“Was taken to lunch here by a older member of Delano community. It looks and feels like a pro shop sandwich shop but is supposed to be a "fancy" place?Well the service was excellent and the food was just ok but it was a decent experience and I'd go again if I were in Delano and didn't have other options...but very good service for sure! Four!!“
“Another day on my taco quest led me to Taqueria Janitzio, not to be confused with the Carniceria next to it as they are both from the same owner. As I walk in I finally feel a hint of an AC unit, really cool and small place with 4-5 tables. As I ordered I was greeted by Mayra, and we talked about the menu. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and asked me about my past experiences in Mexican restaurants. She assured me today would be a great experience. I ordered 4 tacos, 1 tripa, 1 al pastor, 1 buche, and 1 cabeza. To my surprise Mayra made sure my taco de tripas was just the way I like them....a little fried but with chew and softness as opposed to the burnt so called tripas in other places. She also explained why I couldn't get my favorite lengua taco (which had to do with market price of tongue) and to my surprise, I did not miss the lengua taco bc the buche taco was a good or even better. It was soft and chewy with beefy flavor in the back of the palate. The Al Pastor was chunky, which was something that caught me by surprise but in a good way. The meat was tender and the spices and citrusy flavor came through. I'm sure to be back to try something new on the menu, or just to say hi to the ladies at the restaurant. Especial thanks to Maura because she was very welcoming and carried a fun food conversation with me during my visit.“
“Outside seating option only (shaded). They have many food options. I have tried and recommend their shrimp tacos, ceviche tostadas, and chorizo/bacon burritos (you can choose between potatoes and cheese or rice and beans with a meat). Their tamales were ok. Not much meat on them but the flavor was good. I love that they give chips, salsa, and a grilled chile with all their dishes.“
“We went to a restaurant and it was closed so we walked down the block and we stumbled upon this place and decided to try it. It has an A rating. The portions were generous and food was tasty. Only one thing is that their menu doesn't have prices which is strange if you're on a budget. Someone else paid for all the food so I can't compare it to other places.“
“Got the carnitas tacos in handmade torts. The carnitas tacos were ok, they came with onions and cilantro, The tortillas were pretty good. Grilled onions, jalapeños and a pretty tasty red salsa were on the side.I washed 'em down with an agua de jamaica. It was really good.Overall a decent meal.“
“Many people have their own opinion, they can be drastic on the negative side, I don't eat that frequently, may be I eat once a Month but if it was possible I would eat more times than that. My favorite dish it's camarones a la diabla, my wife's are camarones al mojo de ajo they are prepared so “
“Very tasty food that's fresh. I ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla with just the meat, cheese, and onions. It was so good I went back for seconds. The salsa is really spicy but tasty. Glad I made a pit stop here on my way from Fresno to LA. I'll be back.“

“The food is delicious, but the variety is where Rufy’s shines, and shines bright. They have anything you’re in the mood for from the norm like tacos and burritos, all the way to crazy like Takis or Doritos-infused dishes and everything in between. Their horchata is bangin’ and the churro sundae is fire too.“
“We stopped by passing thru on a trip -- saw they were known for crispy tacos on Yelp and that sounded so good so we stopped and ordered 3 apiece -- shredded beef, lettuce, cheese, and hot sauce. They were incredibly good -- crispy but not greasy -- really delicious -- but that hot sauce -- y'all. If you can't handle heat tell them to hold it - it was SPICY! My nose was running and eyes watered -- I can usually handle some heat but even my husband who definitely can handle heat said it was spicy! So just a beware -- those tacos are excellent but the hot sauce is HOT -- and it comes standard on the tacos! The service was great too -- nice little place!“
“Wanted to write a review before I forgot, walked in close to 9ish desperate for something familiar to eat after being stuck in the car for several hours. We thought about going to the grocery first but decided to stop here ( what a good decision that was) staff was nice and the food was excellent! Hope that we can stop by on our way back from our trip.“
“Hands down the best taco truck in Bakersfield!! These tacos are as authentic as it gets, hand made tortillas and guacamole in every taco?!? Yes, you heard it right, no extra charge, it's simply a staple just like traditional Tijuana style Tacos.I am obsessed with their Asada however, they do have all other options including pastor, chorizo etc. Their horchata is also to die for! Believe me you will find yourself coming back every chance you get! Service is quick and you will find one table with five chairs if wish to eat there. You will find them on the corner of Calloway and Seven Standard, they are open everyday expect Tuesdays 4:30pm -11:00pm. Bring cash, you will not regret it!“
“Good tacos for cheap. A good spot to hit up for those late night cravings. I like the tacos, burritos and tortas. The asada and tripas are good for me. Had the cabeza and it wasn't as good as other places I've had them. The Al pastor was ok. I suggest to just stick to the asada.“
“Jenny's cafe is located in Delano and a great place to eat. The service was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the free chips and salsa to start the meal. The food was delicious - I ordered the chille relleno plate with corn tortillas and on the side I ordered a carne asada taco. The chille relleno was my favorite thing, and it came With rice and beans. The ambiance as nice too. The dining area was clean and spacious. The decorations were cool too. Thanks Jenny's cafe for the experience!“
“If you're a Delano Native then you must of heard about La Barca's famous tortas. Either you heard about it from the original spot in Earlimart which most people will claim to be the best I'm still happy that there's one closer. La Barca's asada torta is well known within the community. Always usually consistent every time I go. Although they may be known for their tortas, they also have one of the best fish tacos around. I was actually surprised. If you're in town I would highly recommend those 2 options.“
“Nice gem in the rough. Not a traditional mexican restaurant but something unique. I spent a couple minutes thinking about what I would order and was really happy with the steak burrito and chile relleno. Both were super tasty. The burrito was a little sparse but the meat and tortilla were just right. The relleno was above average and I'd love to have that again.“
“My husband and I stop here to pick up a breakfast burrito every time we’re headed to work on one of our rentals. The food is amazing, the ladies are very friendly and if you call in your order the wait time is quick. We love coming back every time.“
“When they say this place is a hole in the wall, it really is a hole in the wall! Located in the Gasco on County Line Rd. I wouldn't have ever thought about stopping by here until my coworkers brought me some of their shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were huge! And everything tasted fresh. I've also had the octopus there and no complaints. They provide tostadas/crackers with your order and I do like that there are only a limited number of items on the menu which means they really focus on what they're serving you-especially important when dealing with fresh food! You can also order over the phone ahead of time if you're on a time crunch.“
“There are many Mexican restaurants here in Delano, but this has to be our go to. The food is always delicious and taste homemade. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Great place to eat with your family when you want something quick and almost as if you're eating at grandma's.“
“First time being in the restaurant. Usually go to the food truck when it was first starting business and tried the Barbacoa Ramen 10/10 really good. Would go here again. Great for groups after a day out. Friendly service when ordering. Asada Nachos is bussin' !“
“The best place. My son and I stopped here during a road trip to Vegas and it was the perfect choice. Our server Maritza was incredibly kind and attentive, the food was amazing, and ambiance so welcoming. I’d come back for the bar in the back too. Highly recommend.Parking: Street parking easyKid-friendliness: Room and friendliness for kids“
