“Kyoto Palace is a vibe, my family and I came here friday night and we were not disappointed. I'm ngl I was a little over stimulated because of how loud the restaurant was from the guests to the music, but it was a good loud you could tell people were enjoying themselves. Once I got a drink I felt way better lol, the drinks were tasty and strong. To drink, we got the senorita margarita, side car, el burro and my name jeff. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the last two drinks they were so good. The service was great from the chef and waitress and the teppanyaki was pretty good as well. I got the palace trio and for the most part it was really good especially the next day. I'll def be back with friends :)“
“Love this place. If you say 'service was nice' and then give service two stars, you aren't really being honest, are you? So, perhaps, you need to rethink how you slam your fingers against your phone, yeah?I think there should be a different set of metrics for in-house and delivery or take-out. That said, I have had in-house and delivery (Uber) and stand by my number of stars.First off, the prices are great for what they serve. In this area, you could go to a confidential place and get far less for far more. Second, sure, the rolls might not be as tightly rolled as the ones you find in other places. But they contain a lot of fish and aren't small . . . and did I mention the price (again, let's keep it confidential)? The appetizers are also good. The udon plate was wonderful. The calamari appetizer is simple, yet wonderful. The gyōza are on par for most places like this. And I guess the sake special is a big draw (as I don't partake). Third, the staff are a treat. They greet you with a smile. They say goodbye with a smile. Heck, on one recent visit, the chef/cook/owner(?) sent a plate of free fish to our table. They are busy and you have to wait? You understand that is what happens when places are busy? They aren't profiling you. There is no evil intent. If you are a doof, maybe they just don't want to serve you?All in all, thank goodness they aren't located in what is now downtown Campbell. I hope they remain a hidden treat for those that know. For those that don't, I am lying. And, for those that do and left lame reviews that sounded like you have acid-reflux-criticism-disease and can't wait to waft that stuff at the interwebs, seek help. You might feel better. But, seriously, you aren't (hint: you are the problem that you seek to fix). And you ruin the chance for a place to thrive in an area that tends to crush good places, with good service and prices, in favor of momentarily interesting spots that end up leaving you feeling empty. That's not confidential.Recommended.“
“Great local spot!I love the layout and the decor which feels authentic and cozy. I learned that this place has been with the originally family, who are Japanese, for 40 years. My go to appetizer, if you love albacore and onion, is their Tuna Tataki. It's fresh, flavorful and you get so much fish for the value. I also love their nigiris and rolls which always feels fresh & easy to eat. They also have TVs if you like watching sports . If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar- It definitely feels like a spot where people know you, you have friends and it feels like a place you would frequent. I would recommend : tuna tataki, nigiri , udon and sake!!“
“Disclaimer: the business owner reached out to me wanting to learn how they can do better on an otherwise good first-time impression. Props to you all not satisfied with "just being good" and wanting to improve every possible way they can. With that, they provided me a $5 credit towards my next purchase to apologize for not meeting my expectations. Again, my first time was overall great anyway, so I thank you for the generosity! So with that, I came back for more Sushiritto! Using the Local Kitchens app, I ordered the Latin Ninja with the wasabi aioli on the side. Within 5 minutes the order came! Talk about speedy service! I must say this one was tastier and better than the Fiery Chicken and I love what they have done here. Fresh fish, nice profile of savory and mild wasabi with added chips for the extra crunch. Also the wasabi aioli is a fantastic condiment on the side to apply whenever you want. If you can kind of tell from the photos, it is a bit on the smaller end. Still hungry and having some left over wasabi aioli, I ordered Geisha's Kiss (a not-as-popular item). This one took a bit of a longer wait considering by this point many people ordered online and the people coming in are there for delivery. 15 minutes later listening to some EDM music, my order arrived. And this time, MUCH BIGGER! I do not know what it is, but at this point I had a challenge ahead of me.Don't worry though, I thought Geisha's Kiss is now my new favorite as it has all the hallmarks of a great burrito: nice size, nice flavors, nicely portioned, and things falling apart at the bottom end. Seriously, all fantastic burritos have the bottom spilling out. It's the rule. The yellowtail here is fresh, and the sweet tamago (Japanese scrambled eggs) goes well together with the pickled vegetables and crunchy chips. Add in the wasabi aioli makes this some sort of amazing Americanized sushi. Overall, super full, and super happy.“
