“A Diamond in the rough for sure. I ordered a pound of shrimp, rice, wonton with duck soup and a drink and it was amazing. The food is reasonably priced even in 2024, the workers who I assumed are the owners are very attentive and offer a nice atmosphere. Anyone can find quality food here.“
“This place is always crowded!! Came here recently Sunday afternoon, right when the bar opened at 4pm so we got a table in the bar area to eat/drink and watch the football games. There’s always a wait for a table at the restaurant, so plan accordingly, especially if you go for dinner. They have the big beer towers if your group wants to share. Full bar with lots of alcohol/cocktail options. Great food dishes were: Ốc Hến Bánh Đa (baby clams and escargot with rice crackers), Ốc Len Xào Dừa (coconut escargot), Ốc Saté Bơ (saté garlic butter escargot) and Cơm Chiên Crawfish X.O. (crawfish fried rice)—all delicious and well flavored!! And at the end, they give each person a small complimentary bowl of Chè Bắp (Vietnamese sweet corn dessert) which is good!“
“Our server was very nice and friendly. Great customer service. We ordered the shrimp with pepper and garlic, shrimp fried rice, egg drop soup, and the Chinese broccoli sautéed in garlic. They were all excellent and were more than enough for the two of us. The place was clean and well organized. The price was commensurate for the portions.“
“I love this place and it’s boiling pots. I’ve tried the shrimp, crawfish, crab, king crab and clams. All delicious with medium whole sha-bang sauce and a side of corn and potato. Can’t be beat with a cold beer and good company. The spicy of the sauces can be modified for those that like it spicy or not. Also if you don’t like to get your hands dirty you can ask for some gloves, definitely a must if you have an infant and want to be able to feed them at any point.“
“Bomb food cause I know damn well those latins working hard put there soul and love into everything that they do so you already know the food is gonna be crazy good since ur already by Disneyland trying to find good Mexican food on a budget I recommend u got here and check it out just so u know they have some amazing asada fries highly recommend“
“The torpedo sauce medium is amazing. The food was amazing. The TVs show food shows, so it was interesting to watch while we waited. I would skip the wings, but the garlic noodles, sweet potato fries, rangoons, and the crawfish were great. I suggest live crawfish when in season.Parking: Finding a parking spot can be hard.“
“This is a food truck. We were looking for a building and passed it by twice. Very good fish tacos. Nice people. Location can appear a bit sketchy for out of towners.Parking: Parking is at a city park. I imagine if three are any events going on it might get a bit packed.“
“Wonderful customizable poke place and quick service! Clean and neat store. Good portion sizes and prices. The regular size fills me up. The fishes and sauces are delicious. I recommend to add tempura flakes to your bowl, which gives you an extra “umph”/crunch. The dining out area is on the smaller side, but it doesn’t bother me.“
“Food was AWESOME. We got a dozen oysters, crawfish Mac, calamari, and edemame. I always order calamari, even make my own and theirs is top notch. Blue point oysters were a little too briny but still good. I’ll be trying the kumomotos next time. Special shoutout to LANCE. Made us feel at home with his excellent service. Made us feel special. We’ll be back, maybe tomorrow!“
“Love their banh khot! It’s crispy and tastes great! Great service by everyone and was always available for questions and requests. I like that the restaurant is located outside of Westminster so no need to deal with traffic. They also offer a variety of other foods that I will definitely come back again to try.“
“First time here and the decor was so cute! I have younger nieces and nephews that are on a pirate themed and this was perfect. Food was amazing and the service itself had friendly staff who knew when to check in on you.Parking: Parking is based on a first come first serve basis but there is plenty once other smaller shops close for the day.Kid-friendliness: Great boat/ship kids can take pictures with.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps in the way, easy accessibility going in and out.“
“After visiting Da Vien for Vietnamese style teas and coffee our appetite was stirring for some Thai food.We wanted to go to another Thai Restaurant down Garden Grove Blvd, however the spot was too small and too packed. We took a little drive further down and found Thai Avenue. The restaurant looked pretty inviting even during lunch hour on a Sunday.Ordered their fish cake appetizer for starters and they were absolutely delicious even though Mom didn't think they would be good for the first try.Next 2 orders of Pad Thai, Pah Kee Mao, and I got the Khao Kai which was amazing to my taste buds and palate. My first try of this amazing flat rice noodle dish and I will get this again for sure.Pah Kee Mao (aka drunken noodles) was also a hit here and if you enjoy this Thai dish, you won't go wrong here. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet to be honest, I understand different cooks, different locations. I have had so many different styles of Pad Thai and a hint or a dab more of some tamarind and less sugar would have made it.Mom and daughter both didn't like it either. So all in all with the exception of their Pad Thai being too sweet, the Thai Cuisine was a 4 out of 5 stars.Restaurant is clean, organized, friendly & accommodating service. They did a great job here, thank you Thai Avenue.Parking: Plenty of parking, may vary during peak hours.“
“Great food but the crowd can be a bit rowdy for families. Great place to grab Vietnamese bar food and some drinks. The coconut snails and steak is my personal favorite and keeps me coming back. Get a fried rice and use drizzle in some coconut snap sauce, it'll be the best thing you've tasted all month.“
