We had to wait 33 minutes for our reservation. The restaurant itself is completely charmless. Nothing sophisticated or elegant about it. Dated tile, sad furniture, odd "lantern" lighting choices. Just boring and clinical. The food is good and the service is quite good, but I think it is no longer worth the cost.

Went to Sasabune with friends. The kitchen was perfect, with good portions, tasty. The atmosphere was nice too. The stuff was good, did their job with pleasure. Definitely recommend to visit ?

My favorite place for sushi. I got the Japanese Omakase and my wife just ordered a few different kinds of rolls. Everything was excellent and the service was very attentive. I've been coming here for a few years now and will definitely come back.

If you've never tried Sushi Sasabune, you simply must. The chefs come down the Nozawa line and if you've never tried anything from this chef, you're missing out. Melt in your mouth doesn't begin to describe the epicness of the sushi. The ambiance of the place is not great, but who cares - the fish is. Go. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent services and we order premium omakase. Great selections and choices. Sushi are fresh and delicious. Oyster is not fresh this time and mussel is ok. I will suggest stick to sushi for my next visits. Overall experience is above average and well deserve the price.

The food is great. You can tell all their fish/ingredients are fresh. However, we felt rushed by our server during our dining process. The price is definitely on the expensive side. They also charged for hot tea. We didn’t think we’ve been notified with that before we “asked for” the hot tea. Also, the serve ware they used don’t seem to match their price point. They look like some cheap plates.

I am very disappointed with the type of service and food quality. We have been longtime customers of Sasabune, and last night, I ordered the Omakase sushi box via Uber Eats for my son. He got sick from eating the sushi and was throwing up all night, and he missed school today. I called the restaurant to let them know, but there was no apology, and all they said was, "Thank you for the call." What type of customer service was that?? I am not expecting you to credit me, but at least an apology. Is that a lot to ask? Anyhow, we won't be going there ever again.

Service is wonderful. Quality of the fish is fantastic. I especially love the table-side service of fresh hand rolls so the nori stays crispy. The ambiance is nice but a bit dated. Overall I recommend.

We're semi-regulars here for a reason. Trust the chef and pick one of the omakases. Regular to start. Japanese and Premium for the more adventurous. All the sakes are great and available at half bottles. Hidden gem.

Yeah, you know. This is the best sushi in the Valley. Consistently great food and service. One reason: they make the blue crab hand roll at your table. That way, the nori doesn't have time to get soggy. This is the way it needs to be done.

It was a very nice experience. Traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. Service excellent. We ordered Omakase Japanese style. Every bite was delicious. Very good pace, and very attentive servers. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it.

Usually closed on Sundays, Chef Genji and crew open about once a season to display the fish and foods of that season. You don't get the typical omakase experience that you usually get but you get one that is more curated by Chef and he further explains his process. You also still get quite the bang for your buck too! The photos you see with this review are all from the special omakase.

Hands down some of the best omakase I have ever had! If you have ever been to Sushi Kashiba in Seattle then you need to try Sasabune.

Great place with great food, the omakase is bomb. Both the hostess and the server were great.