“This is the first Asian restaurant I've found in the South Bay that specifically has gluten-free sushi on the menu. Not just that, but they also have tamari (gluten-free soy) sauce. I appreciate that the owner/chef is that careful and considerate of those of us who need to be gluten-free. I'll definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten-free diners.“
“My friend was hyping this place up so I decided to see if he spoke some truth to his statements. It didn't disappoint, but it didn't hit it out of the park either. Interior is very presentable. Clean and new. There are a lot of choices to pick from, but you get a limited quantity per category. You have their base, two base toppings, two scoops of protein, five toppings, two sauces (unfortunate), and then two sprinkles. The taste of the fish by itself is okay. Sauce is really good though. I was surprised at how much it was (about $3 more than what I'm used to paying) but their portions are very generous. I could not finish my bowl in one sitting when I always do. Hopefully the next time I come back, I'd find my go-to recipe!“
“Everything we tasted was delicious and very nicely prepared. Service is very attentive. Yes the price tag is on the higher side but for the quality you get, it is actually very reasonable. And I am speaking after having to try several omakase places in the area, including in San Francisco. Ambience is simple and understated. Highly recommend it.“
“So glad I got to stop by with my parents today. My mom loves to eat red bean mochi/ manju ever since I was a kid. She was excited to get them. They were very fresh, not too sweet, the mochi was nice and chewy. They are close Monday through Wednesday. Will definitely be going back!“
“The udon deluxe was good but the more I ate, the more salty it tasted. They also didn’t put a lot of meat in there. The creamy salmon udon was good. Takoyaki was just meh. Had too much mayo on it. Eggplant tempura was good just a little greasy. Atmosphere was very nice. Service was slow but it was because there was only one server working and she was really nice.“
“We came here to celebrate a birthday. We had several orders of sashimi, chef special poke, and some rolls. We were blown away. Bowl K achieved the trifecta of freshness, quality and quantity. We plan to return again and again. This spot is a local gem.“
“We went on Valentine's Day, not the perfect day because there a lot of couples ahead of us but we're able to secure a table, so that's a good thing. The atmosphere and food was absolutely a steal compare so other fancy sushi place. I loved the Philadelphia Roll and the wife liked the avocado roll. Sushi Roll was to go for quality with a budget in mind.“
“Always a phenomenal time here. Constant quality of food and service. The only knock is it's a little smaller and not easy to accommodate larger parties. But the staff here is always amazing and as accommodating as much as possible. My favorite Shabu restaurant in the South Bay.“
“Absolutely the best sushi in South Bay. Their fish is so incredibly fresh and high quality that I don't bother with anything else. The Extra Special Nigiri Sushi is what I get almost every time.Parking: If the nearby parking lot is full, I usually park at the parking garage across Castro. It's a short walk away.“
“The food here is very good! They have so many different meat options to choose from, even if you do not eat pork or beef. The lamb and seafood are fresh. Stephen (Curry) was an awesome server and made sure we were always attended to and kept with new rounds of food on the table!“
“My parents have been going to the location in Menlo Park since before I was born and they were even married. It's a long time family favorite for good value Japanese food. I grew up eating there all the time and finally got a chance to come to the San Jose location after ours closed down a few years ago. The Gombei dinner is always a good option for variety. Also check the special entrees and sides on the board.“
“Came here for dinner on a Saturday night after some rock climbing. Luckily we put our name down right before a bunch of groups came and we got seated in a few minutes. Otherwise it was looking to be at least a 20 min wait. Ordering was through your phone. You also pay on your phone. Water is self serve. Food comes out on disposable plates. So turn around for tables can be pretty quick! They have their system nailed down. All the food came out quickly and it was all delicious. But oh my god the pork katsu. That first bite was heavenly and I will have to order it every single time! We all got a variety from karage to chicken katsu but the pork...always pork from now on. It was tender and just melted in my mouth. And the fry was perfectly crispy. I can't wait to come back!“
“Authentic Japanese izakaya with a wide selection of delicious Japanese food, everything from ramen and sashimi to curry and bentos. Lots of great side dishes too, I personally enjoy the natto, sushi to pepper and tsukemono. They also have plenty of Japanese beers and sake. Open pretty late too (11pm) for when you get a late night craving for Japanese food.“
“Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.“
