“I had mango habanero boneless chicken wings and a topo-chico. I think they have a perfect casual sports bar setup to pop in to for a quick bite or drink. I was by myself and sometimes walking into a sports bar would be intimidating to go to solo but not here. I sat at the bar and chatted with Andres who served me. (I hope I got his name right.) Great guy, great service and definitely worth a visit. I'll be back.“
“I've been going to Al's for 20+ years since I was a kid living in Huntington Beach. I make a point to stop by for pizza any time I am in town or passing by. Best Pizza I've had in California!Parking: There is a long parking lot and neighboring businesses with large parking lots.“
“One of the best staples of Costa Mesa in my opinion. I remember going here ever since a little girl, the quality & service has stayed the same. I went for lunch yesterday with my mother, and it was such a pleasant experience. Our waitress, although I did not get her name, had a great personality. I ordered the giant slice and salad and my mother got Lasagna. Delicious as always, and we had plenty to take home and have for lunch today. Long live Pizza d’oro!!Vegetarian options: I am vegetarian. There are all kinds of vegetarian options“
“The food here is always amazing! Best Napolitano style pizza we've found outside of Napoli! The pastas and the gnocchi are amazing too. Wow! We crave it once a month minimum. The staff are so sweet and welcoming and always make us feel so welcome too!“
“I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.“
“After living in Italy for a couple years and traveling back frequently, I am extremely picky about Italian restaurants. This place completely surprised me. The food was amazing. You can tell the chef takes pride in the little details. I will make the trip back from Utah just to have the rosemary-lemon panna cotta again. Must try!!“
“Where do I begin?? I have never experienced such authenticity, when it comes to Italian food. My server Valentina is always so efficient with her service and her smile and beauty??? Wow!!! Molto Bene!! Ciao for now Trenta. Will be back very “
“One of kind pizza! At least for Costa Mesa. Deep dish Chicago style is one you must experience. Thick but almost croissant like crust piled high with toppings. Tomato sauce was tangy and delicious. Full of meet and cheese. The 14" was enough to feed 5 people. One slice pretty much filled most of us up.“
“Off the charts amazing. This food was worth the wait. You know when you order and in this day and age you expect everything immediately. If it takes more than 10 mins, you throw a little fit. This is worth the wait. I would wait forever. This pasta is like ambrosia from the heavens. The bread and pesto precursor is perfect and addictive. However, there has never been such incredible pasta. I cherish my burps today because they remind me of the dinner last night. Chicken was hands down most flavorful and juicy we’ve ever had. We had to circle around the block because we missed the entrance which is easily overlooked by the dozens of little entrances adjacent. You can tell it’s a family atmosphere. You get old world vibes. We’re just sad they only do gnocchi once a month! We’ll be back 5/29!“
“We decided to have empanadas to take home and have dinner onsite. For our takeout order we have 2 regular beef, 2 sweet beef and 2 Arab. And for dine in we order pizza and chicken Milanese with fries. Since everything is made to order we waited for our food to be made. When we finally got our order, both orders tasted freshI particularly liked the pizza, we had one which has some onions and cheese topping, this was really surprisingly good. The crust was tasty. Funny thing, side comment, I started tearing up, not sure why, the lovely owner said they were cutting a big amount of onions, which surprised me as I had the reaction as if I'm the one slicing onions. Well she was right, once I stepped out, everything cleared up for me. The owner was a lovely woman originally from Buenos Aires, she made me feel as if I'm visiting her home and she's welcoming and warm. For the empanadas, they were delicious and if you're reading this review, I recommend you go and visit La Farola and the delicious empanada awaits.“
“Great food, great service, good atmosphereThe sandwiches are amazing - my husband loves the Italian sub - perfectly balanced meats & veggies, with just the right amount of juice - no soggy bread here!Bolognese spaghetti is great too - add meatballs or sausage and you're set!“
“Have to say I'm a novice at Italian cuisine (other than Neapolitan pizzas--which I'm learning to make at home on the Ooni, but that's another story). We ordered spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the lasagna. All were delicious! Homemade taste with great portions! Service was wondering as well... We asked for outdoor seating as we brought the dog and they accommodated with their patio seating even though it was super cold outside. We were fine (no heater, but we're used to it)... And grateful for the outdoor seating:). Will come back and try other dishes!“
“We had an incredible meal last night. The authentic flavors and atmosphere were amazing. The kind of meal when you wake up still thinking about your delicious food!I had the soup, garlic bread and spaghetti special and a Tomato Pie think crust pizza!!!! That was out of this world! I'm going back for lunch and so happy to have this wonderful restaurant in our neighborhood. The service was great and we love this authentic Italian eatery right here in Eastside Costa Mesa!“
“I applaud Linda for standing up for herself in the recent post. The review that was based solely on an almost 5 year Restaurant Impossible episode should not be a basis to rate an establishment!!! I'm sure my review will be removed. Hopefully Google will also remove that review as well!! Best of luck Linda and enjoy your time with family, you deserve it!!!“
“We have come here several times to have drinks and appetizers at the bar. Quick and friendly service, happy hour is M-F from 3pm to 5pm with signature cocktails being $10. Loved their king pao brussel sprouts with a not too spicy drizzle and peanuts. The calamari is so crispy and crunchy with a ton of diced peppers, jalapeños and pepperocinis. Comes with a great dipping sauce. Had the Amelia drink with vodka, super refreshing.“
“It’s located in a great spot in the mall. The staff were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was good.We tried bruschetta and Wiseman salad for appetizers and those were good choices. We had wonderful beef ravioli and one of the pizzas which I can’t remember the name but it was delicious. Will back to try the other menu items.“
“Simple casual comfortable neighborhood setting. All employees were friendly and helpful. All customers around us were relaxed and enjoying themselves. Antipasto salad and pizza were delicious. We are new to the area. We will definitely be back.“
“2nd time here at this location. Last time the boneless garlic ginger wings and the honey bear pizza were delicious. The vibe here is up beat and with local sports. This time I got a vegetarian chopped salad with salami and pepperoni and a Cabernet. Service and food were great again! I Think I have a new spot to come hangout at! There’s a speak easy in the back too! Come see and try for yourselves!! You won’t regret it.“
“An oasis of Italian style in Los Angeles, positioned in a non-trivial context, with the possibility of shaded outdoor seating but away from traffic and confusion. All the main ingredients, starting from the coffee, are original Italian, cooked and served by the Bolognese owner and his family with passion and professionalism. We enjoyed a simple but very tasty breakfast. Convenient free parking nearby. Advised.“
“Thanks to Chef Josef for his creativity and passion for crafting a high quality meal option for my wife who has severe food allergies. In many restaurants, she is left to pick some tasteless option, so we really appreciate Chef Joseph and can say that it’s because of him that we now come back over and over again.Dietary restrictions: Amazing support from Chef Josef on the severe food allergies we have to cater for when we go out.“
