“Great food and service but they need to do something about the hostess stand location. It is very awkward and there is nowhere to stand when waiting for a table. I moved forward and four groups cut in front of me since the hostess did not ask who was next in line, she just looked at someone else and took their information.“
“Food is fantastic, and spice levels are spot on. I believe the owner has greeted us on multiple occasions and he's extremely friendly. Great atmosphere, milkshakes, and service! Definitely will be back many times. They also have military discount which is always nice to hear of the support!“
“Had our food delivered, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. But the burgers and fries we got were great! I particularly loved the Well D'Onion burger; the spicy ranch had flavorful kick with just a little tingly on the lips, not burning your mouth off. Good stuff. Totally will get food there again as I want to try a shake too.“
“What a find this place is! The cocktail program is spectacular, extremely unique and well balanced original cocktails coupled with excellent classics.Food is also really tasty and unique with thai inspired dishes. As if Same Same wasn't great enough, they have gluten free dishes and clearly someone is aware of cross contamination in that kitchen, because I have celiac and woke up feeling great which is kind of rare. So BRAVO Same Same. Your staff was amazingly knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining as well. The decor is also awesome. My husband and I cannot wait to come back and try the whole menu.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and Gluten Free / Celiac friendly“
“This place is always a great place to stop by whenever we are in the area. High quality good, service and dessert. Their chicken pot pie is our favorite and any pie or dessert from the bakery is a special treat. Counting the days for us to return to this kitchen restaurant.“
“What a wonderful hidden gem. We enjoyed everything - from the warm welcome as we entered, the delicious meals and excellent service, the very cozy interior design, and the super cool built-in museum which shed light on the importance of certain historical moments. My son ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and I had the seafood mixed grill trio. The fish was very moist and tender, the beurre blanc sauce insanely tasty and the mud pie was delightful. We will be back.“
“This is a long overdue review for Urban Plates. I do not usually post reviews, however, I have to reward the consistency of outstanding customer service and consistently good food with my feedback. Manager Manny Mejia is always on site greeting guests and making sure all customers have an exemplary experience. I have been coming to Urban Plates for years with my family and friends. I love the Plate Pass program that gives me 20% off of my entire bill including wine/beer. The restaurant is always clean even during their busiest times. When it is peak eating times, you may have to wait for a table but, Manny and his staff will try to make your wait as quick as possible. Finally, let's talk about the food. The beet salad is one of my all-time favorite salads. I also love the chciken tenders which are addictive as are the fries. The steak with chimichurri sauce is delicious. I always leave Urban Plates feeling satisfied and happy that I am able to enjoy tasty food prepared in a healthful way. You owe it to yourself to eat at Urban Plates.“
“Great service! I had the scallops with polenta and it was so good! The scallops were sweet, the polenta was creamy, and the sourdough bread that was served before the meal was hot, fresh and crunchy. I plan on coming back the next time I'm in Carlsbad.“
“I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience dining at Ponto Lago last week. From our arrival at the valet with Tom who went above and beyond to walk us to the restaurant and give us recommendations at Park Hyatt, to our greeting from the hostess to our service from Saeid and Norma- everything was incredible. We ordered the- Guavarita which was a Tequila Cocktail with Guava Foam (the guava foam was SO good): $20- Seasonal Fruit Smash which was a Berry Mocktail: $14- Burrata Salad: I don’t remember the price but it was delicious- Local Blue Fin Crudo: I’m pregnant so I couldn’t taste this but my husband loved it- Tenderloin Steak with Chimichurri, Sweet Potatoes Side & Churros for DessertThe entire meal was absolutely delicious. The portions appeared small at first but they were so flavorful and with the various courses, it was actually the perfect amount. Each dish had a phenomenal presentation and we talked about the sweet potatoes and churros for days after- they were THAT good! We’re already looking forward to our next visit to the Park Hyatt Aviara and Ponto Lago. Hoping we get the same staff as they really enhanced our experience!Parking: Valet parking only in front of Park Hyatt Resort“
