I would've given this place at least 4 stars a few years ago, in pre- pandemic times. They were my go to for Mexican food. Sadly this is no longer the case.I even understood and obliged when their prices skyrocketed which seemingly happened overnight. Used to be great, now the food is subpar. There's so many amazing Taco shops in San Diego we've started going other places because Valerio's prices have become so steep. I understand inflation, but they're overpriced even compared to surrounding shops. Bummed because we used to love this spot. Albert's is worth the drive and non drive thru for the service and food. Go there instead!
