La Michoacána is so underrated. So many different flavors that you don’t see in a typical ice cream shop that is not La Michoacana. Not sure why people like it more.I love all the milk based ones, they’re softer and creamier. They hit the spot on a hot summer day.
Went there on the first night in LA and tried the plum wine and matcha mochis - they were so good we had to return again on the second night. It was late so they didn't have much flavors left. We tried butter pecan, coffee and black sesame. Plum wine is still the best.

These shops are the best! If you're not familiar with them, be adventurous and try something new. There are flavors that some people would have never thought of. The staff is happy to answer any questions. Screens display many of the snacks that are available as well. This place satisfies all sorts of cravings. Reasonably priced and servings are very fair.