“I love vegan food especially when it's out of this world amazing, there's a reason why this is called express and not like the other Plot. The food is alright at this one, fries are great but the truffle sauce needs a rethink. The crunch wrap is good but mainly full of lettuce. The Chicken Bites are pretty yummy but I don't care for any of the sauces. So some good and sucky things here, I honestly rather go to the other one that's a restaurant, it's better with more choices.“
“Polo Steakhouse continues to impress with its attention to detail and culinary excellence. The addition of New York steak to the menu further enhances the dining experience, offering another delectable option for steak enthusiasts. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, the New York steak is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Before diving into the main course, indulge in their bread appetizer, a delightful assortment of freshly baked bread paired with artisanal spreads. It's the perfect way to whet your appetite and set the stage for the feast to come.As for the cocktails, they are nothing short of extraordinary. Expertly crafted with premium spirits and innovative flavor combinations, each sip is a journey for the senses. Whether you prefer a classic martini or a unique concoction, the cocktail menu at Polo Steakhouse offers something for everyone. From start to finish, Polo Steakhouse delivers an unparalleled dining experience. With exceptional service, a luxurious atmosphere, and a menu that showcases the finest ingredients, it's a culinary destination that never fails to impress.“
“What a great place place for some food, some beer and some fun. Amazing bar with a ton of taps. TV’s all over. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. The food is great from the sausage platter appetizer to the loaded brisket fries and the amazing short rib melt (one of the best sandwiches i’ve had in a long, long time). Great for large groups. Excellent.“
“Hearty west coast breakfast menu. Decent Latte. Service was good. Items were fresh. My mushroom and spinach omlette was good. Hot sauces brought to the table, but we were never asked about butter or jam for toast till we asked. Coffee refills had to be asked vs offered.Inside seating is cramped and lots of fott traffic due to multiple service areas. Outside looks calmer.I would go back if someone else suggests it, and would not fine with the choice. It would not be my first choice.“
“The chilequilles had outstanding flavor and freshly made tortilla chips. My wife likes chilequilles, and I don't usually prefer them because I don't like soggy chips... However, these chips seemed fresh and crispy despite being in the green sauce. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes (opted for gluten free) were really good especially for being gluten free! There are so many menu options that sounds so good that we definitely have to come back to try them all.The service is great and fast.We dined on the patio with our fur baby where they provided blankets and heaters so we were very comfortable out there.Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten free pancakes!“
“This place is fantastic if you're a beer lover! Also it's very dog friendly, they even allow dogs inside. I've only ever been here for work happy hours, but I definitely need to make the trek sometime to experience it without a big group, because I have no clue what the food menu actually looks like. All I know is the food we have here is always really good. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes but that's the only real downside.“
“Stopped here today for breakfast and my friend wanted to have lunch. I got the pancakes with scrambled eggs and potatoes, it was pretty good. My friend got an Impossible burger and subbed the fries with onion rings which she said was very good. She also got crispy green beans which it tried and were good. The one thing that bothered me the most was that when she went to put her green beans on a plate the bottom of the container has red cabbage stuffed in the bottom to make it look like it was filled with the green beans. These 2 meals with the tip came to $71.00!!!Restaurants are getting crazy with their prices. ?“
“Excellent upscale but casual restaurant. Great selection of beers and other drinks. Open and airy space. The food tastes great and is a good value for the large portions and on point tastes. It is located in an easy to reach mall with lots of open parking.“
“The food is great, ambiance is nice and service is excellent. It is very consistent. It's perfect for date night or family time on the patio. My husband and I really enjoy coming here and are never disappointed. We look forward to returning.“
