“Such a great local spot! They have amazing food and drinks. I highly recommend their grilled pork (Bahn Mi) sandwich, it's so good! Their toffee mocha freeze is so yummy and had small chunks of toffee in it.”
“Snapdragon did the catering for the Spring Yoga Retreat (hosted by Paloma Yoga) this April. Every meal was so delicious and nourishing Love having such an amazing option here in Colfax!”
“My family loves eating at The Wrecking Crew in the morning for a quick bite. The croissants and bagels are so yummy. They also bake cookies and cakes that never disappoint.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible”
“The pozole was super flavorful and perfectly spiced. Dare I say, probably the best pozole I’ve had. My wife really enjoyed the tacos too. Great food in a convenient location right off the highway. This will be my new pit stop on 80.”
“The pizza is friggin amazing!!!! The price isn't bad, either. Service is a bit spotty if it's busy, but same with anywhere.Parking: Parking has never been a problem!”
“Roadside dinner, with soild food.8am breakfast on way to slopes was a well places stop.Great hash and amazing sausage patty where stand outsMerch? Yep.friendly staff and reasonably paced service.Defiantly with the small detour from the highway.”
“Went there for lunch today on our way back from Reno. What an unexpected surprise to have such quality food & even better service Will definitely be returning soon”
“It was nice to see an authentic Mexican restaurant in downtown Colfax. The was fresh and hot. It's good to see chips and a salsa bar. The menu is basic but covers your Mexican food craving. Colorful decor with a good location and plenty of parking. After your meal, check out the old buildings.”
“Great friendly service the other day! I wish I would have got the young man's name that took our order. He was amazing and patiently got all of us through the lunch line as quickly as he could. I couldn't remember when I had eaten Beach Hut Deli last! Probably circa 2018 passing through this stretch of 180-W. I've been on a hot sandwich kick lately and I was so glad I ordered the Malibu. It's probably my new favorite! I was hungier than usual and I'm glad I didn't order their small. It's one slice of bread folded in half. Pictured below is their medium Malibu. My son had their ham and cheese and like anywhere you can build your own. I don't recall the last time I spent over $10 for a sandwich, but this one was a little over $15. Their sandwiches are on the pricier side, so it's going to be a treat to have a hot sandwich here. I'll be back either in town or passing by on this highway.”
“wow, gigantic portions and taste is not bad stayed nearby in the colfax best western for an overnight to play at boreal only chinese restaurant within minutes drive ordered hot & sour soup "small" size which came in a styrofoam container the size of a big gulp from 7-11 ordered orange chicken, beef chow fun (ask the owner if you want something slightly "off the menu"), beef & broccoli feeds a family of 4 easily with leftovers to spare service was excellent for takeout and always a nice touch to accommodate menu tweaks (beef chow fun)”
“Pizza is the taist you expect for your craving, excellent service and quick service time. Nothing fancy, just great pizza going out the door. I am a 10 year customer. Best Salads to go or stay around”
“The Railhead Saloon located on Main St. In Colfax is a very new looking bar in a small town. There are pool tables to play on and a jukebox for music. There is live music as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible”
“This is a great place to go to great food and drinks ! A good to stop in and have a cold brew . I stopped there wile attending the Aviation school in colfax in 2010 a great experience for all .”
“I just went in to buy a pound of coffee. They didn't have a very good selection, only four or five types. Only one was decaf. There's a significantly better selection of coffee at the local Sierra Market. The barista who ground the beans for me was not very friendly, even though she wasn't busy and my order certainly was not challenging.Wheelchair accessibility: The store is wheelchair accessible.”
“Update (11-26-23) — put the 5 stars back, because the guy (manager maybe?) that gives super small portions (even if order a double) hasn’t been working — and it is one of the better Subways, especially if order through app for coupon codes.Update (11-11-23) — 1 star, newest photo:They quit adding double meat even if you pay for it. Only get proper portions when certain people are working.Previous review was 5 stars (first two photos):I’m not normally a huge Subway fan, but this is definitely one of the better locations. I recommend making it a double and you get better deals via app ordering!”