“I ordered takeout through Uber Eats from this place, so can't comment about the service and atmosphere of this place. I got the spicy dragon roll, gyoza and salmon teriyaki entree. The gyoza was standard and it was a slight let down because it wasn't warm, but that's completely on the Uber driver as he had to make a few deliveries on the way. The spicy dragon roll was disappointing, it wasn't spicy at all and the sushi roll's rice didn't appear spot on. The salmon teriyaki was standard and decent. However the miso soup was plain bad, too watery and lacking flavor.“
“YUM. Can I just say... YUM. Okay, here's the rest: I met a friend for dinner here on a weeknight around 5:30 or so & it was perfect. No people. Well, maybe one or two other tables of peoolebut in general, it was early enough to beat crowds (which there later came to be). We were seated right away & ordered using the digital ordering menu system. The place had plenty of seats with a variety of table sizes to accommodate parties of various sizes. Despite ordering digitally, their staff was still very attentive, stopping in to check on our needs often. It was very nice to have someone stay on top of my water needs. I ordered the curry beef udon sizzling plate & it was sizzelicious! Everything was nice & fresh & the meat cooked up quickly so I dove right in. The udon noodles were perfectly textured & I liked the corn which was a fun texture to add to the plate. For those who've never been, this is a place you want to visit in clothes that you don't care getting covered in the smell of oil all over. That sizzle gets all up in your clothes, your hair, your skin if you get your face in there, so don't dress to the nines if you're planning a visit (or do if you love the smell of oil, I guess. You do you.) This place is comparable to Pepper Lunch in Milpitas - love both places. Now I'm hungry.“
“Udon was delicious, beef was cooked well, sauces were yummyKid-friendliness: The setup is a little difficult for kids. It's kind of intended for one tray per person and fitting multiple bowls on a tray is a little hard, but they have plenty of high chairs and space to use them, so overall it's good.“
“We love this place it is our favorite sushi restaurant in san jose. The sushi chef and servers are super nice they remember us and make us feel like family. Super fresh sushi and friendly service. 49er roll is family fave. also kids love the tempura ice cream.“
“this has become my family's go to sushi spot. service is really friendly, we're so regular now they pretty much know our order without asking. the sushi's fresh and delicious, and it's just a simple experience for when you need to scratch the sushi itch.Vegetarian options: there's a few things, but I wouldn't expect anything specialParking: it's in a medium size strip mall so there's usually plenty of spotsKid-friendliness: nothing overtly kid friendly, but also nothing kid prohibitiveWheelchair accessibility: plenty of tables with free standing chairs that could be moved to accommodate a wheelchair“
“Super small but sushi is sooo good and fresh as well as fast and friendly service, we got 3 orders of Nigiri, 6 classic rolls and one specialty roll and only paid 107Vegetarian options: There are a good amount of veggie rollsParking: Small parking lot.“
“I had a good lunch here today. This is a small hole in the wall that serves up good food. I remember coming here when they had a different name and if I remember correctly, this is an upgrade. The staff was attentive and courteous. I enjoyed the special match tea and the bento box. The salmon was fresh and like butter. I was not as big of a fan of the chicken katsu.“
“Hidden gem amazing food reasonably priced great service!! I was blown away by the quality of the fish and overall presentation. It's a small restaurant that many locals were dining in and getting takeout from while we were there. I will definitely be going back next time we are in the area!!“
“I came in for the first time today. I ordered the terryaki chicken cheese sandwich. It was not bad, came with sourdough roll, jack cheese, mushrooms, onion and chicken. Not the best chicken cheese I ever had but it was ok. Very nice guy running the place.“
“Service was super quick and nice. We ordered the Tonkotsu, black garlic and the tantanmen ramen. All three were so delicious and flavorful. Pretty affordable too. We went around 6pm on a Friday night and there was plenty of space but the space is pretty small so it was pretty packed by the time we left. Definitely would recommend.“
“And oh Really Cool. Each table has a tablet for ordering food. You can assemble the dishes, add or remove items from the dishes. Then the dishes arrive in a boiling pan and it cooks right in front of your eyes. Beyond that, the service was excellent, the waitress explained to us how it works and was available for any request. And most importantly, the food is delicious and not expensive.“
“We went for dinner. I had a Dragon Roll, and others with me had a Shrimp Tempura Entree and a Bento Box with Beef Teriyaki / Stir Fried Vegetables. For dessert, we had the green tea ice cream and the mochi ice cream. My favorites from the evening were the sushi and the green tea ice cream. The portions were well-sized, the food was tasty, and the server was very kind.It was a great experience, and I would happily go again.“