“Had lunch there today with wife, son, and daughter in law. It was our 4th or 5th visit in the last couple of months. Food and service, as usual, both outstanding! We left for a gelato, and I freaked out, finding out I didn't have my wallet. Went back to restaurant front desk, "no problem, here is your wallet". Whew! Thank you, Thank you - Le Papagayo!!!“
“We stopped here on a Sunday for a late breakfast. It was busy, but we got a seat outside. My friend and I shared a breakfast burrito. It was good, but nothing special. My friend had a spicy Bloody Mary & enjoyed it. Next time I would try something different. Great service for a busy day. Inside is really small, so I'm glad we were outside.“
“Great late lunch/happy hour with wife and friend - service was exceptional (Louie). We sat outside and had a lovely time - started with the Truffle Popcorn and Deviled Eggs. As for our "mains", we enjoyed the Caesar Salad, Cheeseburger (Truffle Fries), and Fish Tacos. The Fish Tacos were the winner. I ranked our experience as "Good Value" but realize that the CoGs and Labor costs are way up so I understand the FS menu pricing requirements. Will certainly return again next week!“
“Happy Hour Daily 4-6pm, great selection of drinks and appetizers and the bartenders are super chill. The music flows and creates such a vibe in the place, centrally located in the village in Carlsbad this place definitely merits your attention.“
“Fun outdoor venue, a converted cargo container, right on Carlsbad Village Drive, good for people watching, didn't have food, just cocktails which were as pricey as full-on restaurants. They do have a Happy hour menu we noticed. Had to try it once.“
“I am visiting my son in San Diego area.We have been dining at different restaurants.Tonight was Eureka ! Wonderful and unique ambiance. Seating includes high top tables, dining room tables, and awesome bar area. Beautiful outdoor sitting when weather permits. The vibe is great, along with the food and service. Interesting menu with intriguing options. A shout out to our fabulous server, Nathan! We had a wonderful evening and dining experience.“
“Went out for a business dinner and I couldn't have asked for better. The food was great and the service was exceptional. Ambiance definitely helped. We will absolutely be back! Definitely one of our new favorite places. Only recommendation from the whole group was to please chop the Caesar salad. (It was still great though. Lol )“
“It was a bit of a wait about 20 - 30 mins which is totally normal for a Saturday I feel, however when we were seated the server was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the dishes, Food was really good, and it was how we ordered them. Really good spot!“
“We were at The Landings for Sunday, St. Patrick's Day, and enjoyed the outdoor patio and wonderful music of Jackson Patrick who entertained us for 4 hours. It was a perfect day and we had fun with our group of 8, good service and yummy Irish food, and green drinks (wine and beer, not so much the Blood Marys).“
“We hit Jay's twice... needed a dog friendly patio. Parking lot on busy corner but once the food arrived we didn't notice the traffic. Seafood combo was topnotch. Hot, fresh baked bread sticks disappeared in a blink. Came back for minestrone another day.“
“The whole team is awesome from the girl at the front Manning the hostess stand to the manager Barb, who was such a great team, player and all the peeps who helped me at the dine in counter! Amen to say, Customerservice is not dead! Thank you one and all for a great experience I’ll see you again for sure?“
“Food was so delicious, our server Tara was super attentive, she went above and beyond. She mentioned today Monday marks her 20th year anniversary there, now I see why lol. The ambience is quiet, mellow & super close to the beach!! They have a delicious vanilla latte!! Will definitely be back soon!“
“#1 the service! Great! 5 stars, excellent attitudes with a homey feel.#2 the food! Great! 5 stars, good portion, flavor and appetizing lineup in the menu.#3 the location! Quick in and out, then great to-go times. I ate in and was seated quickly with quick food prep. I have order to go and also with the food delivery apps and I have never had a bad plate.“
“We were in town for a soccer tournament and Karl Strauss hosted our group easily. We had a very long table on the outside side patio. They also have QR code ordering so everyone can order separately to avoid dealing with a massive split check problem. We ordered the pork chops with potatoes, zucchini, pub burger with fries, a kids meal, and ahi poke nachos. The food was all solid. I don't particularly like the way they make sauces but they accommodated putting everything on the side so I could sauce or not sauce at my leisure.“
“Came here for lunch on one of the weekdays. The weather was nice so we sat outside. We ordered a Turkey Melt (sliced tomatoes, horseradish cheddar cheese, wild argula, basil mayo on a Saide Rose ciabatta roll) and a Sante Fe Chicken Salad (romaine, super greens, grape tomatoes, roasted corn, natural cheddar, red bell peppers, tortilla strips, chipotle-agave vinagrette). Everything was extremely refreshing and was a nice pick up for lunch to bring the energy back.“
