikka that was fantastic and lamb biryani perfect. generous portions too.
