There many Bakeries in the San Fernando Valley, but in my opinion, after going to Edy Bakery on Topanga Cyn just north of Sherman Way for around 40 years, I still find their products better than any other bakeries products, even including Porto’s. Which is second on my list.

Love this bakery! We get bread from here everywhere week, za-atar, rye, sourdough, and wheat are all favorites. The pear almond cake is spectacular. If you have never tried a Cannelé, you are missing one of the most amazing pastries ever created. For a birthday, we ordered the Eclair cake. Many of those who enjoyed it declared it the best cake they had ever eaten. Luscious custard, rich ganache, delicate genoise? Beautiful chocolate flowers? And profiteroles?