“Came here to here on 1/4 at nighttime and the worker gave me the best service I have probably ever had from a mcdonald's, didn't get the name but she had blonde hair and glasses. Very sweet! Also food was good and fries were pretty fresh. Looks like a clean mcdonald's also but didn't go inside.”
“Not a 5 Star restaurant... it's Taco Bell. But as far as Taco Bells go, this one is pretty great! I love the ordering kiosks and the ability to switch the menu to vegetarian! The food is made to perfection and the staff is efficient and friendly. This is the best Taco Bell I have ever been to.”
“They have expanded the menu since the last time I was here. I love new options. I had the tagliatelle bolognese which was excellent. Cocktails are always excellent. Staff and service were perfect.”
“Very cute and cozy local coffee shop! Great spot for a breakfast sandwich or lunch or coffee. People are welcome to grab a book from their free library or sit and knit or play games. Really lovely spot for a get together!”
“Delicious!!!!! We drive 1.5 hours and stock up. They freeze well. Best to order ahead and reserve what you want because they can sell out fast. Our favorites are the pulled pork and the pot roast but all are great.”
“I haven't been able to go to a bakery for years due to celiacs. I've never got sick from here everything is 100% gluten free but also 100% delicious. This place makes me happy! It's a nice treat!”
“This eatery is more than a bakery. We found it on yelp today and tried it for the first time. We ordered the chicken enchalada and fish taco meals. Both were very delicious and serving size was huge. I wanted to keep eating even when my belly was full! It comes with a basket of crispy tortilla chips, 1 red and 1 green sauce, a salad, Mexican rice, refried beans that stayed nice and hot in a perfect way thru the meal. The place is so cute, very clean and welcoming. Service is great and friendly. I wish we had discovered Cafe Rico sooner. It is now our new go-to for a wonderful and delicious Mexican meal. We highly recommend it. You will leave well fed and happy, happy!”
“Always excellent food, service, & atmosphere. Fresh juices and mimosas and coffees. I'm both my friend and I had egg scrambles that were delicious. No reservations taken so get there early and be prepared to wait a bit if mornings of Friday or Saturday.”
“I used to get my pies from the two famous places down in Auburn. Well...even with one of those two having new ownership, I can say that neither hold a candle to the pies from Happy Apple, and the Happy Apple pies are less expensive. My only beef is what I consider rather slow service, especially at the outside to-go window. This place has better food, too, than the Auburn pie place, at much lower prices.”
“My husband and I just ate at Pepe's Cafe celebrating my husband's birthday. we love this place. Pepe and his wife and staff were wonderful ! food amazing! Enjoy the beautiful mill street experience. Jennifer and Peter.”
“What a gem...this quaint taqueria has amazing food. 3 of us visited, ordering 3 different items and it was all delicious! This place will be a regular for us when we have a craving for anything "south of the border."”
“I tried the tacos. $3 each. Good price. Garnished with radish and carrot and some type of cooked pepper. came with the standard cilantro onion and hot sauce. The only thing striking me as odd, i asked about Asada and the guy said beef? sure we have meat from the cows head and neck, also tongue. I assumed chopped up steak? ok. I survived it! 4 tacos and a bottle of water. Cheers!”
“This small cafe is great for breakfast! I love the omelet that's topped with hollandaise sauce. The service is good too. They have a few outdoor tables that are nice when the weather is good.”
“I've been going here since i was a little kid, I'm 43 now. Hands down the best pasties I have ever had. They have never let me down. If you're around Grass Valley and you're looking for something delicious to fill you up without breaking your wallet, then look no further. A Must Have Everytime I'm back in town.”
“Good wood fired pizza. Had two pies:Pancetta, mushrooms, mozzarella, herb, and parmesan.Pizza special of the day:Pears, bacon caramelized onions, goat cheese.Thin crust, good ingredients, delicious. We we're both full & leftovers for dinner. One friendly & quick man running the whole show.We found easy parking at the curb around 2:30 on a Tuesday, slow time for them.”
