“My kids and I love Sushi Plus! We found them about 4 years ago, not sure when they had opened but it was a new hidden spot for us, (now I don’t think it’s as hidden, but happy to see them busy). The garlic edamame is ? and all their rolls are delicious. And the staff are awesome, I was in there few days ago picking up an order and it had been awhile since we’ve gone to eat there (had to cut back on spending money on food) but I love that they remember me andand ask about my kids, that just shows howpersonable they are with their customers. “A hidden gem! Brings the politeness of japanese culture to America! You need to be patient when ordering and waiting for the food, as they are often very busy. One item is enough for a person, don’t order too much! (We ended up having to pack half of our food for takeout) and price is very cheap for such fresh fish.“
“Prices are very reasonable for such high quality rolls. I was introduced to this place from my aunt and uncle who go regularly and definitely won’t stop going myself.Best Rolls?? drinks? Pretty much everything on their menu. TOP 4 ROLLS HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING:1. Chidori Roll2. Spicy dragon Roll3. Ghost Roll4. Rainbow RollGet there early right when they open to claim a table! They fill up quick and so so SO GLAD they do! The more business the better.“
“We were amazed to find this gem near us. There’s no sign out front, and it’s omakase only with two options, at least the night we went. The uni was from Santa Barbara and one fish was from Spain, otherwise all the fish was from Japan. I believe the server said the fish from Japan comes to their restaurant within 2 days of being caught there, and all was very flavorful and seemed very fresh. The toro was as good and maybe even better than the toro we had when we actually were in Japan last year. There was a nice selection of fish overall, with equally nice presentations and full explanations with each serving. All the dishes were delicious. Even the soups were immaculate and complex. The sake selection was good. We fully plan on coming back with friends.“
“Sushi was so bomb. Fair warning, if you are looking for a traditional sushi experience where the fish quality is the star of the show, this is not it. Not to say the food is not fresh, but most of the dishes are lathered in sauce and creamy ingredients, and we like in that way. We liked all the sushi we had, so just go with what you think is your favorite ingredients. I like that our waitress tells us the name of all the sushi that came out.“
“The Satoshi Sushi restaurant at 9039 Garfield and Magnolia has a convenient location. The food is delicious and diverse, with the distinctive flavors of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is very chill and comfortable,The staff is friendly and professional, and being treated to extra food is a big plus for the overall experience.“
“We have been coming to KH for years, decades! The quality and authenticity of yakitori is just legit. All parts of the chicken is used and grill to perfection. Try them all, maybe in a few visits to you will be able to taste all the skewers! you will not be disappointed. When you enter KH, you are transported into the land of Japan and you will enjoy this ride so much, you might plan your next trip to the actual country of Japan. Enjoy this little trip to one of the best izakaya in the OC.“
“The service here was really nice, the food was nothing amazing but it was what I was expecting so I was satisfied with it nonetheless. I had the server Antoinette and she was very helpful and often came by to check on our table to ask for water or if we needed anything else. She was very well mannered and spoke clearly without having to take time to think about her answers to the questions we had for her. Overall the food was a 4/5 but the service made it a 5/5“
“If you are looking for a more clean and flavorful broth for ramen, this is the place. Highly recommend this place because of their fresh ramen, great service, reasonable pricing, great for family setting, and creative flavors. Hands down best ramen place in OC.“
“I went to this place for dinner with few of my office friends. I already like thai food and had been to really good thai restaurants. This restaurant is one of the best I have tried. Everything from apetizers to curry to rice was delicious.Fried garlic fish, garlic shrimp, crab fried rice, panang curry were tasty.Service, ambiance and pricing was also good.If you are in the area and crave thai food, i would strongly recommend.“
“Food was good, but service was slow. It was Christmas Day 2023 and eten I was there with my group the restaurant was slow. It got busy toward 5 pm and the service slowed down. Food was good but not exceptional. I have had better, but I will return to Fortune Cookies Restaurant in the future.“
“Great food, service is friendly but slow, atmosphere is so so. Great value and absolutely love this spot. Food is good and fair value. I highly recommend this place. We’ve been coming here for year and love it.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs.Parking: Huge shopping center parking.“
“I really like the spin on fusion and Poke at this restaurant. The fish is really fresh and tasty. Serving are generous. Poke burritos are easy to gift and people love then. For sure try it again. Can easily see ut from Brookhurst street on the north west side.“
“Definitely a MUST TRY for hand roll lovers!!! Everything we tried was SO good! We got the 7 roll set and it was yummy. Also tried their uni handroll, and salmon and toro maki rolls, crispy tuna, garlic edamame, and miso soup and washed it all down with some ube beer. Everything was perfect. The service was also exceptional. Great service from Annie who can sell ice to Eskimos. Really sweet waitress. The hand roll chef was so on top of it like a boss. Handled himself very well while serving a whole bar! Chatted with the manager Kevin for a bit and he was also nice to talk to and shared some good info about all of the sister restaurants in the area. We will be back!“
