The sushi is usually pretty good but I'm regularly disappointed with the service. They don't check on drinks often and it takes a lifetime to get your bill.

I walked into the restaurant, excited to eat sushi. I paid for my meal and sat down eagerly to eat. While waiting for my food, I noticed a chef get up from eating his meal, licking his fingers, rubbing his face, and then preparing my sushi. He didn't wash his hands after eating, rubbing his face, and licking his fingers. Instead, he put on gloves with his licked fingers and started to grab sushi in preparation. He also grabbed food and handed it to the kitchen. Noticing the lack of cleanliness on the sushi table, I got up and respectfully approached the person I paid and advised him how I noticed the chef did not follow health protocols. I requested a refund. He then said they can't control what the owner does, as I recognized a very low score on certain review sites. There was a 3.0 rating on one site that my family likes. I was so excited to eat, even asking my family if they wanted me to bring anything home. But they noticed the 3-star reviews, which led me to tell them that I was actually in the process of requesting a full refund for my bowl and sushi special because the chef who was preparing the sushi was dirty. Therefore, I highly recommend people to watch the chefs before they return to prepare food, as my experience with the sushi chef was that he did not follow San Bernardino County health rules. There was a female, respectfully stating, as I do not recall her name, who initially told me they weren't going to refund me for the bowl because she would have to explain later to her owner why she was doing it. I advised her that if one part of the kitchen is dirty, the other part is dirty too. I told her that I saw the sushi chef hand sushi to the kitchen with his dirty fingers and brought out my camera because I wanted to document how poor her customer service became. The owner needs to retrain employees on cleanliness and washing their hands. It's sad because I know it's a good restaurant, but the employees need reminders about customer service and following health standards. Until then I won’t return.

I've been to Omokase plenty of times when i use to live in Fontana. It has definitely been a few years since I've been back, but I'm never disappointed. I came inside to order because online order showed $2 more than it was to order at the restaurant. I ordered the Baked Lobster Roll (CaliforniaRoll with Longostino Lobster, baked) & the Heart Attack (Cream Cheese & Tuna stuffed Jalapeno, fried and halved). My bill was $37 total, (expensive for 2items in my opinion).I forgot they put the fried crunchy tempura pieces on top,(A LOT OF IT) so i forgot to tell them "no crunchy stuff" but i just pushed it to the side. The roll was still very good. I noticed they had my sauces on the side now instead of on top. Would be great to get at least 2 of each because just one of each seemed very little. My roll was pretty dry still. Also when its freshly ordered, the California roll is hot (from being baked) so it doesnt hold it form well. Keep that in mind.The Heart Attack was good too. The "crust/tempura" was soft. Would be great if it was crunchy. But it was still good. Overall, service was good. They said 15min wait, and i definitely waited 15mins. It wasn't busy at all. I came in Friday after thanksgiving and there was only 1 family seated. More people came in after i ordered but i guess i beat the little rush that came in. Again good food, good service, and nice staff. Thanks!

Shif leader in charge took my order incorrectly. She did not accept that it was her fault. Instead, she tread me with a bad, bad attitude ?. Denide to exchange the food or sell me a new roll.?‍♂️Very Poor customer service.

We've been coming here for years and over the years. It's been a hit-and-miss. Today it was really good, the sushi was very fresh the service was on point. It seems like they're trying to get it together. I just don't like all of the supplies everywhere it looks overcrowded. The really should store their supplies out of view if the customer.

Updated reviewTook two stars because on a recent visit one of our dishes came out 20 minutes after everyone else's. We all had to sit around waiting to eat, even after asking several times. Also, we were a party of 5 with a five month old baby and they charged us as a party of six and tacked on an automatic tip. Lol baby doesn't even eat solid foods yet.
