Rubio's was celebrating their original fish tacos with a one dollar sale so we stopped by on our way home. The tacos were great batter crispy, fish good, Just what we usually expect when we die there. I'm writing this review because I want to say what a wonderful job Courtney did to make our dinner enjoyable. While the restaurant was fairly busy, and she was working the counter by herself, she still was amazingly pleasant and friendly to every single person she came in contact with, even though some customers had problems understanding the promotion that was going on, she carefully explained over, and to one couple over and over, she remained upbeat and kind and friendly. With employees like her this location will continue to thrive.

They forgot to add my nacho chips, i do take it personally because I drank a beer there and I feel they tried to take advantage of my “perception”.

I visited Rubios on October 29th at 6:20 PM. I ordered two entree bowls and left. When I got home and took a bit of one of the bowls the rice was extremely hard no flavor at all and the meat was stale. I also noticed there was no salsa in my bowls. I never said I did not want salsa and I wanted Mexican rice but instead got white hard rice with no flavor. Mind you after the two bites my stomach started hurting and I felt sick to my stomach to the point of wanting to vomit. This is unacceptable to me as a customer and not ok. I attempted to contact Rubios three times on the feedback/complaint page and have not received any response as of today. I've ordered here before and have not tasted anything like this. I'm thinking they had the food sitting out a long time which caused me to get food poisoning. I would like a prompt response as I have not received any. This is not ok as I paid to get good food.
Im regular customer of this Rubio's, spending from 40 to 80 $ each week, sometimes more. I love this place - good size of portion , fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, staff always friendly - Rubio's never disappointing. Five out of five.

I was a frequent customer of Rubios at this location for many years and came for taco Tuesday often. I was told by the manager that I'm not able to use the Padres free taco deal with purchase of a dessert. In my email for the deal it explicitly says that I can get the free taco deal with any purchase but excluding any sides and extra's. So I go on my app to order the taco that I wanted including dessert and had no issues ordering it online. So why is it that I can order it online without any issues but I can't order it at the register for this deal? Also, I often do the survey with my receipt for a free drink or dessert and it says I can use it within a week but the manager says I can only use it once a month now. Where does it say I can only use it once a month? This is an anonymous survey, and I would do a survey whenever I come to visit the restaurant. I will not be coming back to this restaurant again as they do not honor any deals or coupons that you have. Please mention to the management team at Rubios regarding this as they do not seem to honor or know about their deals and promotions that they offer. The second and LAST TIME we will ever eat at this location, me and my husband received our bowl of food and I noticed a food stain near the top of my bowl rim and I inspected it to see if it was wet from the food but it was dried and hard to wipe off which told me the bowl was dirty and had not been properly washed after someone else had it . My husband notice the same on his bowl. He informed a employee and she took our food to see if we could have it made again with fresh bowls. After about 6-8 mins she came back with our bowl of food. My husband asked her if they dumped the food into new bowls and she said yes, we asked to have fresh food and she apologized and took it back. Minutes later assistant manager Christian came marching to our table with the worst attitude and unapologetic demeanor and TOLD us The dried up, crusty, food stains on our previous bowls was actually from the fresh moist food just placed in it and that he was not going to make us a fresh batch of food. My husband tried to reason with him , about how he would feel eating out of a dirty bowl, that you don't know who was eating out of before you and have your food touching it , Christian ignored my husbands as he was handing him our refund and told us to have a good day. For how expensive this place is and such little portions it would not hurt to be more kind and sympathetic to your paying costumers . 0/10 do NOT recommend.
