“Hands down the best Mediterranean cuisine I’ve ever had. Our server and who I assume was the owner were both very friendly and accommodating. We are from out of town otherwise I would eat here often.”

“When you arrive before opening and see a line that's usually a good sign, and it was no exception here. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We mainly got the hamburgers / special burgers and the herb salad. However, we'd love to try the other items on the menu as everything else had was tasty.”

“Ironically, clam chowder is middling but clam chowder is so subjective to a person. My favorite is still Hog island's clam chowder so you can kinda gage my preferences. Everything else was ok, cocktails are very ordinary, even their specials. Their fish and chips however, was really good.”

“I have to admit, as an airplane nerd I’m perhaps a little biased since this spot is at the Half Moon Bay airport it here it goes!Pilot Light is literally in an old terminal building so to the reviews that say it feels like it…. Yeah. But that said, I enjoy the environment. It’s relaxed and bustling at the same time. There’s a good sized outdoor patio with several tables when the weather is good. There’s usually a few operations of general aviation aircraft every hour.The food: I have yet to have anything here that isn’t good. I’ve tried several meals, and the Huevos Rancheros is definitely a fave. Presentation is always pretty, too!There was one review about the plastic glasses being worse for wear, but that problem is solved by nice aluminum glasses. Even the coffee, which is tasty, is served in an aluminum insulated cup!Pilot Light is definitely on my must go list in the area. “Great pizza restaurant in Half Moon Bay! Their pizza was amazingly good! The cheese is so cheesy and stretches. We ordered half and half in large size for 3 people (one kid), it was perfect portion and tastes really good. The price is decent, not too high and not too low. Also, the service was great too. We will definitely go back to check out other menus!”

“This is actually my first time going to Pasta Moon at its new location. We were going to sit outside however the air tonight is very smoky and so we decided to do takeout. My daughters favorite dish is the eggplant Parmesan and I decided to take her advice and order it also. It was ready for pick up within 15 minutes, was still warm and included two kinds of bread and extra Parmesan cheese. This was utterly delicious and new favorite dish. We look forward to coming again and sitting outside or doing takeout since that was fine.”

“Authentic Thai Cuisine in Half Moon Bay in the Strawflower Shopping Center from the talented Chef formerly of Spice Me. My review is for takeout, the service was friendly and helpful in selecting the level of spice to the Basil Chicken. The Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns was the perfect accompaniment to the Spicy Basil Chicken. The Shui Mai were served with a delicious dipping sauce, we also enjoyed the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls and the Baked Pork Bun. All items were packaged separately with the dipping sauces. There are tables if you choose to dine in.”

“This place was a huge pleasant surprise. It was a rainy/windy day and we were over in the area because we were just kind of driving the coast. We didn't expect much in this area because we were coming from the somewhat industrial looking side, but decided we wanted to look for a brewery. We googled and ended up trying this place out. Because of the weather, we didn't think there would be anyone else in here and didn't have super high hopes. We were so wrong! When we entered, there was a duo playing live music. They were enjoyable to listen to. There were also quite a few people in there of all ages and seemingly, different walks of life--always a fun thing to see. I ordered a flight and every beer on it was nice and crispy cold--the only way to enjoy beer in my opinion. And the flavors of every one were so impressive. We both love beer and are very impartial to our own local breweries in the town we live in--but coming here made me wish this was in our town! My husband ordered a pint of Sea Wolf and he really enjoyed that. I had the Love Boat on my flight which sounded intriguing to me. It was SO GOOD. It was an ill Ali eery and graham cracker sour. I'm not always a sour lover, but it was the perfect balance. I would say that and the Sea Wolf were my favorites. The gal working, Lauren, was incredibly sweet. We asked for some local suggestions of places she liked for food, drinks, etc. and she was really helpful--gave us lots of great insight. She also chatted with us about her dog and ours...overall just really cool vibes. This will definitely be a go-to spot on all our future visits to the HMB area!”

“I had the pork cochinita pibil burrito and it was delicious! It was not overpowered by the typical sour cream, lettuce or cheese. The chicken adobo was exquisite! The chicken was so flavorful, tender and juicy! We will definitely come back to try other dishes. Thanks Chef Arturo for introducing us to Mayan/Yukatan cuisine!”

“Solid Italian-American fare at this spot. GREAT location overlooking the waterfront. We had calamari fritti and salmon carpaccio for appetizers...both delish! My friend had the gnocchi Gorgonzola and I had the pasta special of artichoke lasagna. Both were quite delicious. Being full-blooded Italian I can say I've had more authentic Italian food in the Bay Area, but I've been here a couple of times and would continue to come because everything I've had has been delicious and solid.”

“We have family who live down here. We come to visit about every 3 months. We always try to come to dinner when we're here. The food, service and ambiance are always consistent. We love the variety of Naan, and also the ability to pick the hotness of what I order. Highly recommend this jewel on the Coast. Best Indian food.”
