“The food was awesome. Portions are generous. We had their black garlic ramen, bbq beef+chicken katsu, tuna poke bow, chicken karage...Will go back again to try more items on their menu.”
“Wonderful. This is one of the best Indian / Pakistani restaurants in the area, and I'm including Berkeley in that assessment. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is a great family run spot that I plan to visit again.”
“This place good than a mug, they give you a lot of food for half the price of the places around. They talk to you like you been there before and if you're returning they remember you. Always recommend Sam's dog house as a local and would make this stop if I was coming from outside. 10/10 service and a great aura.”
“A Great place to enjoy good drinks and great people.Darts & pool available.Sports games on many TVs.Local business with awesome owners & hosts / bartenders.A good time can be had by all.Outside patio for more space, food trucks visit often for munching out.”
“My experiences at Cafe Soleil have been amazing wholesome times with my family. The food was great, service on point as well as the overall energy. I confidently recommend this establishment. You’ll feel at home right away.”
“The butter chicken, rice, and garlic naan were super delicious. I had butter chicken at another place recently and I have to say Paradise is much thicker and more flavorful.Thank you to the chef!”
“This is a Mexican restaurant Located at el Sobrante and this environment is very clean and the employees are very nice and they have a good amount of pictures inside of their restaurant. The bathroom is also clean and the tables are nice wooden finish. They have a note saying that to throw your trash away after you eat they also have outdoor tables with plants around they also have a seat. that looks really good and they have machines that give out candies and stuff so their holding is really decorated. Their chairs are also good. They have lights around the building. The food is also very good. They keep it hot and they give you numbers which they call out and you go get, your food which is little they also give you small packets of chips and salsa, but for more you have to pay extra salsa, they have green, red and mango and chunky. They all are good. So definitely recommend this place.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options”
“Highly recommend! They use high quality ingredients and have a very diverse menu - I really appreciated the variety of protein options along with choosing your spice level. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza and it was delicious (spicy, not greasy, well made)! The staff are also very nice and personable - even in the short time I was there for a pickup, they were very accommodating. Would recommend this to anyone who’s interested in fusion pizzaKid-friendliness: Plenty of seating for large parties”
“Great options love the variety. Vegan friendly. Really enjoy the food.Vegetarian options: Not only vegetarian but vegan. You can pretty much ask to leave me at or egg out of any dish. They are knowledgeable about what is not vegan.”
“Don't let the old school facade deter you. This place has a giant 4 screen video jukebox, several large flat screens to check sports, a covered smoking patio and a friendly vibe. Good service, fun patrons, strong/affordable drinks, and a long bar with plenty of seats. They even have a deejay on some nights. Grown folks' playground!Parking: Roughly 20 available spaces but the place is on San Pablo with street parking nearby.”
“Been here a few times, and each time the food has been great. I've tried their beef banh mi, egg rolls, spring rolls, calamari, chicken wings bun Bo hue and of course their pho. All have been pretty good, especially considering this is the ONLY local pho place that doesn't close super early when you need something warm and comforting after work. Notable highlights from the food- I must say, I've sampled some bun Bo hue all over the local area and this place is the best I've had without having to go all the way to Oakland. And even then, it's been just as good as some of the "famous" spots for bun Bo hue. The pho is always piping hot and they don't skimp on the meat!! They seem to hold the bowls in some kind of clay holder that keeps the soup warmer longer, which was a nice touch I've never experienced in a Vietnamese restaurant. Service, this is definitely a family restaurant of sorts and the waitresses/waiters are a little older and may need to be graced with some patience when you want to get their attention. But once you have it they're the absolute sweetest! Very kind and welcoming crew. The restaurant itself is nice and spacious with a few tvs to keep a single patron company while they wait for their meal, which never takes too long. All in all, this is a great stop to make when you don't want to travel too far for some good comforting food. I definitely plan on being a regular here!”
“Very delicious! I got the chicken and mixed vegetables with steamed rice. Their lunch special came with a corn soup, which was also tasty and a nice way to start the meal. I liked the sauce on the chicken and vegetables a lot. Rice just needed soy sauce. Nice and large portions. Also came with fried wontons and sweet and sour sauce. My husband liked the spicy orange chicken but didn’t find it spicy. We shared the Chinese chicken salad as well. Even their tea was good! Would happily come back.Parking: Shared lot with laundromat and liquor store, felt safe too.Kid-friendliness: Noticed a high chair.”
“New owners are awesome! Food is great and service is stellar! Tried the limited time Korean corn dogs and loved them! Can't wait to see if the new owners incorporate more Korean flare on the menu!??”
“A location that has stayed in business for years. I recall coming here as a kid for my favorite, sesame chicken. They are still one of the best Chinese spots around the area. I prefer this location over the Richmond and El Cerrito locations. Love their Walnut Prawns and Mongolian beef, must be ordered from the kitchen to be freshly prepared.”
“Gosh all the food here is good including the Thai Ice Tea, their Phos soups is one the best in the Bay area.It gets busy but service is fast and friendly.Try it you'll like it.”
