Charley's is a favorite of mine and my daughter's. At 13, she can be a picky eater but she loves the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak. The strawberry lemonade makes it even better with the gourmet fries.
I always stop by when I'm at the Camarillo outlets. Years ago, Charleys had a "cordon bleu" on the menu - nothing but turkey, ham & Swiss, but they don't have it on the menu anymore. When it's not busy, I ask for one & always have to explain it. Sometimes, it's like I'm not speaking any language they have ever heard. "OK, give me a turkey & cheddar, but replace 1 slice of turkey w/ 1 slice of ham & instead of cheaddar, use Swiss" - this is usually what works & they look very proud...read full review

Love me some real cheesesteak. I am afraid that the smaller rolls and the paltry amount of meat reminds me how expensive things have become and I got a little depressed for them. Beef is expensive - So, If I come here again, I will order with double meat and ignore the prices - so I can make sure the meat to bun to cheese ratio is done right. Eating should be a joyous occasion, not one that makes you stress about the economy.
