“The jalapeño bacon burger was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life! It was loaded but still managable to eat without being messy. Not too spicy but just the right kick! The onion ring on it tasted like they sautéed it before they deep-fried it. Absolutely delicious.”
“I was looking for a different experience than normal and that is exactly what I found. The building has a lot of history to it and is lovely to experience. Every one of the staff that were there were so friendly and made sure that we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was fantastic.”
“I enjoyed the unique flavors of the pizzas, and the quality of ingredients was evident. However, the pricing seemed on the higher side. The dated atmosphere added a nostalgic touch, but a modern update could enhance the overall dining experience.”
“Good selection of vegan options: soups, noodles, stir fried veggies, glazed tofu, vegan chicken and pork, rice, potstickers, fortune cookies, etc. Ask for hoison, szechuan, soy or another vegan sauce to be safe. Not every option is labeled on the menu, but the owner family is familar with vegan diets and happy to answer questions. They also accommodate build-your-own requests like sesame tofu and veggie mixes! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-06”

“The wife and I went here for our anniversary. The decor is dated but the food was phenomenal! And the owners and staff are so sweet and fun. ❤️I strongly encourage you to get the ribeye! And the berry pie!! Also be SURE to call ahead to make reservations.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Abuelos, and I must say, their chicken fajitas for two were truly delightful. The flavor was exceptional, and the portion size was generous. My only small gripe is that they could include a few more tortillas with the dish. However, the staff was more than accommodating and provided extra tortillas free of charge upon request. Overall, a delicious dining experience with excellent customer service.”
“BEST Taco/Burrito place north of LA!! Both indoor and outdoor seating. Wonderful patio! Fabulous tacos!!?Indoor bar with wide selection of craft and local brew.Family operated with Super friendly staff. Right near the south fork of the American River.Vegetarian options: Both veggie and meat selectionKid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: One level inside and out. Raised section in outdoor patio.”
“The food was excellent and the service was down-home sweet and cheerful. It has ok seating but it seems like people usually do takeout. Excellent cookies! You can also find them at the farmer's market on Saturday when it starts up next year.”
“Great food, but apparently they don't serve families of 5 anymore. They told me they wouldn't do so many burgers again in the future ?:I told them I had no issues waiting 30-45 minutes when ordering over the phone & when I picked up they told me they what I stated above. It's not misinformation by me but possibly the staff.”
“Great spot to hang out. Ambiance is small town and welcoming. Great selection of coffees, tea, and other drinks. Super friendly staff makes it a compelling break on a busy day. Oh, did I mention delicious pastries to choose from?”
“Taco Tuesdays are the best! Usual options are beef, chicken or fish. Occasionally, they also have shrimp. All of them are delicious and the price is very reasonable. I hear they serve excellent breakfast on the weekends as well.”
“I spent 5 years in Germany during my military career and this is the closest I've found to a German beer! Great atmosphere, great people, excellent food choices and a little bit of gaming if you like... frisbee golf, darts, cribbage, dominoes or backgammon.Often glimpses of wildlife in such a peaceful place. Come and visit! I'll see you there! Dave”
“I first went there to meet up with my girlfriend...loved it. Very good service and drinks. Great crowd too. Very welcoming.Since then.. Girlfriend is no longer..but I will still come here ...cuz it is fun and several nice ladies are there too.”
“Very good menu selection's and food. No dinning in at this time. Plenty of parking, close to beautiful park with childrens play ground and dog park, public swimming pool open in Summer, Fee required, all day swim!Plenty of free parking available and restrooms. Horse shoe pit available, most times, free, must have own horse shoes.”
“Go for the people, not the food. The place is closed right now for renovations but will be reopening with new owners (still local) and better facilities. Looking forward to this community staple making a return.”
“An amazing deli with delicious sandwiches and beers! All the sandwiches were fresh and tasty as well as the onion potato chips. We enjoyed the service and overall experience!”
“Stopped in on our way to Auburn from Purple Place. Very friendly and welcoming. Plus cold beer and fun stories about Lance, who as of this date is still kickin'.”
“Best patty melt ever!Fries are fried in fresh oil. Ranch is delicious. It's very expensive for just a sandwich and a side of fries, but my kids and I go all the way there once in a while because they're so good. The young person at front-end counter was very pleasant.”
“Fabulous mocha latte that was perfectly sweetened coupled with delicious lemon chicken soup. Great service, cute place and lovely to sit outside and listen to the river ❤️”
“We are locals and eat here at least once a week. The pizza crust and pizza is amazing! It can be a long time sit sometimes but it’s worth it. Grab a salad, beer and wait. You’ll be glad you did.”
“Dropped in for Breakfast before rafting. Raining at camp so we came in to dry off and get some food. The Coloma Club is a diner with a ton of character in a remarkably rural spot between Auburn and Placerville in the foothills just outside of Sacramento. You'll sit between Coloma locals, motorcycle tourists, river guides and river runners in a building which has seen a lot over the years. (Just check the picture section). The food was diner food. Not pretentious or over-wrought, but capably prepared and it hit the spot on that cold Fall morning before we ran the American River. If you're looking for crepes, a fresh fruit and yoghurt bowl or gravy made from scratch this might not be your destination. But for a comfortable meal in a great setting surrounded by an eclectic mix of people you'll be stoked.”
“We love this place. We have a family of 5 and we spend $150 so it’s expensive but I am picky on where we go and eat because we usually eat all organic and lots of veggies at home so anywhere I like it’s more expensive. It’s a nice place to come occasionally when you really don’t want to cook dinner but you also want something good locally. We have crazy kids that run around so I really like the outside eating area so I don’t have to worry about disrupting a restaurant. It’s a casual place, you pay when you order, you grab your water and beer when you pay. There’s usually a long wait the locals no to come right at 5:00 to get your order in. The longest we waited was 2 hours usually it doesn’t take that long but it can. Kelsey gave us a free beer that time which was cool. It’s definitely not a place to come if you’re in a rush but more so if you’re wanting to hangout and have a couple beers and chill before you eat. We like the pretzel, grilled cheese and tomato soup, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, potato wedges, and the cheesecake is to die for! Not a fan of the fish tacos.”
“Me and my mother stopped in for lunch and a drink, and it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! The hospitality was incredible and so was the food. I got the breakfast quesadilla, thank you for the wonderful lunch!”
“The wine was really delicious, but the inside vibe is very weird. The inside felt outdated with the red flooring and old furniture. However, the outside deck is gorgeous and has so much potential. I would suggest they play music in the background and have their workers know how to use the register better.”
“OMG! This place is one of the best restaurants. Great service, great food. Delicious and good portions. The divide is now our most favorite place to eat. Beautiful vibe and ambiance. You have to experience it to really understand how great this place is. Try side winder fries you will not be disappointed.”
