PLEASE READ UPDATE!Original review: Wow! I was honestly a bit weary after reading some recent reviews but I’m glad I came. Ironically I wanted to try mama hung or “pho hot” but they were closed! So I came here and I’m SOOOO glad I did. The beef pho was yummy and HOT! The charbroiled beef spring rolls were AMAZING!!! The Thai iced coffee was also yummy but I got it half sweet. I WILL ABSOLUTELY BE COMING AGAIN! Glad I found a yummy pho place.update: came on Feb. 19th again. Unfortunately the consistency of quality isn’t there. I ordered the same exact thing again and it’s different. The spring roll is loose. Way less meat in it. Less noodles in the pho. And the sauce that came with the spring rolls is completely different. To make it worse the waiter came to my table with the check and the machine to pay as I was mid spoon in mouth. Not anywhere near closing time. I’m a bit turned off now but since the first experience was on a Saturday, I’ll try to only come on that day assuming it’s the better staff. Sucks that’s now I have to worry about this. Hopefully they work on this.

Food is great but unfortunately their service sucks. Orders cancelled, or always messed up. Too bad cuz the food is great but they need better service.

Went for dinner and it was delicious. This is a local and low key place. They also have a great bar but I didn’t get any drinks. The service was great and the food came quickly. I would go again.

If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. I don’t normally ever leave reviews, but I felt like this was pretty warranted. Here’s my recommendation: Do *NOT* order from this place. I ordered take-out from here. They gave us a pork banh mi without any pork. We got a soggy, stale bread filled with pickled vegetables. As for our second item; we got burnt, cold egg rolls! Fine, I get it… mistakes happen often, especially at busy restaurants. What upset me was how the restaurant handled *their* mistake. I was told “we’re really sorry mam, but we can’t do anything about it.” Awesome, thanks! You’re the merchant, you made the food, you gave me the food that I purchased from you and you can’t do anything about it???

I ordered the pork eggrolls to go. They were so very good, crispy and meaty. the service was extremely friendly! I appreciate the quick pickup time and yet my order was still super fresh tasting. The restaurant is gorgeous, absolutely perfect for date night, yet also very reasonably priced. Great job!

I have been there for a while and i didnt know the ownership has changed nor the menus. I got Chicken rice and tofu fried. Tofu fried was ok but the chicken was so dry and overcooked. I finished the plate cuz I didnt wanna waste it.

When we entered, we weren't greeted like other patrons. Okay... we sat down and waited 30 minutes before even being asked if we wanted something to drink. An hour later, the server came and told us they don't know why our food wasn't put in for order. The people who came in after us received a warm welcome and their food prior to us. If you'd like to be treated less than human, this is the place to come. Otherwise, look elsewhere. While a mute point, when did it become the norm for a business to blame the patron when an error made on their part? Even if it was an exaggeration, which I assure it isn't, if the response below isn't a clear indicator of the level of service you can expect, then I'm not sure what is.

Came here with the family to enjoy some yummy food and we're not disappointed. We started with some apps, order the wings you cannot go wrong with those and the eggs rolls. Service was great we were asked many times if we needed anything and waters were constantly replenished. The food came out hot and all the entrees were so delicious, you have to try the garlic noodles! Also the decor of the place was very cute. All in all a great place to eat and check out. We will be coming back, thank you!

Service is fine, very nice and quick.Pho flavor is a bit too "American" and the portion is small.

Really cute vietnamian restaurant with affordable prices. Staff were super friendly and the Pho soups we took were delicious. This is the kind of small places with ambiance we like very much.

Decided to try this place for DineLA. My server was helpful and very attentive. On his recommendation I tried the chicken street fries for the appetizer portion of the menu. While the toppings were tasty, the fries themselves were soggy and lukewarm, as if they had been sitting out for a while. For the entree I went with the oxtail pho. Very good broth and noodles, but even allowing for a protein with a high bone to meat ratio, almost all bone and no meat. The star was definitely the lotus cake dessert.

Happened to be in the North Hollywood area and found this cool, hipstery fusion joint. And I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere was nice and the tables were cleaned. It wasn't that busy for a Friday afternoon, which if you read the other reviews, people be acting like it's jam packed. But maybe it is at night? Or at least I hope so, because this place is delicious and filling as hell. I went in during LA dine week, but I just ended up ordering off the regular menu because I didn't feel like soup. And they don't let you mix and match on the LA Dine vs the regular menu. (Which ok, fine.)Anyway, the lovely waitress helped me (Black girl with beautiful curly hair and glasses) choose between some items as everything looked so good and thank god she did. It was a home run. I ordered the Beef fries which is a delicious concoction of fries, spicy Mayo, beef and jalapeños and damn was my mouth on fire... but it was too delicious to resist. And then I ended up getting a pork banh mi sandwich, and left without finishing the other half because I was so full. (I packed up the half and ate it the next day, warmed it up in the oven it was still delicious). Anyway, everything I ordered was hot, fresh, crispy, spicy and delicious. And I would absolutely come here again. I also ordered the sparkling limeade drink and that def put some hair on my chest that was so sour. Love this place! I wish it was closer to me in Orange County, but actually I don't because I would probably never leave.

I came here to try their DineLA menu and since I've been doing DineLA this was my worst experience. I had lunch during the weekend, and I don't know if they were short-staffed and didn't have all their ingredients together or a combination of both, but the entire experience wasn't good.DineLA lunch menu consist of appetizer, entree and dessert. Two of the three items I ordered weren't available. What? It's still the weekend and shouldn't you be prepared on your supplies and staff?? I ordered chicken fries, ox tail pho & lotus cake. After placing my order I was told that there were no fries available. Isn't fries kind of a staple at restaurants? Isn't this what is typically ordered for kids so they can eat something?? Okay fine, no fries. It probably was for the better that I didn't eat fries and I had egg rolls instead. The oxtail pho was okay. The highlight of pho is always the broth. The broth here was okay, they probably use chicken stock or something with very light flavor. The bowl itself okay. There wasn't much meat in the soup. I mean there were more bones rather than the meat itself. This is where it gets really confusing. After being done with the meal, since there is only one person working all of the tables (and it started to get busy as we were eating) and phone orders we were kind of forgotten about. So it took a while to get his attention. The waiter probably forgot we got the DineLA menu, but as he was bussing the table he said there is no more Lotus cake. Another let down. He said that we could have milk tea instead. Okay, fine. I just wish he had told me prior to ordering so I wouldn't have had to by $25 per person meal for a lacking DineLA menu. He passes by shortly after and says there's one lotus cake available. I see another table get pandan ice cream and so do we as it was also ordered. Shortly after he gives us a black tea of some sort with boba. But still no cake. As he is bussing the last plate he says something that the cake will out shortly, but I couldn't completely understand what he said. Since we were there longer than we should have been we ask for the check and the black milk tea to go while we're still wondering about the supposed lotus cake that there was one more of. Again, we were ready to leave and should have left about 15 minutes ago. If you don't have the items on the menu, do not promote it while dining and telling the customers 'there are no fries" and after we were seated you start to say there is "no lotus cake". Also, you, the business know it is DineLA and yet you have missing items??! This is absurd! Seriously, what a disappointing DineLA meal. I was going to give this place three stars, but after this review two stars seems fitting. .