“Place was dead when we showed up, but people starting coming in along the way. The food was top notch, but understand this place is extremely expensive. My wife and her folks with us, we for the house bucket, and extra lobster tail. Might go again for lunar new year, but it's a once a year type of place.“
“I worked with Kevin to coordinate my wedding and everything turned out exactly as I hoped. I think the most impressive part was that I had leftover bottles of cognac (1738, about $60 per bottle) that we forgot at the restaurant after we left and the staff let my friends know so I could pick it up the next day. More notes: - we had 25 tables, which meant we qualified for free cake from Long Phung bakery (and a few other things like the name logo on the floor, fog machine during first dance, champagne tower, flowers on the table, apple cider during the champagne toast) - They allowed us to have 1 bottle of cognac on each table plus beer in the back (they set up a fancy cooler for us) with no extra charge - We were able to ask for meal substitutions, since we wanted more variety on the menu rather than just all seafood. Kevin was very honest with us about what was good and what he didn't recommend. - We had pictures on a slideshow playing on the 2 big screens. - The bridal suite had a lock (combo), was great for me when I needed to change clothes or put away valuable things like red envelopes!“
“Great food and drinks! STAFF IS AMAZING! My friends and I always celebrate our birthdays here. We've tried everything on the menu aguachiles, langostionos, ceviche, empanadas, sushi rolls, tacos de birria, shots and micheladas. I recommend it all, to everyone! Xoxoxo ?“
“You know the restaurant you've passed a million times, but have never gone inside? It's been around for as long as you remember? So it's gotta be good, right? So my friend grew up nearby & her family has always gone across the street. How can two Chinese restaurants survive right across the street from one another? Well, because the food is good. Very good Cantonese style Chinese food. We shared: beef chow fun(dry) Really good. We perhaps have found a good chow fun place since our standby,TG garden has closed. Nice bouncy noodles. Tender beef with great flavor. That's what's missing at most places. The amount of soy sauce, oyster sauce etc. The salt & pepper squid was nice and crispy, not greasy. A thin batter coating. White pepper brought to the table. So I'm guessing the salt & pepper is for the diner to add. Salt & pepper can really be subjective. Same for the salt & pepper pork chop. I added white pepper to my serving. Light batter with green chili slices & green onion. Very good. The sautéed ong choy was very good too. Nice and garlicky. Perhaps a bit too much oil though. Had to ask first containers a few times. But that's classic Chinese restaurant. A friend who is Chinese tells me, you need to be very assertive at Chinese restaurants. Cuz they're very busy, kind of understaffed(?). Be that squeaky wheel. Overall, we're glad we came. We'll be back to our new (old) neighborhood Chinese restaurant.“
“The shop is located right upstairs at Saigon market, quite easy to find. The shortest way to get there is the stairs next to Nam Giao restaurant, go straight upstairs and follow the shop's instruction board to reach the right location. Even though I've eaten at many crispy-skinned grilled fish restaurants, I still like the grilled fish here the most. Firstly, in terms of price, the fish shop has more reasonable prices than other places. Selling big fish is big fish, not medium fish like some places. The fish here is ordered about 20-30 minutes in advance and will be available immediately and very crispy. Buy it and eat it immediately, no need to bake it, it's still crispy. I like to eat more onion fat, so I asked the lovely owner to give me more. The location of the restaurant is hidden, which is a bit of a waste, every time I come here it feels a bit empty. If everyone knows this shop, this will be a great choice for grilled fish.In addition to fish, there are other dishes here. I had the opportunity to try banh xeo and beef in lolot leaves, which were also very delicious.By the way, the fish sauce here is very delicious. Usually when I buy it from somewhere else I have to mix it again but here I can eat it right away.“
“Kid-friendliness: Not just seafood on the menu. Our server "face" was so wonderful that we specifically asked for him when we came back a second time. Amazing place for the whole family. We had 2 adults, an eight year old adventurous eater and a 20 month old pickier eater.“
“Came here with a friend for a party. Not really a big fan of loud music since they are literally a bar, club for young people hanging out but their foods are undeniably incredible. We came at the time that they are making new grill foods on the menu so tried it and loved it immediately. Nice food's temperature and well seasoned are the most important to me and they nailed it. Oh and you can get a nice table outside to enjoy foods if you only want foods.Highly recommend for people inviting friend to come over and chill.“
“My family and I have been coming for years now. This spot NEVER disappoints me. Food is bomb, the service is amazing and being able to watch the games on the many TV's is great. Such a vibe here! And every worker is kind and friendly. You must try! I will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome“
“Perfect for people who want to suck and spit their seafood at home and not in public. Don't need to worry about long wait times to sit in the restaurant this spot is solely for take out. They have always been generous with their extra limes and salt & pep requests. You can call ahead and if they aren't busy orders are ready in like 15 minutes! Don't forget to ask for table covering and bibs so you can have the same experience at home as if you were in the restaurant. Pro tip, get some of your own plastic gloves so you don't have stanky sauce fingers.“
“The space is spacious and airy. On weekends, if you go early, it will help users. I really like stir-fried snails with coconut and fried rice with shrimp and crab. The staff is very cute and enthusiastic, I will come back. Reasonable price with the great quality.“
