Geko-Tei Japanese Kitchen

As of now, you need a reservation to dine here because of COVID and limited seating, but its very easy to text them and they respond very fast. I've been dining here for many years and they were a favorite of ours during the covid quarantining. I love their chicken/tori nanban. Their omakase is also really delicious and the sashimi was very fresh so I think it is worth the money. It came with a good variety of cooked and raw dishes.

I am immensely grateful to find authentic Japanese food here in the area. the flavors were delicate and beautiful. There is grace in how the dishes are put together & the price is very reasonable. I hope everyone can come out to try geko tei :) They will take u on an amazing trip & pamper your palate. I have to go on a bend and say- I will never settle for less and step foot in the other "Japanese restaurants" in Cerritos again. Those places are serving animal feed in comparison.

Amazing experience as expected. Quality of the sashimi was comparable to the sashimi in Japan. The horse mackerel (aji) whole sashimi had a touch of sesame oil and ginger so wonderful. They took the bones and fried them so crispy they could be eaten whole, to the delight of the whole table. Chawanmushi was smooth and wonderfully fluffy.
