“Bento place run by a real Japanese fellow (and a real nice one, to boot). They know how to make proper sushi rice. Their selection is limited, and if you aren't there at opening, you run the risk of them having run out of your favorite thing.“
“Salmon roll super fresh, great promo on sake right now, authentic atmosphere. Not a ton of gluten free options but I'm pretty happy with the basics. Our server, Aria, was very thoughtful and considerate making sure we had a good experience...we had been outside and caught in a surprise downpour and were cold and wet. She brought is hot water with lemon to help us warm up because it was too late in the day for us for any caffeinated green tea.“
“Food was great and the female wait staff were so nice but the male kitchen staff made my friend and I quite uncomfortable with so much staring at one point it seemed all of them were out in the front and were staring so much. No hate to the restaurant but i’d like to comment on it because this sort of stuff can be very uncomfortable for women I’m just trying to enjoy a meal and don’t want men staring for no reason.“
“After eating here, I am convinced that heaven exists. I could spend a lifetime inside this restaurant and not find a single thing to improve. This is the best poke place I have ever been to in my entire life...top quality everything. There is much more than poke here too. It's clean, it's fast, it's a good price, it's delicious, and it's a lot of food.“

The interior design of the restaurant was modern and sleek, creating a calming ambiance. The menu at Mot'to Japanese Grill offers a variety of traditional Japanese dishes as well as some unique and creative twists. I highly recommend trying their signature rolls, which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. What impressed me the most about Mot'to Japanese Grill was the quality of their ingredients. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and you could tell that they take pride in using only the best ingredients. The attention to detail in each dish was evident and made for a truly memorable dining experience. The service at Mot'to Japanese Grill was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. They also made sure to check on us throughout the meal to ensure that we were satisfied with our food.In addition to the amazing food and service, the prices at Mot'to Japanese Grill were reasonable. I felt that I got a lot of value for my money, especially considering the quality of the food. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes on the menu.Overall, I highly recommend Mot'to Japanese Grill to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. The combination of top-notch ingredients, creative menu options, and exceptional service make for a dining experience that is truly outstanding. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.“
“Hit theeee SPOT! I've been craving sushi & after 3 different places this week I was still searching. Last night my husband and I got the teriyaki combo plate and I had the Carlsbad Lagoon. That roll is phenomenal! The mixture of lime, cilantro & fish ?.. OMG!“
“Positives:All the American style rolls were very good. The Sashimi Deluxe was also very good; came fresh and in pretty large slices. The Garlic Edamame was very good and everyone at the table enjoyed it.Great Atmosphere and quick serviceCons:Had the absolute worst Old Fashioned I've ever had in my life. I recommend sticking to the beer and wine menu.“
“It was my first time here and I just want to say that the staff was amazing the sushi rules were very well put together taste very wonderful and they had a very fast service I have to admit I was in love. Like I said it was out of the blue and I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good place for sushi!“
“Being someone who loves sushi, this is definitely a great place to stop. My friend had talked about Rolled Up and wanted to introduce it to us. I walked around Windmill Food Court and decided that I was wanting to try some sushi. I had never tried a Sushi Burrito before and have heard a great deal of good things about it. I ended up going with The Works Sushi Burrito, and man was it delicious. Loved the great selection of fish, tempura, and vegetables that made up the inside of the burrito. High quality ingredients. My burrito took about 15/20 minutes to be made, whilst others in my group only waited for about 5. It was fantastic, but for $20 I would say it definitely is an expensive meal. If you are willing to shell out the $20 I would definitely say it's worth a try!“
“Best SUSHI in North County San Diego!!!! Aaron the Sushi Chef is a Master Sushi Chef, Bill the owner makes sure he has the best freshest fish possible…. Don’t forget to order my favorite soup Hot Pot of Chicken Wonton Soup WITH Extra Bok Choi and garlic ….. All the Curries are to die for.. the Thai Boat platter is great !“
“J Box @ The Island is by far my favorite lunch spot. I come here at least 1-2 times per week. They have the freshest Poke around. They really ruined all the other Poke places for me because every time I try one - I always compare it to theirs and it is never as good.“
“Enamored by the charming truck stand nestled in the vibrant green lawn, I stumbled upon this juicery during a leisurely stroll through Carlsbad Village, and it proved to be a refreshing oasis. With a comprehensive array of options, it felt like they catered to every post-workout need one could imagine.Opting for the Skinny Greens, the inclusion of jalapeño instantly caught my attention, and the choice turned out to be a flavorful delight. The attentive and genuinely welcoming service from the staff, combined with their evident enthusiasm to engage with customers, added a delightful touch to the overall experience. The juice itself lived up to expectations--delicious, refreshing, and it left me feeling energized! Without a doubt, I look forward to revisiting this charming corner of Carlsbad for another dose of rejuvenation.“
“Absolutely loved this sushi restaurant! I got the double salmon tempura roll, and the baked salmon roll and they were both absolutely delicious.Service was great and they got a 30% off happy hour from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM each day which is awesome.“
“Just moved up here from down south 3 months ago. Been to scared to try a new sushi spot. Super sushi did not disappoint have it a go today with my mom. Sushi was amazing good portions decent pieces. Extremely fast service. Will definitely be coming back soon with the rest of the family.“
“The service here is wonderful!! Our server was very attentive and so kind. The staff all work together to make everyone's dining experience great. For appetizers we got Takoyaki and their special soft shell crab buns. The Takoyaki came out piping hot and was so flavorful! The soft shell crab buns are featured on their Spring Menu and they were very unique. The crab is fried and seasoned with mayo and pickled onions. I felt that there was too much mayo. For ramen we tried Tonkatsu and Miso ramen-- the broth is ok, I would add extra spice for some additional flavoring. Overall, not a bad ramen place in north county!“
