“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. Our daughter was also able to order chicken nuggets and fries as well. We appreciate these small businesses opposed to all the BIG corporations who usually say no to us asking for food. Starting from Shae the sweet waitress she was so kind and lovely and she spoiled us from the moment we entered the restaurant. Then the cook who’s the owner, they kept sending us samples from their home made savory food. Shae, we loved your attention we are coming back for sure many times! “I went with my friends to get breakfast. We had a good time and enjoyed the food. I love waffles and the one I had here was really good. I also loved the orange juice. It tasted freshly squished. My friend accidentally ordered something thinking it was one way but it turned out to be a different thing and they nicely replaced it. I will come back here. “I brought the family for lunch to eat before going to the movies. I'd give 10 STARS if it was possible! Sublime experience all the way around. It was my wife's first time, but Steven was as patient and helpful as possible with our questions. We had regular Buffalo Wings, Dragon, Tai Chile and Jamaican Jerk. All 4 flavors were delicious. “Cute brunch spot in Downey at the Stonewood Mall. Parking is easy and you can check in ahead of time on the Yelp app to save your spot in line. Came on a Saturday so there was definitely a wait but we were seated sooner than expected. I had the Santa Barbara (smoked salmon) Benedict and my friend had the smoked salmon cucumber avocado toast. We both enjoyed our meals with a side of potatoes- I got the breakfast potatoes (not too dry or salty as at other places) and my friend got the hash brown chips (on the crunchy side, no soft potato center- it is supposed to be a cross between hash browns, fries and potato chips). We also had a side of strawberries with whipped cream for a mini dessert. They had steak and chilaquiles options on the brunch menu I would love to try next time! If you like sweeter brunch there are pancake and french toast varieties as well. I could definitely smell the cinnamon in the air from neighboring tables that ordered sweet brunch! Yum! Also a lot of brunchy cocktails and flights - wasn't feeling boozy brunch when I first checked this spot out but you bet I'll be back to give those cute drinks a try!“