“Love this place. Have been a loyal customer for many years. Unfortunately after COVID many places went up in prices and down in quality, luckily it’s not the case for this place! The food is fresh and tastes good, and the people are so nice, they truly care about their customers.“
“A hole in the wall. Sushi day is sharing space with Indian pizza. And there is a store to the left. Laundromat to the right. The location is very sketchy. We decided to do a take out. Oh boy, we were so surprised with a quality and the quantity was very generous too. The lady serving us was very friendly and spoke good English. Definitely ordering from there again!“
“I returned a month later. Boy oh boy. It was love all over again. This time we got the sake set and added otoro nigiri, corn soup, white peach beer. How did I miss the corn soup the first time? Again the fish was so fresh - and served at the right temperature. The cuts of fish and knifemanship really shined through. Also, real wasabi.“
“Got the lunch special twice, and it didn't disappoint. All the items were tasty and nicely prepared. I've visited Japan and would say this dish is comparable to what I've eaten there in terms of authenticity. The service was friendly and quick too, despite how busy lunch hour tends to be here. The only thing is that the eating area is not the most spacious. However, I've eaten at smaller places in Japan so it's not a bother to me but worth noting.“
“California diaries・I keep coming here and eating delicious food!Delicious seafood, vegetables, and meat ?It's delicious? Here are the meal details! It's a sushi restaurant with a spacious space, a wonderful counter with the smell of wood, and a live performance that feels like a stage, where you can watch the craftsmen work right in front of you.Wood, concrete, pottery, glass...I liked the simple and relaxed feel of this shop♪They also give detailed explanations of the ingredients.Seasonal ingredients are incorporated throughout, giving you a sense of the season and a quality that makes you feel like you're in Tokyo!Tuna ? is aged for 14 days from Spain.Tonight's course is called sea urchin special.(I'm drunk, so I may have missed something)☑︎Yuzu pepper sesame tofu☑︎Mekabu☑︎Grilled firefly squid☑︎Boiledsushi☑︎Hokkaido scallops☑︎Sweet shrimp☑︎Striped horse mackerel☑︎Tuna☑︎Sumika sea urchin☑︎Medium Toro☑︎Lean meat☑︎Sea urchin seaweed☑︎Conger eel☑︎Ball☑︎Smoked cherry salmon finishSea urchin special☑︎Simmered sea urchin and eggplant☑︎Sea urchin x rice crackers☑︎Chawanmushi☑︎FutomakiEnd with matcha ?Originally.Extra editionFrom here, I decided to drink Kistler!☑︎Hotaru squid marinated in oki☑︎Semi-boiled salmon roe✔️Sake list☑︎Ohmine Yamadanishiki "2 Grain"☑︎Kurozaemon Junmai Daiginjo Nama Genshu☑︎Juyondai Junmai Muroka✔️Wine list☑︎DOM PÉRIGNON VINTAGE 2013☑︎Kistler Chardonnay Cuvee Cathleen2009I shared all the alcohol with the owner and everyone.Dom Peri 2013 has a clean, neutral flavor that goes well with sushi. “You can easily book a table online or just give the restaurant a call. Our group of four made a seamless entrance on time thanks to the reservation. They've got a diverse menu with nearly everything covered. The'Unagi Omelette 鰻魚玉子燒,' 'Yamaimo Sengiri 山藥紫蘇', and the 'Mentaiko Pasta 明太子麵' are my favorite. The beef tongue and clam soup were also delicious. If you're into Japanese food with a local casual dining feel, this place comes highly recommended! Plus, they have private booths for a more intimate family or friend gathering.“
“We came here on a Friday night 3/22 around 5:30pm. We're seated right away at the sushi bar. The place started getting extremely busy and all the tables were occupied by 6:30pm. They had 1 main sushi chef then a second cook came out to help. 2 waitresses on staff that were all working very hard non stop, but can't seem to keep up with the patrons and DoorDash standing by. We ordered the Rainbow roll - very fresh Tiger dragon roll - love this roll Spicy tuna roll - one of the best Kanpachi nigiri - it was okay Hamachi nigiri- very good and fresh Scallop - will not order again Ebi - just okay. We will definitely come back, but on a different day of the week when they not as busy.“
“Located in Vietnam Town, Enjoy Seoul is in a corner of the left building when you pull into the lot. It isn't the biggest, but definitely clean. My mom and I were seated immediately for an early dinner. We are regulars here as my mom thinks this is her favorite Korean restaurant, and I have to say the soup and the stone bibimbap is also probably the best too. It was more than enough food for the two of us, and we had about one serving left to bring home. I think the banchan helps make the meal filling! Service is average, but in a good way. Took a star down because the table next to us got their food first but we ordered before them, and they seemed to order the same thing we did. Overall, definitely will come back again, and if you do go, try not to go during lunch or dinner rush because it's not that big and you might wait a while.“
“Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!“
“The steamer baskets are super! Also great nabe options, especially on stormy days. Service is friendly and fast. Dishes served in correct order. The agedashi is tasty. The staff checks often if anything else is wanted. The plain rice ? is good!“
