Came for the vegetable tempura since this is a bit difficult to find sometimes, and it was amazing! Delicious! Employees were all nice, very good atmosphere. Will return.

Simple food n fun unique flavors you cant find anywhere else like Albacore Ecstasy and etc.**Update: Post-COVID has made the restaurant more take-out oriented, with the sushi bar seating gone. Reservations and seating is available, but reduced by 20-30% now that part of Dine-In area has been modified for Take-Out.

It’s been a while I was at Sushi Zuni but glad that everything was just as good as when I ate here last. Tasty Ramen, fresh cali rolls and crunchy tempura for a reasonable price. Great service as well.

One of my favorite place to dine when I’m in town. Took my co-workers here for dinner. Ordered several rolls. Huge assortment of Sushi menu to choose. Fast and friendly service and good food.

Wow… I went to this place years ago with family-friends and I am so happy to say that they are as good, if not even better, than when I first tried their sushi here!! Their baked scallop rolls and baked salmon rolls are TO DIE FOR! Literally some of the best sushi I’ve ever had… The lady special roll with soy paper is also very refreshing and I would highly recommend it as a pairing to some of the denser rolls :) The service here is wonderful and the chefs are so kind! They have even waved goodbye to me before! The atmosphere here is the literal best and specifically set up for calmness and relaxation with green vines creating a little privacy for guests and a warm light that really helps you settle in. My favorite sushi restaurant and a real treat for someone who you’d want to share it with! :)

Rated this 3 out of 5 stars. These are the outstanding flavors we liked. That of the shrimp tempura and its sauce. The texture of the tempura crust was light and crunchy. The best we encountered as of recent. We like the Kalbi of the Teriyaki Beef Chicken dish. The quantity of the food served was generous. The presentation or plating of the food was quite nice. The marketing materials, like the menu and place mats are very classy.Ways we felt food we ate could be improved, were the flavor and moistness of the Teriyaki chicken, the texture and firmness of the rice in the Rainbow Sushi Roll. The Teriyaki Salmon was nicely cooked and attractively presented on the dish, however like the seafood items in the Rainbow sushi roll, fish items seemed not to have a seafood flavor and texture. This is something we noticed this week with food from another restaurant serving Poke in Whittier. Maybe it's the source of the products, perhaps items may have been previously frozen. But in fairness this is making taste comparisons against fresh seafoods eaten on Oahu, Hawaii. We noted on the Sunday we ate, it was about half full and some families brought their little children to dine there. Also there were four Caucasian diners. The staff is friendly and service is quick. The clean up after people left was rapid. This place has elements of a nice establishment, tidiness would help make it even more attractive. We were there Mother's Day Sunday May 2023, and it's at the lingering tail end of the 2-year Covid shutdown.

Cozy little sushi spot with delicious food and great service! Highly recommend eating in rather than getting delivery for freshness. Definitely one of my favorite sushi spots!

Worst sushi. Quality of the fish was awful. It tasted like it came out of a super market sushi put on to a plate. You are better off going to get sushi from Nijiya than this.

Good food fairly priced and the service was pleasant and courteous. Bathrooms for both men and women, could be a luttle cleaner but they were O.K.Good Sushi, I had the California roll and it tasted great. Plenty of parking, a good place to meet, eat and talk.

Sushi Umi has some pretty tasty dishes, especially with how affordable the prices are! I ordered a sushi regular combo, with 5 pieces of sushi along with an albacore roll. The 5 sushi pieces were fresh and delicious! The California roll was also quite good and satisfying. The albacore roll was not as tasty, but still decent. Overall, I really enjoyed this sushi and I will definitely come back for more!

Passing by from out of town & decided to get lunch. This place is excellent. Even had delicious iced coffee!

It's alright, very small and crowded due to all the boxes and stuff they have all over the restaurant, why? I'm not sure. It makes the place feel uncomfortable and like you're dining in a storage room. The food is mediocre not the best sushi I have had but also not the worst. The waitress always always rushes you to order doesn't matter which waitress it is you'll be rushed so come prepared knowing what you're going to eat, the busboy is the nicest man in the whole place. He is the only one who will Come check in on your party to see if you need anything, and clears the dishes when you need.
