“Went here for the first time today and it is the cutest little Dutch coffee shop. Rachel is so kind and their apple strudel was homemade and delicious. We also had their espresso con panna it is strong but also very good.”

“Breakfast at Cravings was delicious. I had the granola parfait and there was so much fruit and such a nice assortment. Hubby had the oatmeal which he also deemed very good. Service was friendly.”

“I enjoyed the Carnitas burger. I did add the tomato. The meat was tender and flavorful. The fruit was crisp and fresh. French fries were hot. The service was wonderful. It's a cute little family owned restaurant set with cheerful sunflowers everywhere including in the decor. I will definitely frequent this restaurant on my many returns to Chester California. The restroom was very clean.”

“Come here many times, from out of town. Large portions of authentic Mexican cuisine. I buy the 2 or 3 piece combinations. Chips and salsa are often on the table when we get there. I like the shredded beef here. I also like the Masa on the Tamales a lot too. They are open in October too, when many places are closed for Winter. In short, if you are looking for a good meal that sticks to your ribs, then give this place a try!”

“Ok maybe not completely 5 star but by far some of the best sushi around, ingredients are obviously better quality then I have found in Reno or chico, we drive over a hour to eat here ”

“We highly enjoyed the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We also did a flight of beer and tried several flavors. I liked the peanut butter porter but our favorite was the pale. Service was excellent as well. Server was attentive at all times. Would highly recommend and we will return.”

“We stopped in to watch the PGA Open and received exactly what we expected - a cool clean small town bar with NASCAR on one TV and the PGA on the other! Brian served us ice cold beverages (including a NA beer for me), and rustled up some food. (Food options were limited, but we’ll prepared and nicely served.)”

“My husband and I shared the entree of 2 Carne Asada Tostadas with rice and beans and it was delicious. Dinner with drinks and chips and salsa was only $22. Amazing price for such a wonderful meal. We eat a lot of Mexican food and this is one of the best!”

“We like Red Onion quite a bit. In the summer we like to sit on the deck and in the winter it is cosy and quiet indoors. There really are only two restaurants within the peninsula area; more in the Hamilton Branch area, but if we want to stay close in we alternate between Il Lago and the Red Onion. Il Lago is loud and fun but not a good place if you want to have good conversations due to the noise level. We like the variety of food at Red Onion (something besides pizza) and the peace to talk with friends. That is in large part because the bar is far away from the restaurant dining, unlike Il Lago. So those drinking a lot and having fun are at the bar. That makes for a more quiet restaurant. Yay. All depends on what you are seeking on a particular night.”

“Pizza is excellent as well as the lasagna. They do a great job of making sure the bottom of the crust is crunchy, a must in my mind. Generous toppings, good sauce. I like the veggie with added pepperoni. Nice selection of beer and cocktails. They offer a gluten free pizza crust which is unusual for this area.Service is friendly, bartender is great and a great atmosphere both in the summer and winter. We will be back.”
