I did enjoy the food here but the steak could have been better. My medium rare was closer to a well done. The vibe of the place is fairly offputting as well so I didn't really enjoy my time inside. It's too dark and 'diner' like. Not sure how to put that in better terms. The place smells in some areas and I had no idea why.All in all, food was okay but the service was great. Would not come back.

Hidden Diamond!!! I barely found out about Damon's about 6 months ago and we have been here 3 times. Family loves the atmosphere, the food, the amazing drinks, and the fish tank! Great place to go to just forget you are in a busy city and just unwind with some great food and drinks. The BBQ brisket and pulled pork combo is one of the best I have ever had. The steaks and coconut shrimp are equally amazing. That house salad is so refreshing!

Nice place. It's a huge space with very friendly staff. You need to walk through dining room to the hostess station by the bar. Unfortunately the prime rib was overcooked that day I was informed so I got the bone in NY and she got the ribeye both were excellent. She had Spinach and I had a salad which was amazing . Just a chopped salad with blue cheese and beets but literally I'm still thinking about that salad the next day. She had the pea soup and it was excellent. For appetizers we had the potato skins also tasty. We had some mai tais and chi chis which were not shy on the boos. All and all a nice steakhouse and a nice night

Our impromptu visit to Damon's was a delightful surprise, as the wait was surprisingly short. We savored every bite of the excellent chicken fried steak with macaroni and cheese, while the cobb salad appetizer was truly amazing, setting the bar high for the rest of the meal. Accompanying our dishes were strong and delicious Mai Tais and a Singapore Sling from the bar, perfectly complementing the tropical ambiance. Speaking of which, the Polynesian tiki decor was mesmerizing, transporting us back to the adventurous days of the 1960s. Not only was the atmosphere captivating, but the service was also quite good. Our waiter was knowledgeable and informative, providing recommendations that we would trust anytime. Their attentive care enhanced our dining experience, making it even more enjoyable. Overall, our visit to Damon's was memorable, filled with delicious food, strong cocktails, and exceptional service. We look forward to returning and experiencing the magic of this tropical paradise once again.

My friend had recommended us to try this spot out cause of their dole whip alcohol beverage! Keep in mind, we had waited for them to open at 3pm along with a few other guests that were waiting as well. So we were one of the first ones when they opened. We were looking forward to trying this place out cause my friend had said so many good things about this place. But unfortunately we had a not so pleasant experience. I had gone with a group of my girlfriends after we had gone bridal dress shopping, so we were celebrating. We were looking forward to trying the dole whip beverage but when we had asked to order it, the machine wasn't working at the time. Ok fine, that's okay. So we proceeded to order other drinks that were on the menu. We had tried to order 4 different drinks, and the bartender proceeded to say that "she didn't have any of the ingredients" She didn't have none of the ingredients? We could clearly see the mixers from the bar. I just think she didn't know how to make them, or she didn't want to make them, to be quite honest. She then proceeded to tell us what we "could order". That's when I put two and two together about it more being about the fact that she DIDN'T want to make the mixed drinks cause it was more work for her. We STILL decided to stay and ordered some drinks. We kindly asked to split the check. She literally freaked out on us & started yelling at us saying "excuse me? no I will not split the check. I can split it on 2 cards & you guys can figure it out through Venmo or on how to pay each other back. Do you see this bar? It's filled & it's only me" I have never been to a bar where they don't split checks. So this whole thing was just weird. She was being so loud, and quite rude. The other guests looked over because she was being so loud!! It made me and my friends feel so uncomfortable and unwanted. Completely uncalled for and out of line. After this had happened it killed our vibe. We were out celebrating & she just killed it. I'm sorry, but it's not my fault that you're the only bartender? I honestly don't know how she's even a bartender because she doesn't have the personality for it at all. She could've handled herself in a completely different manner. Not yell at her customers. Not even my mom yells at me the way she did she's crazy. She then proceeded to add herself a tip to our bill! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Not after all that behavior and how she treated us. My sister and my friend spoke to the manager and at first he was saying that she's by herself, & I understand that, they may have been short staffed but isn't an excuse on how she reacted and treated us. She could've handled it differently. She could've maybe asked for help from some workers or maybe asked the manager for some help or something. But not OK. Over all, the manager Micheal, was very apologetic & refunded some of our money back & told us to come back & said he'd take care of us the next time. But to be honest, we won't be back. I unfortunately didn't get the servers name, I didn't see a name tag. But apparently she works the bar on Sundays, according to her manager. Keep your money and save your time & don't visit this place!

Long story short, my group of 6 came here after being on a high for my sister's wedding festivities! My girlfriend recommended this spot for their well known dole whip alcoholic drink, so we came here after dressing shopping to celebrate my sister purchasing her wedding dress! We were yelled at by a bartender because we wanted separate checks and she simply didn't want to split our bill and said "here's the bill, you guys can figure out the rest, right?" My girlfriend proceeded to reply and said " no we want individual checks, you don't have the drinks we wanted to order" (keep in mind, we tried ordering 3 different drinks & she didn't know how to.) the bartender snaps on my girlfriend and said "excuse me? No!! I SAID NO"! there was no music playing at the bar, so you can imagine the other guests looking over at my party. Super uncomfortable and unprofessional. They definitely delivered! My twice baked potato was really dry though and my steak was really tough, but my husband enjoyed his options. He had the calamari which he said was delicious and I had the stuffed potato wedges and they were really good. He also had something with shrimp Skewers or something. we had the strongest espresso martinis that I have ever had! They were delicious, but very strong.it’s an older building, and could definitely use redecorating, but I think that probably adds to the charm. Even though my steak wasn’t that great, and was undercooked and tough, it still wasn’t great price for the amount of. So if you’re just looking for a place to have a steak and stiff drinks this place got covered!
It's been around since 1937 for a reason, they know their way around a steak and tiki cocktail. Good food and great service with a pretty reasonable price. I love Damon's.

I have to leave a honest review. We went here for dinner on 2/24 It was a very busy night. He ordered a ribeye, which was cold and not cooked to a medium plus. He didn't want to send it back but ate very little a clue to the waiter that is was bad but the waiter didn't even ask. the salad was drowning in dressing . It was just a bad night. I was very disappointed as I wanted my day to have a great meal, and this was not the place.