“Delicious yet clean cut burger! Friendly service in a well maintained environment, nice indoor and outdoor seating available. Had the Lounge Burger - excellent! Add bacon for a few bucks more next time, then would be almost perfect ;) Wheat bun, different but healthier so I'll take it, definitely a go to spot for lunch when in Carlsbad“
“Here, in this restaurant, you will find delicious food if it Is for breakfast or dinner and the price of each plate will vary depending on what you do order. If you are a member of IHG Rewards Club, then please charge everything to your room because that's the only way for you to accumulate hundreds of points so that you can get free nights, free merchandise or free airline tickets.“
“This is a regular stop. We start with a glass of house chardonnay, which is fantastic! Check the happy hour menu for the best price. There is always parking available but you may have to walk a little.Wd go for linch and always find a seat. The have both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and move to the cashier to pay.We split the steak sandwich and wings. Both were excellent. Make sure you have plenty of napkins with the wings and dipping sauce.Highly recommend!“
“We had a great time overall and do plan to come back during the day to experience the view in a daylight. The food was great - we ordered Calamari, Salmon and Chicken curry. The place was busy and our order was mixed up which is understandable. This was not a big deal given the overall great experience we had. Our waiter made up for the small glitches and we appreciate him.“
“When we arrived we found there to be a bit of a line for checking in on a Monday evening however once we got to the front and Rebecca helped us we forgot all about the wait. She was so thoughtful, thorough and professional in explaining everything to my mom and I. My mom is recently been having to use a wheelchair and Rebecca was so intuitive that she asked my mom if she might need some other medical devices to make her stay more comfortable. We didn’t even know they had these things available and they were already waiting for us when we got to the room. Shower chair and toilet riser. The place was beautiful, large luxurious rooms with fantastic amenities. My mom said it was the most beautiful place she had ever stayed which brought tears to my eyes. The only thing I would suggest is more handicapped parking spaces. We had to park some dip from our from in the 61 building and with a wheelchair and luggage proved a challenge but again the only suggestion I would make. We stayed in the cove area and yes there was construction but I was only during the daytime and we were made fully aware prior to check in. As for the small amount of noise from Lego land we rather enjoyed hearing the beautiful laughter of happy families enjoying each others company while make memories.“
“Not sure if it was because of what we ordered but our experience here was noticeably better than last time. The service was excellent (server Amanda) and all the dishes we ordered were delicious (lamb shank, ahi poke, clam chowder and sourdough). Amanda was also nice enough to seat us at a great booth with ocean views and bring us a dessert for my daughter's birthday.“
“My kids consider this food "unironically" good. They were astounded by the quality and taste. They grew up eating from another chicken place and realized Main Chick is everything they liked about that place but to a higher dimension. Everyone ordered the Combo #1 with varying degrees of spiciness and cheese content. The staff is lovely and the packaging for takeout orders is sturdy. We will definitely be frequenting Main Chick.“
“I picked up a bagel next door this morning and wanted to come back and try out the burger place. I came back during dinner time and it was packed. The bar was full and I wanted something more quiet. They put me in the outside seating area. The decor is very rustic and the music was all 80's rock. Perfect. I ordered the mushroom burger and my server recommended doing it with a double smash burger. I'm glad she did. The burger looked great along with the truffle fries. The fries were fantastic. Great flavor and the parm helped balance them. The bun had a sweetness to it and over all the flavors were on point. The server and staff were attentive and great. All around good visit and would definitely come back.“
“Good spot for a meal in the Legoland Hotel. They take good allergies very seriously here, with the chef himself coming out to our table to discuss how menu items are made. Our flatbread appeared as if it sat on a heating plate too long (see picture), but the chicken pesto sandwich was good and the beer selection was quite solid (a pint of Yeti imperial stout from Great Divide!).Dietary restrictions: They take food allergies very seriously here, asking about them before orders are taken, and the chef coming out to discuss food preparation in light of any allergies mentioned.Parking: No parking specific to the restaurant, use the Legoland Hotel parking.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, as is all of Legoland.“
