The tamales have gone downhill. The amount of masa used is ridiculous. I paid nearly $80 for a pretty big order and was unfortunately disappointed. Probably won't be back.

Finally got to try this spot in the Tower. Thoughts: the guacamole had a flavor and texture that we weren't crazy about. Chips were meh...did not seem housemade. Drinks were great! Tacos were great too. Tamales...loved the filling, but the masa was too thick , kinda tough, not enough flavor. So...we'll be back for the tacos and drinks for sure.

The habanero fries were SO GOOD! Will be getting them again. The soyrizo tamale plate was also delicious. It was jam packed with filling. The other tamales not so much. We only got about one bite of cheese in our cheese one. We did get some beef in our beef tamale but for how big the tamale is I thought there would be more. It was much more masa. That cauliflower taco was also delicious! It had great flavors and the cauliflower still had a crunch. The sweet tamale was so yummy but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce it came with.

Best tamales ever ! I have been going to CDT for over almost 10 years now. The tamales are not made with lard. The service is always great! I look forward to ordering tamales for the holidays!

What happened to CDT ?!?! More than a year ago I was obsessed with this place. The chicken tomatillo tamales were my favorite especially because they weren't spicy and neither was the sauce. I purchased a family meal yesterday for the first time in over a year and I was HIGHLY disappointed. Those tamales are now spicy and so is the sauce... I thought ok I will still eat them and the chicken was super dry and the masa was so thick and just unpleasant, no flavor and just taste like undercooked masa. I was heartbroken, because I was really looking forward to enjoying those. The pork once were eaten since they weren't spicy, but the masa was the same.

Beautiful setting and great food. As the legacy of Casa de la Tamales, you expect great tamales and this new one doesn't disappoint. But the tacos were also great, if a little bit hot for my palate. The special fries with jalapeño made my daughter swoon. She was visiting from Virginia and has really missed good Mexican food. Attentive service and a really friendly vibe made this a great choice.

Came here for brunch this morning with a few friends and was pleasantly surprised at how good the tamales were. We came right at opening, so they weren't busy at all. We were seated right away and our drinks orders were taken promptly. They have a brunch menu with some specials and mimosas. For my meal, I had the chirizo tamales with fried eggs on top, rice and beans. I also ordered a mango mimosa...because brunch! The tamales were delicious. The masa was flavorful and moist and just the right size. The fried egg on top is a must if you're having tamales for breakfast! The mimosa was also good and a fair price at $4 a glass. I had a wonder experience here and will definitely return to try more of their many variety of tamales! Food was great as well as customer service. Great addition to Tower!

Found this gem on yelp. Was looking for vegan/ vegetarian food, and I came across CDT Cocina. I ordered the cauliflower taco and jalapeño tamales, with the pesto habanero fries. Everything was delicious. The taco was light and full of flavor. The tamale was moist , and the sauce it came with delicious. I highly recommend this place. The staff is super friendly as well.

I chose this place for its vegan options, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the cauliflower tacos, pesto fries, small salad and a sweet corn tamale. My daughter and I absolutely loved every dish. It was spicy in a very good way. the cauliflower was deliciously crunchy!! Run don't walk. service was friendly and fast!!

I wanted to love this place. The restaurant itself was lovely- clean, bright and well decorated. Staff was friendly and quick. I'm sorry to report that the food was just underwhelming. Not very flavorful. I ordered the chicken taco and jalapeño cheese tamale, beans and rice and none of these items had any flavor whatsoever. The worst part was the tamale was cold in the middle and cheese was rubbery. It has the potential to be better they just need to tweak their recipes a bit and add more seasonings.

Ok I can't leave this place without talking about this Vibe!! Not to mention these beautifully crafted Margritas and I've only tried 2.

After a Yelp Event, I really wanted to bring my husband to try their margaritas and food. He is not exactly a fan of their tamales because he thinks there is too much masa and not enough meat. I personally like them. I really like CDT because you can tell that the owner is very passionate about women empowerment and passionate about her Latin culture and passionate about incorporating this into her business. After a very hard day at work, I just really wanted a margarita and I had a craving for CDT. I just love the cute and quirky aesthetics of CDT. My husband and I arrived and were seated right away. The menu was a simple paper menu. I had the two tacos and bean and rice special. My husband also got the same thing. He tried the carnitas and carne asada tacos and I got the barbacoa and salmon. The meal does come with their own green salsa which had a great spicy kick. I personally did not think it was spicy and asked for more on the side. However, if you are sensitive to spice, please get it without the salsa. I wasn't a fan of chunky beans, but my husband liked it. The food was decently priced at 10.50 for the plate. You can't really find prices like that nowadays. For cocktails, I got the watermelon margarita on the rocks with tajin rim and later, the perfect diez which is an orange creamsicle margarita with sugared rim and a fresh orange and my husband got the Paloma. The watermelon margarita is my favorite after the perfect diez. This will definitely be my go to spot for margs.

Limited hours, limited menu. Seemed to be focus on catering. location in tower district, right next to the theater, across from fresbrew. Wished they had more variety of food, sandwiches would be great. Nice service.

For one, the atmosphere here is phenomenal. It is beautifully decorated and gives a fun, light hearted energy. And. The. Food. Probably the best tamales you'll ever taste! And a HUGE bonus are the veggie and vegan options. All their tequila is purchased from woman owned businesses in Mexico. It's truly a phenomenal space. Go. And go again!!!
