“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!”
“Loved everything! The service was warm and friendly, the food amazing and the space is beautiful. The only thing I'd change is the soundtrack volume as it was a very shrieky hip hop rap that was difficult to listen over and concentrate with. Thank you for your hospitality.”
“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.”
“Lovely spot with incredible atmosphere and food. The food was presented nicely and tasted even better. Would highly recommend the scallop/uni course and the skewers! the beef tongue was our favourite. As for the bone marrow, it was a little shallow and the miso overpowered it.Overall, I’d highly recommend n/soto to anyone looking for Japanese food around the area. Would definitely come again.”
“I went with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago and everything was amazing. It was our first time there, and we'll be back soon. Thank you to all the staff members from Damian!!!5 ⭐️”
“Barbara and Jofre gave us amazing service! Jofre especially went above and beyond gave us a list of places to check out In LA. We are visiting from Vancouver, don't know much about the area and he gave us a break down of what to check out and things to do. Will def come back, make this guy a manager ”
“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.”
“Very interesting location being in KTown in a small strip mall (with parking!) and a block away from some hip bars like Lock & Key. There is also metered parking across the street but if you come late enough, it should be free. We came not knowing it was a vegetarian restaurant (our bad) but that didn't matter. The food was delicious nonetheless. Walking in, it feels boho chic with some sculptures and paintings of ancient beings (?). Menu is on the QR code where you can order and pay through your phone but the servers are there to help if anything.Squash Blossoms: Lightly battered, filled with ricotta, and fried with a pumpkin seed sauce that reminded me of satay sauce. The combo of cheese and sauce was a great contrasts. Comes with only 3 blossoms so kind of pricey for what it is but deliciousRoasted Cauliflower: Solid but I really like roasted cauliflower. Good portion and good proportion of cauliflower to sauceSpouting Brassica: Tangy and reminded me of the sweet chili thai sauce that you can get from the market. Fennel is not something I generally look to order but it didn't taste licorice-y maybe masked by the sauce.Jackfruit Barbacoa Fusili: The fusili was al dente, which is always great. Jackfruit felt like it was missing or lack the punch I usually associate with jackfruit. It's a solid dish though with the tomato and cheese sauce.Anderson Pizza: A bit too many conflicting flavors. Jalapeno + kimchee didn't seem to work for me. Pizza crust was good though but too many things going on and would've preferred a lighter pizza focusing on one flavor. They also specialize in wines. I got a cab but it was very light without much tannins, which was interesting. Tasty but unexpected.Overall, a solid meal with some hits, good and friendly service, and a cool vibe for a easy meal.”
“The tacos de tripa where cooked perfect and they stuff the tacos with alot of meat, the alpastor tacos where Excellent moist and tender, they also have good salsas..”
“Nice, large chicken breast on the Sando, and very tender. Great atmosphere and employees very helpful and polite. Great Job!!! My son stated best chicken he has ever had.”
“The hype is fully deserved! I appreciate Villa’s Tacos so much for offering vegan options that aren’t just rice and beans, and what’s even better is that their vegan tacos are the best I’ve had in LA, which is really saying something! The agua fresca is great too ”
“The aesthetic here is quite beautiful. Made by a graffiti artist Kacper Abolik, horses and other subjects adorn the walls as you eat in the back room. Many dishes make a correlation to horses as well. The hot plate is a horse shoe. The butter is molded into a horse. The details really make the experience. The cocktails and wine selection is lovely as well. It's a great place to go for date night!”
“Simply amazing fusion good influenced w Taiwan local food taste (taiwan arguably has best street food :).. ). Amazing presentation and tastes that remind me of various well known dishes in taiwan. We added 2 extra dishes on top of the 9-course meal…. Simply amazing experience.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yanh's Kitchen, and I must say, their food is exceptional! I ordered the breakfast with steak, and it was cooked to perfection – tender and flavorful. The pancakes and salmon starters were absolute highlights of the meal; they were simply irresistible! The combination of flavors and textures left me craving for more. I highly recommend Yanh's Kitchen for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying dining experience.”
“I loved this place, probably the best tacos I’ve had in L.A. the drinks are perfectly balanced. I’ll be coming back for the lomo Saltado and the Panay dropper. Bartenders were fantastic and tacos came out super ”
“Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). Will definitely visit again on a Sunday ??Parking: Easy to access garage and the elevator close by. Very nice :)”
“Fantastic blend of Mexican and Indian cuisine. Kind hearted service and delicious food. Cauliflower tacos, pibil chicken bowl and jerra chicken bowl were all fabulous. Will definitely be frequenting this place!”
“Everything was truly scrumptious… the service was very attentive and the staff was very knowledgeable. I especially liked the butter steamed bass and the brownie sundae!”
“This is a hidden Gem. The server was a walking smile, fully aware of the menu excellent suggestions. Every single item was freshly prepared. Would highly recommend. At the same time kinda don't want to become overly popular.”
“Always love a place with a few items that are done really well. Tried the Samgyetang and GalbiJim, both were phenomenal. Hands down the best galbijim levels above Seoungbukdong and the portions are way larger. Great Banchan too.”
