“My kids and I love Sushi Plus! We found them about 4 years ago, not sure when they had opened but it was a new hidden spot for us, (now I don’t think it’s as hidden, but happy to see them busy). The garlic edamame is ? and all their rolls are delicious. And the staff are awesome, I was in there few days ago picking up an order and it had been awhile since we’ve gone to eat there (had to cut back on spending money on food) but I love that they remember me andand ask about my kids, that just shows howpersonable they are with their customers. “Nice meat quality. Thin cuts. Love their Prime grade beef. Self serve vegetable/seafood island lots of choices. Most important to mention is their meat quality does not downgraded lower after my 2nd or more order. Highly recommend this Shabu-shabu restaurant. Leaving with a very full and satisfied experience.“
“Prices are very reasonable for such high quality rolls. I was introduced to this place from my aunt and uncle who go regularly and definitely won’t stop going myself.Best Rolls?? drinks? Pretty much everything on their menu. TOP 4 ROLLS HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING:1. Chidori Roll2. Spicy dragon Roll3. Ghost Roll4. Rainbow RollGet there early right when they open to claim a table! They fill up quick and so so SO GLAD they do! The more business the better.“
“A hidden gem! Brings the politeness of japanese culture to America! You need to be patient when ordering and waiting for the food, as they are often very busy. One item is enough for a person, don’t order too much! (We ended up having to pack half of our food for takeout) and price is very cheap for such fresh fish.“
“My absolute favorite spot for a comforting and home-cooked meal. Not only is their food amazing, but their service is unmatched. The lady that works there always offers water despite being a grab-and-go place, and she always has a smile on her face. The chicken is so juicy and tender, and it's all the more fun to eat with the side dishes. The presentation is unmatched. You can feel all the time and effort the owner puts into each dish. If I could eat here everyday, I would. My only complaint is that they need to extend their hours! I used to drop by after getting out of school, but with a new schedule, I've found it difficult to find time nowadays. Oftentimes, they're only open for lunch hours.“
“This place is awesome!! 5 stars wagyu beef. High quality 5 starts service. The servers here are really nice and friendly. They checked on us very often to make sure we had a good meal. They even got us a hot tea at the end after 3 of us killed a big bottle of sake“
“Meat quality is so damn delicious! The Short rib and skirt steak were our faves, we also tried the A5 wagyu and it was melt in your mouth delicious as well. Don't skip on the cartilage and sausage, if you're looking for great pairings to go with your beer. The Yukhae (raw beef dish) was super delicious and I'm not a raw beef person in general. I would definitely order that again though. Get here early, about 15min before they open to avoid the lines. It's a small restaurant with mostly 4-tops , I saw maybe 1 table that could accommodate a party of 8-10 max, so if you have a larger party be prepared to sit separately. The service is great, they were on point with water refills and checking to see if we wanted to order any additional items. They have a weekday special for $67 where you can try 2 of our favorite meats + their miso chicken thigh, and the veggies it comes with are minimal (1pc pumpkin, couple pieces of bell pepper, and a slice of carrot). I heard their yookaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup) was good but we didn't try it this time. Also, don't sleep on their black sesame and yuzu ice cream!“
“Great food. Excellent staff! We were traveling in the area and stopped in. Never heard of Shabu, but the staff was so kind to explain the whole process. Lots of different options. Great for families with different tastes. Definitely recommend!“
“Sushi was so bomb. Fair warning, if you are looking for a traditional sushi experience where the fish quality is the star of the show, this is not it. Not to say the food is not fresh, but most of the dishes are lathered in sauce and creamy ingredients, and we like in that way. We liked all the sushi we had, so just go with what you think is your favorite ingredients. I like that our waitress tells us the name of all the sushi that came out.“
“The Satoshi Sushi restaurant at 9039 Garfield and Magnolia has a convenient location. The food is delicious and diverse, with the distinctive flavors of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is very chill and comfortable,The staff is friendly and professional, and being treated to extra food is a big plus for the overall experience.“
“We have been coming to KH for years, decades! The quality and authenticity of yakitori is just legit. All parts of the chicken is used and grill to perfection. Try them all, maybe in a few visits to you will be able to taste all the skewers! you will not be disappointed. When you enter KH, you are transported into the land of Japan and you will enjoy this ride so much, you might plan your next trip to the actual country of Japan. Enjoy this little trip to one of the best izakaya in the OC.“
“You will feel like going to a small ramen shop in Japan. The broth is flavourful and not salty like many other ramen restaurants. They have lunch specials with a combo of hakata ramen and a side dish, which is a good deal. The staff was friendly, and service was quick.“
“If you are looking for a more clean and flavorful broth for ramen, this is the place. Highly recommend this place because of their fresh ramen, great service, reasonable pricing, great for family setting, and creative flavors. Hands down best ramen place in OC.“
“Yes yes yes yes! I used to come here years ago, more for ramen. I really didn't get into yakitori til recently, but my boyfriend and I wanted to give it a shot. There are two sides, ramen side and yakitori side. We were seated at the bar, so we were not able to order ramen there. If we wanted ramen, we had to move, which we were considering given that it was a cold, windy and rainy day. But we opted to stick to where we were at. Inside has plenty of seating, with one area seeming to be more traditional tatami like style where you remove your shoes and sit criss-coss on a cushion. It was a well suited environment. Nice change from everywhere being more modernized. The service was great, it wasn't too busy yet, so they were very attentive and helped us choose some items. We tried the chicken thigh, pork belly, 3 kinds of beef, bacon wrapped tomato and enoki, scallop and had the rib eye. Also had an order for the gyoza. They were small, so order came in 10 or 12 pieces. So juicy! All the yakitori was delicious, great quality and some had some great dipping sauces. The garlic one was the best! This place can add up as the skewers are smaller portions, but I thought it was perfect! We can't wait to go back!“
“The service here was really nice, the food was nothing amazing but it was what I was expecting so I was satisfied with it nonetheless. I had the server Antoinette and she was very helpful and often came by to check on our table to ask for water or if we needed anything else. She was very well mannered and spoke clearly without having to take time to think about her answers to the questions we had for her. Overall the food was a 4/5 but the service made it a 5/5“
“Great food, service is friendly but slow, atmosphere is so so. Great value and absolutely love this spot. Food is good and fair value. I highly recommend this place. We’ve been coming here for year and love it.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs.Parking: Huge shopping center parking.“
“Definitely a MUST TRY for hand roll lovers!!! Everything we tried was SO good! We got the 7 roll set and it was yummy. Also tried their uni handroll, and salmon and toro maki rolls, crispy tuna, garlic edamame, and miso soup and washed it all down with some ube beer. Everything was perfect. The service was also exceptional. Great service from Annie who can sell ice to Eskimos. Really sweet waitress. The hand roll chef was so on top of it like a boss. Handled himself very well while serving a whole bar! Chatted with the manager Kevin for a bit and he was also nice to talk to and shared some good info about all of the sister restaurants in the area. We will be back!“