“Very high quality fish with great portion sizes. I came here with a few friends and we were all very satisfied. I got the dinner combo with 2 orders of sashimi (16 pieces total) and the pieces were very big, fatty, and high quality. My friends got the sake don (also very high quality salmon) and the chicken katsu, which came with a mountain of chicken katsu and was great for the price. I will definitely be coming back as this is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to in the bay area.“
“I had lived in Japan before. The food was authentic and service was very nice. Definitely will visit again!Oyako udon teishoku was my kid’s favorite and my husband really enjoyed Miyuki teishoku(he chose beef sukiyaki, chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu).“
“Terrific Japanese cuisine in an unassuming location. The sashimi is great, but my party found ourselves more impressed by some other dishes: grilled chicken and the eggplant curry were surprise hits. Explore the menu and be delighted — with flavor!Wheelchair accessibility: It's a little tight inside but zero steps at the door.“
“Best sushi in San Jose! Wish the place was a bit bigger because it’s always busy, but I get that the owner likes things just the way they are. Bigger isn’t always better. My favorite sushi place since Kubota closed in Japantown. One thing I have to say is that you call and the phone just rings and rings. It’s literally like they turn the phone off, that’s not good.“
“Outstanding, I ordered the Classic California Rolls. Very fresh ingredients, and very nice staff! The chef who made the sushi was very nice and friendly. And the waiter was super nice. I loved the pirate theme inside the building. There are so many things to look at, The building is like a hole in the wall, and very cozy. Had soft music playing in the background, very comfy chairs as well. The service was nice, very helpful for choosing things to pick and descriptions on menu items. I would 100% come here again and dine in.“
“On my birthday, I came here for a meal, and as soon as I entered the restaurant, I could smell the aroma of natural wood, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. Every dish was fresh, with many ingredients sourced from Japan. Particularly delightful was the fresh and sweet sea urchin imported from Japan. Each course provided both visual and gustatory enjoyment, and we had a delightful dining experience. Since it was my birthday, they even presented a beautiful plate with exquisite desserts – a thoughtful gesture that made the experience truly fantastic! It’s indeed a remarkable Kaiseki restaurant.“
“We arrived around 12 noon on Sunday morning and heard that there was only one server on the floor. They informed us there might be a little wait. However, after we sat down for a few minutes, our server, Yoon, greeted us quickly and took our orders right away. She even checked in on us after we received our food. The best thing was that she recommended the spicy wontons, which are made in-house now. We LOVE it!! We also ordered some other appetizers and our ramens. Yes, the reviews are right; the restaurant is a little loud if you are sitting inside, the place is definitely pricey for ramen, but you're paying to be at Santana Row. Overall, I'm very happy with their food and service.“
“I have indulged in a late lunch at Tabu Shabu twice. The staff did a great job of describing the options and preparation process, after learning it was my first visit. They checked in several times to ensure things were going well and offered advice. There are a variety of protein options and the vegetables gave "farm to table vibes." The meat was high-quality and the ponzu dipping sauce was delicious.Parking: The parking directly in front of the restaurant is small and crowded.“
“This is definitely one of the best authentic Hawaiian food that you can get here in the Bay Area. They work in a ghost kitchen, which means it isn't a restaurant. You order through their website and select a time for pickup. They only operate on Thursday-Saturday with time slots for pickup being very limited. I recommend ordering at least a week before you plan to pickup because there won't be available times if you order the week of.Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp: I am so amazed by how this tastes. Those who have went to Hawaii, this is the closest thing to Giovanni's Shrimp Truck in Hawaii. The shrimp is cooked to perfection and there is TONS of garlic. This is a must get!!!Original Spam Musubi: Great meat to rice ratio. They put big pieces of spam inside so every bite is flavorful. The spam is cooked with a tangy sweet sauce, which is how it is supposed to be everywhere.Chicken Katsu Musubi: The chicken is so tender! Skin of the chicken is crispy and the pickled cabbage tops it all off. The cabbage gives a nice crunch and refreshing taste to balance out the fried taste with the chicken katsu.“
“First time coming to this location, had an amazing experience ?. The food portion are big and taste great!! Our waiter was cindy and she was amazing!! So welcoming and always on point! Will definitely come back to this location and would recommend to everyone!“
