Great pastries, cake, buns, and breads available for purchase. Bae and I normally swing by here on the weekends to pick up a few savory and sweet items for lunch. It's pretty easy to just pick and choose what you want. They have some staples that are always there, and they'll also have more seasonal items when available (notably lots of mooncake options during mid autumn festival). When I think about what best exemplifies my taste of childhood, I think of Sheng Kee. I always loved their pastries as a kid, and going to Marina Food was always made more exciting when my parents would let me pick out one to take home for breakfast the next morning (usually it ended up being the coconut cream pastry). Located inside the grocery store. Not a bad spot to pick up some pastries after grabbing groceries. Your run-of-the-mill Chinese bakery spot (not a bad thing!). Decent selection of Chinese and western baked goods. They do cakes as well!
