“It’s a great menu for seafood that you can’t find anywhere else in town, and consistently good. I learned today, though, that they no longer have full-belly fried clams (only strips). So instead I asked for fried scallops, wanting to know first if they are sea scallops and not the puny bay ones. Person who took my order confirmed they are sea scallops, and that there’d be 9 or 10 in my order. I was a bit surprised to find that not only was it more like six or seven at the most, but the scallops were flat, as if each one was cut in half into small disks, then fried. The food here is always very good, just the scallop dish was a bit deceiving, and for $20, a bit pricey for half a dozen half scallops.“

“So I've seen this restaurant around for years. I never knew exactly what it was for, and some friends had dinner here and really recommended it. We get there for a date night, and the people are friendly. The food is so freaking delicious and their bread. Idk how to explain the explosion of seafood flavors. This is definitely worth the money and a repeat visit!“

“We have come here in the past and it is always good Thai food. It had been a while, and I was a bit disappointed they got rid of the lunch menu, but at least the portions match up to the prices of the regular menu well. Never had a bad experience at this restaurant and will continue to eat here in the future.“

“Ive loved coming to chan phengs for years now. It's really the superior quality of their dishes that has kept me coming back again and again all of these years. “It was our first night in Chico and everywhere was so busy! We called here and they explained it was a short wait, so we were gonna kill time at the bar; but we showed up and they instantly sat us! All of our drinks were fantastic. Our server was very friendly. Even the owner stopped by our table to say hi and ask us how all the food was. Of course, it was all really incredible. My veal was cooked perfectly. I felt a little underdressed, but the restaurant isn’t a super fancy place. You can still impress your partner with the atmosphere and the portions! I regret eating so much and not getting dessert. Maybe the next time I’m in town!“
