Smells very bad and the owner Ottos attitude stinks! I went to get a beer but the selection was poor and the smell was hard to toleraye. I asked him.if he had little bottles of liquior as a shot was all I really wantd. He said doing something suspicious, were not a liquor store. He couldve just said no as I watched him use his dirty hands between paper and meat located in another area. It seems like a fire trap.He assumed because I'm American Black I thought he was a racist. That was weird and put of k ow were. Be careful All ladies@He wasn't interested in my business just making me uncomfortable. We're all aware this was a sun down town, bearing the same energy. How they act when they think no one is paying attention. Shameful, sad representation of a Anglo manThe store is a mess, the meat for the deli not stored well. It's very junk and unorganized, really hard to see what he was driving. Let's keep record of who is who in these unsafe times. A real weirdo?

Disgusting and terrible service. DO NOT GET YOUR FRESH ITEMS SHIPPED! They do not refrigerate food items when shipping. They make up excuses as to why their items get delivered rotten. Even if you pay for overnight shipping food still needs to be refrigerated. I hope this place gets shut down. Puts a bad name to us Hungarian people.

I ordered kobasz for a gift to be delivered. It did not arrive on ice even though I paid for express.

Unfortunately did not read reviews just went to shop in person. The store smells like theres a couple dead people hidden behind, everything is old and unorganized! they over charged me big time and everything was expired that I bought. Even got food poising…No chance to go back and complain ( or burn the place down)so here i am- Your store needs to be closed up and hopefully all your profit will go to pay for violations!!! Shame on you representing anything Hungarian! ??

If you’re looking for Hungarian food items this is your store. The Hungarian sausage is to die for. It could be cleaner and less cluttered but whatever we bought was delicious. This store also had a lot of Hungarian china and cooking tools used in Hungarian cooking.

We have ordered several times from Otto's each time being very difficult as far as customer service, timely response and clarity on shipping. This last time was the last though, we are definitely taking our business elsewhere. After exchanging numerous emails and waiting months for our large order to arrive we received it in terrible condition. These were mostly cured and fresh sausages shipped with nothing to keep them even remotely cold. The vacuum packaging on most of the items was broken causing discoloration and 2 of the items becoming rancid during shipping. Those 2 items we had to discard. We addressed these issues via emails to Otto's with several responses offering nothing more than back and forth confusing statements about shipping policies. We wonder if the person who responded to us shared our issues with any of the owners if not I hope they see this review and put a little more attention to detail when shipping expensive, perishable items

Did not actually eat there, passed by it while searching for the lost episode. Was much better when it was Don's Import Store and Delicatessen.

I have bought szaloncukor from Otto's in the past. This year was no different; however, what was different was that the candy had maggots in them. Buyer beware. I will never buy from Otto's again or eat szaloncukor. Disgusting.

Very disappointed in them. For the second year I tried to place an order for Christmas and haven't heard word one from them. They do not answer e-mails and their voice mail is always full and you can't leave a message. No way to run a business

I found Otto's online after searching for Hungarian deli that would ship a holiday gift to my father in law. I followed their web sites direction of printing their order form and then submitted my order via email. I have been calling them for the past four days and no one is answering and there is no ability to leave a voicemail. Fortunately, I provided a virtual credit card number created specifically for Otto's site by my credit card company with a one week expiration to the card. I wish that I had come here first to read the reviews as I have now lost days to order a holiday gift to ship to my father in law.

After days of inability to get ahold of a human other than email, I was put in an invisible queue to be contacted for my card info for my online order to no avail. I called multiple times, and no one answered the phone, and there is no ability to leave a voicemail, even though phone orders are advertised. So, I ordered my things elsewhere (two other places immediately arranged for my orders to be shipped, one the same day). After I emailed to cancel my order, I got this reply "Sounds good. Order has been canceled. We wish you all the best for the Holidays." Sorry I wasted my time.
