This was my very first visit to Monarca Michoacana and I feel terrible leaving this review because the service was lovely, but I just cannot recommend their food. I ordered two corn in a cup (elotes) and a bag of wheat pinwheels (chicharrones or duros). The corn is definitely not fresh and it is prepared with cheese and mayo (toooons of mayo) and it tasted spoiled . Thinking back, I did notice that the mayo was not kept refrigerated so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? The pinwheels were in a sealed bag and were dated with a future expiration date, but they were rancid and left a terrible after taste after just one bite. I think they specialize in ice cream and popsicles so I may visit again for that, but definitely not for corn. Twenty bucks wasted today on the two corn and pinwheels that went directly to trash.

This place literally copied the whole menu and the original name ( Paleteria y Nieveria) of La Jungla Michoacana, and this place only changed the name to monarca, and were very rude when I ordered strawberries and cream , the cream isn’t good ,tastes like pure milk

I gave it a one star but i could id be giving it -1 due to the disgusting, disrespectful, horrible, awful, and repelling taste in my mine and my boyfriends mouth. Worst ice cream ever!! WHO RAISE YOU GUYS!

I went into the store and I ask for a crepe and i took a bite and it’s was hard and cold and when I asked to be made again she had told me she had made them in the morning that’s not how those should be made and she was rude I asked twice and made it the same and still got mad over something that had to be done right there and not in the morning never will go back!!!!

Food was spoiled. Owner was so rude. The meat tasted so bad, I got the STOMACH BUG for 4 days after eating here!!!! The customer service was so bad when I was ordering. It seemed they didn't want to to serve me. Would not recommend. Take your money somewhere else that serves unspoiled food and actually gives good services. Disappointed but not surprised.

Ice cream was old and had very little taste and even the taste it had was not good. Lady had her earbud in and was talking on the phone entire time. Just don’t go to this place!

Visited this ice cream shop for the first time. It was very odd that when we walked in, it was super warm in there. The two staff members that were working were not the friendliest and their product is overpriced. I got a rompope raspado and it tasted like banana. When I asked the lady if she gave me the correct flavor, she looked offended and bothered. I wouldn't go back.

It's good. My kids like the fruit tray called "pico de Gallo." Which you get a small or large tray full of "sliced fruit". Of any kind.They'll even tell you if their fruit " isn't tasty or bad" and offer other fruit, which is great instead of giving you what you want "and going home to be disappointed...."It is a little warm inside and maybe some fans or Ac set at a normal temp to avoid warm/bad fruit to go bar and guests to feel warm upon entering . But my kids like it so it's a 5!
Super awesome people and place. I went in for the first time today with my boyfriend and nephew and we all loved what we got, an elite con crema, nieve, and fresas con crema. The people who helped us were so nice I loved the experience