“This was our first visit to Mother Wolf. We have previously enjoyed dining at Felix, Chef Funke’s intimate trattoria in Venice. Entering Mother Wolf’s grand, soaring space, one would not expect the warmth of service which smaller venues are able to provide. To our pleasant surprise, the service at Mother Wold was outstanding, with a polished and professional (and friendly) staff endeavoring to provide a level of culinary execution and attentiveness one would expect at Michelin starred venues. Our server, Julia Tanase, was superb, a highly skilled professional (with a deep knowledge of the Chef’s cooking) clearly dedicated to providing gracious customer service. It is clear that Mother Wolf has invested in an experienced management team. Roy Morales, the manager in charge of the restaurant on the night of our visit (a full capacity Saturday night), seemed to be everywhere, keeping a careful eye on each table and closely monitoring the interaction of staff and guests. It was like watching the conductor of a philharmonic, focused on every note. Mr. Morales introduced himself to our table and discreetly asked if he could be of assistance. A restaurant of this magnitude could not function at such a high level without such experienced and skilled professionals at the helm.As to the cuisine, notwithstanding the volume at which Mother Wolf operates (275 seats), the foundation of Chef Funke’s cuisine remains an obsession with the quality of the raw materials - the fish, meat, and vegetables are impeccable - the pristine nature of the products resonate on the plates. At Ms. Tanasae’s suggestion, we began with a selection of appetizers, including the blue prawns in a fragrant salsa verde, ethereally delicate ricotta filled squash blossoms and rich risotto croquettes. Each appetizer was sublime. We then shared a pizza “Quattro Fomaggi”, a thin crusted marvel with a perfect, tangy crust reflecting its slow fermented dough. We followed the pizza with two of Chef Funke’s signature pastas, a Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and a Rigatoni with Oxtail Ragu. Each was delicious. Mother Wolf’s pasta is outstanding, comparable to the renowned pasta at Rome’s legendary Roscioli and Armando al Pantheon. We then shared the prime ribeye (accompanied by addictive potatoes and a refreshing arugula salad), a richly marbled aged steak perfectly cooked.Desserts were delicious, including a refined Baba al Rum and an elegant Tiramisu.I note that the wine list at Mother Wolf’s seems out of synch with Chef Funke’s soulful cooking. There are few choices under $100 and the selections and producers are disappointing. In contrast, the original wine list at Felix was distinguished for both its producers and value. Hopefully, the wine selection at Mother Wolf will evolve to offer a wider range of price points and more diverse and value oriented selections from Italy’s artisanal producers. This was a memorable dining experience. It is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Mother Wolf provides a spectacular framework in which the extraordinary cuisine of Chef Funke can be fully appreciated. Given the scale of the restaurant, the execution of both the kitchen and service team is nothing short of remarkable. Kudos to Chef Funke and his management team.”
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.”
“I love this place, and I love the people who run this place. The food is amazing, full of amazing fusion flavor. But I think the experience of sitting with your friends and chatting with Bee and Wali, the owners, is great. They have a way of making you feel seen and special. It's honestly a wonderful place and really deserves to be checked out!”
“What an amazing dining experience! From the minute you walk in the door- the detail in the decor, the service , the food- beyond incredible! The artwork is stunning- even the bathroom is worth visiting for the beautiful wallpaper and decor. The setting is intimate and warm. You can feel the love from the servers and the love put into the food. The flavors are so unique and delicious. There is something for everyone- vegans and carnivores which we had some of each at our table. Each dish was as good as the next. I was hesitant about ordering the trout but it was the stand out dish for me. The delicate, moist white fish inside the crispy skin. I couldn't get enough! I never knew Ethiopian food had scrumptious desserts- to die for! The food is so delicate and healthy that you feel great afterwards despite probably overeating. Can't wait to go back!!”
“Fantastic food in an even more fantastic space. It may sound lame but the entire menu seems to be stellar, no misses here.Dietary restrictions: They were sensitive to my dairy sensitivity.”
“Very cozy diner with great atmosphere. Love the food with seasonal ingredients and creative flair, all very delicious. Great for friends gathering and a big menu for a lot of choices with different price point. Will love to come back if i was in town again!”
“One of the most memorable dinner of my life! This is why you save up for a great meal. Elevated Korean food dinning, you don't have to fly to Korea for. Every dish was presented beautifully, artistically and tasted as good as it looked. Even the service was top notch. I hope to come back soon, as I'll dream about this experience.”
“The initial attraction to this restaurant was simple. A Michelin star, and there's a cheeseburger on the menu?!? Sign me up. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was modern, minimal, and comfortable. We were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche of creme fraiche and green onion with some sort of crunchy vessel holding it together. Then we moved onto the baguette, which, while delicious, I would probably pass on my next visit. Then came the onion tartine, which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly blistered gruyere cheese over caramelized onions and delicious fresh bread drizzled with a duck fat reduction tableside. Think of it as a perfectly executed inverted French onion soup. Then came the burger. Upon arrival, it was announced as a 50/50 blend of ribeye and duck, smoked gouda, and caramelized onions on an incredible brioche bun. I've had a lot of burgers, and none of them even came close to this one. Perfectly cooked, lovely char, and incredible flavor. We ordered the Madeira mushroom risotto as a side dish, and that was delicious as well. Every course was perfectly spaced out, and the wait staff never missed a beat. The overall experience was faultless, and I can't wait for another special occasion to return.”
“Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.”
“I always like to grab lunch there.Vegetarian options: They have a good selection .Kid-friendliness: Good for the children the selection is great.Parking: I've never had any problemswith parking.”
