While visiting our daughter in Oakland, we heard about Arizmendi’s Bakery & Pizzeria and had walked by on a Tuesday, but unfortunately for us they were closed. They are open Wednesday through Sundays! The first time I went into their store it was early in the morning and I almost passed out from the aroma of their breads. Delicious pastries made fresh every morning, sourdough bread and savory items made with the same sourdough like their cheese rolls or the X-rolls which are cheese rolls with a veggie(s) that changes throughout the week. The breads also rotate throughout the week, my favorite are the potato bread and the olive sourdough.