“The driving school is the kid’s favorite. It’s good opportunity to learn the traffic rules and the responsibilities with fun. There are some other rides and attractions to explore in the Fun town, such as Fun Town Police and Fire Academy, DUPLO Playtown, Kid Power Tower, Rebuild the World, etc. kids can have lots of fun.“
“Let me tell you a lot about this restaurant: My brother and I decided to go out for dinner while we were staying at sharoton hotel. We of course out of convenience pick their on site restaurant the 7 mile kitchen. The name is catchy, I must admit but I have, sadly, no idea what it means. As we walked into the place I was struck by the atmosphere. The decorations were unique and fun and the view was splendid but I have to admit the rest was quite depressing. We came at around 5:30 but the restaurant was dead other than a family who seemed to be quite hangry at a table near the entrance. There was no background music and there was an obnoxious tv in the corner that was quite distracting. We walked to the desk where the hostess, Simon, met us. He was polite and very nice but seemed bored, sad, and wishing that he could be out at the beach rather than working as a hostess. We continued to our table, a squishy booth with a table that was mostly sanitary other than a few funky stains and spots. Our waiter came to greet us by the name of Edgar. He was very studious. He gave us water which was very nice even though it tasted like butt, but that’s California water for you. But back to our experience, we then looked through the menu and chose the margarita pizza, mushroom truffle pizza, and a Cesar salad and Edgar very kindly took our order with his cute notepad. We then waited for a respectable 15 minutes for a dinner. In the mean time we drank our butt water and watched the other waiters do their job, Reynard and Charlie. They seemed to be doing splendid Reynard was very very nice and Charlie did a great job cleaning up the food that some kid dropped all over the floor. She did it with a bright smile on her face and she looked like she was having a sunny day. A lady by the name of Megan brought out our food. Let me tell you a little bit about Megan. She, according to her name tag, was IN to gardening. That’s all I know about Megan. Now on to the food:Cesar salad- greens= fresh, delicious and CRISPY, dressing=mhmmmmmmmmmm yummmy all in all would def recommendMargarita pizza- at first glance and last glance it looks like cheese pizza. First bite and last bite, looks like cheese pizza. But it was quite enjoyable! It was a little soggy but the tomato sauce was SPLENDID and the motzerrepla was great. Sometimes it all fell off the crust though like a slip in slideTruffle pizza- As I toke my first bite the flavors rushed into my mouth. The main one being BURNT crust. It was CHARRED like when charazard breathes on a peice of wood. Other than that it was actually pretty tasty ?.Portions- 1 pizza per HUNGRY person ??Next a lady by the name of Ashlyn took our plates away. She was bubbly an warm and just overall a very nice person! She get an A+!!!!Then Edgar came over with a bamboo check thing and we paid. Then we left the table and walked into the hotel lobby listening to SCREAMING kids.Overall Rating3.85869684858685848585/5 ⭐️7.85736274846485848/10B-Emoji rating- ?Tips:Keep up the good work, get the cooking down on those pizzas ? be a weee bit better. Waiters - you are #CrushingIt“
“We went for the Tuesday prime rib night 3-course dinner. Great food and service. Loved our servers! Excellent staff. Salad, wine, meal, and dessert were great. We dined outside with a nice view and heaters to keep us warm. Highly recommend.“
“We eloped yesterday in the desert and drove into Carlsbad to have a relaxing day near the beach. We have heard such great things from a close friend about Campfire so it was a no brainer where we would eat dinner. We had no idea how fantastic of an experience we were in for, or how insanely delicious the dishes and mock-tails would be, and lastly how the service and hospitality would be so beyond that it would bring us to tears. We felt so special and honestly cared for by our waiter Zach and even the management. Being that it was the day after our elopement they went to beautiful lengths to make me and my wife feel special. There are no words to capture how emotional that was for me and her. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Campfire and Zach will always be a part of our wedding story!Thank you thank you thank you for being beautiful people!! We hope to make it back there one day! Maybe an anniversary trip! “
