Upscale Mexican restaurant with reasonable prices. The service is fantastic and the food is very high quality. I happened upon this place by accident and am happy that I did. Excellent tequila selection too!
I will say this I came in with the total attitude I don’t like here, saw the menu didn’t agree! However the manager or owner was extremely polite and made us feel welcome out came the appetizer and wow the presentation was beautiful I came in with low expectations and they brought it home. The Atmosphere the presentation the food down to the music down to the lighting would give a 10 stars if I could you guys really won me over will be coming back. Feel I love with this place I would suggest
Okay so with almost over 2k reviews and 4 1/2 stars you know this place is going to be good...But I don't think you can actually get how good this place actually is until you eat here. First of all the service was INCREDIBLE, beyond the professionalism and attention to detail that you typically expect from places like 5 Crowns and Maestros (I'm serious our waitress was amazing). And the most importantly I suppose the food was absolutely beyond what we could have ever expected. We used to live in OC and eat at Javiers regularly, and this place blew Javiers out of the water. We have the tequila cured salmon appetizer and the fajitas for two. Highly recommend both and will be back soon to try more!!
Luna restaurant is an Americanized Mexican restaurant. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is not the place for you. For example, the meat for the Carne Asada is not flat meat (Ranchera). It is a steak of an unknown cut to me. The flavor was okay, but the cut was terrible. Add to insult, about an hour later, after dinner, I got the runs. My wife ordered the Mole Poblano enchilada plate and even though the taste was decent, it is not spicy at all. The Mole dish is sweet instead of having some spice to it. Us Mexicans/Latinos like spicy food and you won't find that at Luna.
Great atmosphere and vibe. First time trying this place. They have inside and outdoor dinning which is nice. Ordered the carne asada burrito ( really good flavor but disappointment in size of the burrito for $22.. kids size burrito was the same size as the regular burritos) , cazuela con queso fondido ( really good flavors) and pollito rebozado con mostaza ( chicken breast was moist, creamy spinach and mushroom was very good, didn't care for the roasted veggies that came with the dish) Chips and salsa was on point. Service was really good. It's pricey but I would try again. Very unique style of Mexican flavors.
Great Food/Good Service..Third time here. Unfortunately portion sizes seem to be getting smaller. Disappointing for the prices charged (especially with the fajitas platters for two). Needs consistency. in portion sizes please. Take home containers, my pet peeves everytime. - extremely cheap styrofoam ones, so be careful when you handle your boxes at home. Apparently Cisco (The General Manager according to him), wanted to know what good t/out containers would be and then proceeded to state that due to the pandemic, availability of better quality containers is quite difficult). This was because this time the container with my $45.00 food collapsed in the bag).
Great service and tasty food and good drinks.
Reservation system in the Yelp shows 30 min waiting, and when you call the restaurant, they say at least a 2 hour wait. They need to fix this issue, else will loose customers.
it may be a bit hard to find because it's sort of hidden in this maze of a parking lot behind the lowe's but if you come by for dinner or lunch, you won't be disappointed! i really enjoyed their chips and salsa for starters. we ordered the carne asada enchiladas and the green chicken enchiladas and they were both great tasting. we also ordered the appetizer of the fresh corn with goat cheese which is something new we hadn't really seen before and we both enjoyed the different taste. the customer service was great as well. we will be returning sometime soon.
Food was fantastic. I got the steak tacos and they were delicious. Tasted authentic and very well seasoned. Armando was great, always checked in on us. Definitely an amazing asset to this company. All the staff was very attentive and friendly.
Love the atmosphere of this place and the food is very good and service is always great. Only gave 3 stars because there were gnats flying around our table the whole time which made it very difficult to enjoy the meal when you're constantly swatting away bugs. Gross. Also they had very few vegetarian options on the menu, and even though the server offered several modifications that they could do on various items, none of them were very appealing. She offered fajita style veggies as a substitute to the meat but that's really just peppers & onions - not really much of a meal. How about some black bean tacos, chickpea tacos, jackfruit tacos, cauliflower tacos? Black bean burritos? As well prepared as their food is, they could do great things with those ingredients. Very disappointing. Our total was $71 bucks: 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, a small appetizer, a cup of soup ( who serves soup in a square bowl? You can't get it out of the corners), and two salads. As a meal, not worth $71 bucks. At those prices, they need to offer some better vegetarian/vegan options with a protein, not just salads & a quesadilla.
Love this place! The food and margaritas as SO good! Highly recommend the jalapeño margarita and green enchiladas! We have always had great service here. Definitely worth supporting this business.
Not a big fan of the main course meals. They make the best nacho appetizer I have had IE. Only 8 nacho pcs but the flavors are amazing. Hubby enjoys the Nachos and mix drinks. The Salads is good.
Luna is my wife and mine's favorite restaurant. We come here probably too much. Haha. Thank you Luna for always providing consistent great delicious food! Our favorites are the SOPES! To die for. The pollo con mostaza killer. And the fajitas are bomb! Also carne asada and pork shoulder. And then the butter cake. Love it!
