Stopped by for some takeout on the way home from Monterey and it was the best decision ever. Ordered the governor shrimp tacos per the recommendation from the waiter and was blown away! These tacos (3 per order) were huge and full of plump, perfectly cooked spicy shrimp, crisp lettuce, avocado & what I thought was chipotle mayo but was surprised to find was thousand island dressing. Great pit stop on I5 for authentic and fresh Mexican food! Homemade chips and tortillas. Had one carne asada taco and guacamole- neither were on the menu but they made it fresh for me!
I ordered a burrito and diet coke. The burrito was heavy on the rice and beans, not meat. It tasted bland. Rice was cakey. Coke was out of a can. Nice folks just expected better food. Plenty of parking. Semis can easily park outside.
